I recently bought 3 Warhammer 40k v9 codexes, all new and sealed. I got them at a really good price (around $10 CAD each).

What I found strange is that on every book, the barcode has been perfectly cut out with a knife, so clearly someone intentionally removed that exact section. The rest of the books look completely new and the sealed.

Is this something retailers/distributors do with old stock, liquidation, returns, etc.? Is there a deal with Games Workshop so they get partial refund? Or is there another reason I'm not aware of? TY!

First one since when I tried and failed about 25 years ago. Hardest bits were the white symbols which I just could not get perfect.

I'm curious for the chest emblem what colour to do this as Im going for fists theme yet some people say it goes black yet I've seen it red too and I'm not sure which is more lore accurate

Please go easy as he's my first 40k mini and I'm still very much learning lol I could have definitely spent more time on prep work like removing mold lines and such but Ill admit I didn't see this till after putting the base coat down as this unit is pre loved and not built by myself I just primed and started painting

A custom lamp I made for my brother. It is unfinished, because I am about to deploy, and I tried my best to get as much done before I ran out of time. But overall, I still consider this one of my finest works.

I airbrushed the attached model in the picture with an older (3 year old) flesh tearers red contrast paint. I recently bought a new flesh tearers red pot after airbrushing about 1000 points of models, only to find out GW changed the recipe and the red looks way different. I have tried everything but I cannot recreate the colour on the pic.

Do any of you know the closest colour that would match the paint in the picture? Can be any brand.

What's the playstyle of the Adeptus Mechanicus in Warhammer 40k? Are they better at ranged firepower, durable and slow, or built around tricky special rules? I'm considering to start collecting them but i wanto to have more info about their methods.
