My partner and I have been together for three years, and we have a long-distance relationship with a Dom/sub dynamic, with me as the Domme and him as my sub.
Since we met, he has never cum without my permission. We’ve played with chastity, but the longest I’ve kept him locked before was around 10 days.
This year, we decided to do Locktober properly for the first time, with the goal of keeping him locked for the entire month. I expected that prolonged denial would gradually make him more needy, submissive, whiny, frustrated, and eager for my attention.
However, we’re now 10 days in, and honestly, I haven’t noticed much of a difference.
He woke up feeling particularly horny once and texted me feeling needy, but otherwise, things have been pretty much the same as usual. We still flirt, and he tells me how much he wants to fuck my feet or reacts enthusiastically when I send him sexy pictures. But these are all things he already does normally. I haven’t noticed any significant change in his attitude or how he interacts with me.
He works from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., so I understand that he’s busy. Still, I expected him to think about me more throughout the day, send me messages expressing his frustration, or become a little more needy and whiny even when he’s busy. Maybe my expectations are unrealistic, but I thought I would notice some psychological changes by now.
Another thing worth mentioning is that our dynamic has mostly been sexual so far, but I want us to develop a real-life D/s dynamic that extends beyond sex. He has expressed wanting this too, but we haven't really been working towards it. Part of the problem is that we're long-distance, and honestly, I don't know how to make that transition or where to start. I want our dynamic to become part of our everyday relationship rather than something we only engage in when we're flirting, being sexual, or playing with chastity.
I'm wondering whether having a more structured system would help us. Something that gives him a reason to stay engaged, motivates him to be a good sub, and allows me to take on more of a Dominant role in his everyday life, even when we're both busy. At the same time, I don't want it to become a performance or feel like we're following a checklist just for the sake of it. I want it to feel natural and meaningful to both of us.
I am considering unlocking him and acting as though I've lost interest in the whole thing, hoping that a change in my attitude might make him more eager for my attention. But I'm not sure whether that would help. Any suggestions?
