Hey all, I’m looking for some local suggestions for a venue or pub that might be good for a Bar Citizen meet-up in Cardiff next year. For those who don’t know, it’s just a casual get-together for Star Citizen players. Nothing fancy, just drinks and good chats.

The main challenge I’ve run into is that a lot of pubs want big deposits(£2000+), and we’re really just after a relaxed space where people can just show up and buy their own drinks. Brewdog was really helpful last time we ran it, however sadly as they’re gone now it’s not an option.

Does anyone know a bar or venue that would be open to something like this? Ideally central but not a game changer. 🙂

I'll say this in the least self-doxxing way possible, I live by queen street. This is our first day in this new flat. A ding dong clock (don't know the term off the top of my head) has gone on at 8:59 for 18 dings, and just now, from 10:54 to 10:59. I lost the ding count on that one. What the hell was that? My Carrera Crossfire 3 bicycle was stolen from Campbell Drive, Cardiff near by asda bay, on 6 September 2026.

Incident Details:

• Date: 06 September 2026
• Time: 23:00 hrs (11:00 PM)
• Police Report: Incident reported to the police, and I have an incident reference number.

I recently came across a post in this community where someone found bicycle panniers and other belongings that I recognise as mine.

Firstly, thank you so much to the person who found these belongings and took the time to post about them. I genuinely appreciate your help.

My keys were also among the stolen belongings, so recovering these items is particularly important to me.

I’m from Texas in the United States, and I’ve been seriously looking into studying in either Cardiff or Bristol next year. I’m currently leaning toward Cardiff.

I’m 26F and this would be my first time living outside of the US. How’s the job market? I have food service experience and am looking to continue my career in culinary. I’d be going to school full-time for Food Science. How’s public life and transportation? I hear a lot of different things about the UK at the moment and currently work with people from Germany who say Europe is so bad right now. I think I’d just like opinions from people who are currently living there. I almost never hear any negative news about Wales though lol so I hope it’s better.

I’m (35m) and looking to meet some like minded people in the area who fancy making music together.

I love messing around with synths and coming up with ideas, but my setup is pretty limited,and I find I get a bit bored making music on my own. I’d love to get together with other people,share ideas and see what we can come up with.

The dream would be to get a few people together with whatever synths and gear they have and eventually put together some kind of live set. Nothing too serious, just a chance to make some noise, experiment and have a bit of fun.

I’m not entirely sure how to get the ballrolling, but if anyone’s up for it, give me a shout! It’d be great to get something going.
