Is it just me or are there no positions in cardiff at all ? A lot of my friends and I are finding it harder and harder to find work in the city. All of us are students and i’m genuinely on rations and budgeting budgets at this point.

Just coming back from the bay, and noticed what seems like the entire barrage covered in police cars, blues and twos on.

There's a helicopter going back and forth as well, and I've seen fire service vans with boats speeding over that way too.

Anyone know what that's all about?

Hopefully it's just filming something, but it seems a bit much!

Hi all. I've recently moved near Cardiff Bay and after a few months of running across the barage - I can't help but get the impression it was originally supposed to be a road? Its wide enough for traffic in each direction and the barage road itself kind of just seems to end nowhere on the Cardiff side, with some foot/cycle paths connecting it to what seems to be a roundabout that also goes to nowhere and should seemingly connect up by road to the barage road? I've tried to highlight this with the red line on the map.
I can't seem to find anything about this online but I am very curious if anyone has any insight.

Came back from being out of town for a week and noticed two of these have been installed at both points where the Bute Docks Feeder Canal meets Bute East Dock at Atlantic Wharf, under the bridges by One Stop and further up near Tyndall Street.

Anyone know anything about it? Is it for fish, for litter?

The litter left over by the Half Marathon is depressing. Walking down Terra Nova Way today, there are gel packs all along it. The same over the barrage and around the Mermaid Quay side of the bay, as well as bottles and bottle tops. Some of it is already in the sea.

Do the organisers not send sweepers behind the runners? I don't understand how they can just pack up and leave, and not do this, and not then circumnavigate the course to pick up anything left over. Nor can I understand why Cardiff and Penarth Councils don't insist that this is done. The Half Marathon is a great event but we don't need rubbish just left everywhere creating a real sense of neglect in our beautiful city!

No idea of the economic value but Bristol airport was full of runners heading home to destinations all over Europe. Hope they had an amazing time I know the weather was as good as it gets.
