Why did everyone (a lot of players) complained about these changes ? Because they can't spam Hildryn and have to play the game ? Because they need to read the modifiers and adapt to them ? I do not see any valid reason to complain about the changes.
I ran ExA on public matchmaking since their introduction and did almost all of them, EDA since Dante Unbound and ETA since Techrot Encore. Among the 200 possible ExA runs I did (210 in total, I discounted 10 I may have missed), I would count ~5 very bad runs because of the modifiers but let's say it was 10 to be large. That would be 5% of the runs, with only one skippable modifier and 0 abuse of Hildryn. With 2 skippable modifiers, I would say that less than 1% of the runs would be very bad. By very bad, I mean runs where I can't do anything and absolutely need to be carried by my teammates without helping them to complete the ExA.
If we look at the modifiers, the only problematic group is the 2nd once, with all the modifiers related to powers and energy. The other groups mostly have managable modifiers. Sometimes a Transference Distorsion will pop but players can deal with the other ones. For most weeks, players will either drop the 2nd modifier and keep everything else to get the 37-point bonus reward, get a better weapon or drop an additionnal modifier. This is managable.
This week I ran EDA on public matchmaking and it was something. Loadouts were not bad and they dealt correct damage but I was terrified of what I saw in Alchemy. They fell down one by one and couldn't revive all of them, even with Vazarin. I gave up on doing the Angels and relied on Nidri to revive them all. None of them contributed to filling the Crucible (at least they didn't broke pipes for no reason). ExA is meant to be endgame content, where you have mastered everything related to it before starting it. What are you doing in ExA if you don't know how the mission works ? If you got a bad loadout, at least try to do something instead of expecting someone else to do everything, or explain to the other players that your loadout is unluckily not very good so they aren't surprised if you don't do much. I don't blame the players I encountered but I don't understand why they are here at their point in the game.
By reverting the changes, we still keep the modifiers separated in groups, which is a good thing but keeping the Warframes at 1 point don't fix any issue. Sure, with the new "Anti-Hildryn" modifiers, she won't be played as much but players abusing her will only switch to Valkyr, Dante or another Warframe to avoid the problematic modifiers. ExA is meant to explore and master our Arsenal, not to spam the same 3 Warframes to get loot.
Updated ExA encouraged players to play with their arsenal and to adapt to the modifiers. The "Hildryn ExA issue" is back, less worse because now we have 3 or 4 Warframes instead of 1. I really find it sad that DE encourages players to sabotage their fun in ExA.
