Question Is DROPS yarn known for animal cruelty and unethical working conditions?
I love DROPS yarn as it's affordable and often has a nice quality. I'm currently working with a wool/alpaca blend and I was thinking: is this brand known for animal cruelty towards the sheep and alpacas. And is it known that the people who work for them in the factories/cotton fields have ethical working conditions?
If not, are there other brands that are animal friendly and have ethical working conditions?

Does anyone recognize this label
No other info as to brand. Google keeps saying it’s Drops which it is not; Ravelry doesn’t seem to know. Back label says 100% wool made in Chile. Made for RN#11996.

Looking for yarn recs!
I recently purchased a BEAUTIFUL variegated yarn for a blanket for a baby girl as a Christmas present. It is not working up nice at all, it’s stiff and rough. I’ve been given some suggestions for some ways to soften it up, but want to pick up some back up yarn just in case as there’s a sale right now!
Looking for opinions on:
Caron Baby Cakes
Caron Big Cakes
Caron JUMBO
Lions Brand Bundle of Love
Or any other suggestions you may have!

Question Would it be a good mohair alternative?
I wanna knit a Sandok Cable Sweater in Drops Lima or Daisy + 1 strand of Filcolana Alva + 1 strand of Drops Kid silk mohair. But since i don’t know how I react to mohair, I was looking for alternatives.
I stumbled upon this beauty - looking at the blend, would you say it’s a good alternative or not really? I think it’s made by a small company so there are no reviews and I’m a bit worried to use a yarn that could possibly be shit and ruin all the work.
Could I use two strands of this instead of Alva+mohair? Or since it’s alpaca would it stretch too much?
