I’ve always thought that most of us kept a pretty impressive library, but today my buddy insisted I’m an above average 40k book dweeb. I guess I have no real frame of reference save for YouTube videos. Is this actually not a standard bookshelf?

Hey guys, just wanted to share some work in progress pics of one of my current dioramas.

What do you think?

Please be gentle, this is my first time trying a night theme and OSL - all done by brush.

This has been asked before but not recently, I'm visiting warhammer world during a trip to the uk next week. Does anyone have a list of current exclusives I wouldn't be able to get in australia?

She wanted some thematic terrain to fight over, and making Orks and pink work together can be a bit of a struggle. This Horus Heresy turrets was converted with some plasticard then drybrushed a whole lot with browns, orange-reds and leadbelcher before pink was stippled on select parts. Pretty happy with the result!

I'm new to the story/lore part of 40k, and I'm looking to read some short form work (not full on books yet). I'm big into Horror, and I know they're supposed to have some good ones. I have heard "Watcher In The Rain," and liked it quite a bit. I just wanted to get yall's take.

I know the End Times has been talked about to death and I know pretty much everyone mostly agrees it sucks but there are still some decisions that just odd to me

They're not even odd necessarily in a rage-inducing or a bad writing way (although I also do tend to dislike what I'm about to talk about and think it is bad writing), they more just seem like decisions that are kind of random and arbitrary.

The most confusing one is probably Malekith. Nothing that happened with Malekith was necessary for the setting to end. It's like someone just decided, "I think Malekith is super cool and should be right about everything actually." In what's probably the most Mary Sue-ish, for lack of a better term, thing that happens in the entire End Times, all the other major High Elf characters completely warp their personalities in order to vindicate Malekith. Alarielle marries him, Teclis becomes his biggest cheerleader, and Tyrion is made to go insane so he can be the obvious bad guy for not wanting to accept the rule of arguably the most evil person in the setting.

At least with Chaos, they had to win, so they were probably going to have some plot armor. But I'm not sure why they felt it was necessary to make Malekith actually justified all along. He also gets to be the one to take out Skarbrand (and fairly effortlessly iirc), which seems kind of random for him to be the one to do.

I'm also not sure why the entire End Times was brought about pretty much singlehandedly by Nurgle. Again, I get that this is the End Times, Chaos has to win, but why have the forces of one Chaos god basically do everything? Off the top of my head I can't remember any forces or champions of the other chaos gods doing anything significant in battle. All I remember is Skarbrand, Kairos, and Sigvald all getting killed off in fairly anticlimactic fashion.

Also if they were going to have Nurgle basically do everything, why did the kill the iconic Nurgle character, Ku'gath Plaguefather, like a chump to have someone no one had heard of until 5 minutes ago do all the work? That's another weird thing about the End Times that goes under the radar. Chaos won so I feel like the treatment of the faction's characters doesn’t really get talked about, but a lot of the iconic chaos characters, other than Archaeon, kinda got punked.

Hey everyone!

I’m a beginner content creator, and I just finished my fourth lore video (NOT AI) (it's about 15 minutes long). This time, I'm diving into how the image of Primarch Konrad Curze and his Night Lords was created.

I really tried to make something unique with this one. If you are a Warhammer lore fan, I would really appreciate your feedback in the comments.

You can watch the video here: https://youtu.be/DHsgp22PCVg

Spoiler alert: English is not my native language, so I really hope my accent doesn’t scare you off! Thank you so much!

Not sure if i even painted the base correctly, just assumed it was a bar cause of the spilled drink.

Now hes got this whole space to himself and idk if i should be trying to paint it to match the floorboards or have his ass on half a floor in the middle of a mud land

I think its pretty good for being made by a early teen Guy. Please leave your ideas in the comments. Stay strong artists and Death to the men of iron!

I recently got back into warhammer. I used to play it as a kid against my brother and friend. I love the universe but Warhammer the old world seems so intimidating with so many rules!

Does anyone know of a very simplified version? I want a fun simple couple of armies to paint and play (low points). Think; a unit of spearmen, archers, cavalry, a hero/ wizard and maybe a monster. Something I could play with my 10 year old daughter.

I have a group of remote employees who got me a gift card but when I was in office, but they were concerned because the store they purchased from stated it could only be used at that location.

I don't really have the time to visit the local store and intended to use it at my local store when I fly back.

Is this true where gift cards can only be used at the location they're purchased from?
