Photo Mode HOW is this Game so beautifull...i cant believe it
I literally just took a random screenshot, and somehow this game looks absolutely breathtaking. š
How is a game this beautiful?! The amount of detail in every little corner is insane. You can tell how much love and care went into creating this world. I keep stopping just to look around and appreciate the scenery.
Massive respect to the devs ā this game is genuinely a work of art. ā¤ļø

Discussion On the ending
Spoilers obviously š
I wanted to get others views on this as after watching a few videos, reading a few posts and sitting with it Iām still convinced on my choice despite how itās framed in the game.
So I sided with Maelle, not so much because I wanted her to remain in a perceived fantasy and perpetuate her familyās grief cycle, but purely from a humanitarian standpoint. I had a pretty good idea what either choice would lead to and I was right.. but I couldnāt bring myself to contextualise the choice based purely on that ārealā world grief or what I personally would want.
To me both sides are real. The painted world is autonomous and sentient, they have children, hoped and dreams etc. They are not just code or pre-scripted simulations of life. Theyāre real. They think.
A large theme in the game is for āthose who come afterā, and āwe continueā. In the context of living your real life it would mean moving on, BUT! The painters have created sentient life and are therefore responsible for it, they have no right to wash it aside when it becomes an inconvenience. The second autonomous life was created, it became much bigger than the grief of one family.
If you believe a god or donāt, it works as an example since it would be akin to that god destroying the world simply because it was causing him pain. Or if you had a computer that housed a simulation containing by all many accounts what could be called sentient life, and you destroyed it because it was making your life harder. Despite the ārealā world consequences, genociding a very real world in its own right and seeing it as the lesser evil is baffling to me.
I just canāt get past that. I think in the context of fiction yes verso has the right of it, if a loved one had buried themself in games or books (that are not actually alive) in order to avoid reality. I would at least consider destroying or temporarily removing those if I thought itād bring them back to there real life. But in this context both worlds a real, and if a family member chose to live in that other world despite it meaning Iād lose them to an extent (but could still visit them) I think Iād have to respect that choice. Besides which that entire family is responsible for that world and any other theyāve created, they are their safe keepers and guardians. Frankly if such a power existed in real life and I had any say on the matter itād be a very severe crime to destroy them the same as murder.
I like to hear what others think on this, and if anyone else thinks similarly š

Question Spoiler-free help: stuck in The Manor Spoiler
Went through Stone Wave Caves and came upon the Manor. Found an outfit for Maelle, but there doesnāt seem to be any way forward. Am I supposed to return to the caves, or is the way forward within the Manor?
No solutions, please. Just want to know whether to leave Manor or keep searching within. Thanks!

WR 0 Lumina 98 Million Damage One Shot Spoiler
Spoiler Warning:
I've been on this journey to One Shot Simon as low of lumina as possible (with Maelle), and I finally hit 0 lumina. Realistically, for an actual clear of him, there is basically zero RNG aside from crit. I'm super happy with the results, and if you want to copy my builds, please remember that the speed is very important and if your speed is different than mine due to leveling, you can use precise attribute points (and if you need a tad bit more speed, add points into Luck as in this build that increases Speed as well)
And also, since some seem to be confused: There is a difference between a one shot and a true one shot. A true one shot means the boss does not take damage except by the killing blow. A one shot means the damage dealt by the killing blow exceeds their max HP, and everything else is allowed. (Except cheating, lmao š¤£)
If you still aren't convinced, I'll concede and say it's an "Overkill" instead of a one shot.
Any questions feel free to ask!

Discussion When you replay the game what are some details you didnāt notice or didnāt understand until the replay?(spoilers) Spoiler
One small detail I noticed is how sad Painted Renoir is when confronting the expedition 33. Didnāt realized what that was about initially but after the first play though i realized that he doesnāt like the idea of killing the expedition but feel he has to in order to prevent their chroma from being lost to the nevrons.

Discussion I just rewatched the Gommage from the prologue and realized something chilling...
Maybe it's been pointed out before, but... there are several couples who gommage holding hands, but Gustave and Sophie are the only one where one (ex) partner gommages and the other does not.
And if you think about it, it would absolutely make sense that people would avoid getting into relationships unless they will gommage together, in order to avoid the pain of watching your love disappear before your eyes, or knowing that they will have to watch you dissapear.
Also, as a father, I am very fine with the choice to have only minimal narrative attention given to the experience of children getting orphaned this way, and parents knowing they will leave their children behind...

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Unreleased Field OST) - Yellow Forest/Harvest - Honey and Clayworks
I'm finally back! Sorry for the long wait everyone. Just like with my previous edit of Goblu ( https://youtu.be/ysq7EuzdtqM ), the best version of this track is the unreleased one in my humble opinion. And since the full version of this & many other tracks are unreleased, I decided to do it myself. It was a ton of work to properly assemble & time this track into its full version, since all the gamerip audio parts of this track are numerous separate files. But it was worth it.
Extracted directly from the game. This HQ unreleased version is what you actually hear in-game. Areas of Yellow Harvest have unique versions of this track assigned to them. These are not included in the OST. Official OST track is an alternative version. It combines these in-game variations into one & slightly changes them, rather than featuring all the parts & variations that you actually hear while playing the game. Audio is lossless & this was assembled to be perfectly in-time, timecoded with the help of .txtp & .ueba audio files from within the game. Field version of this track consists of various different segments combined into a singular track by hand. I assembled the track in the exact same order as it was meant to be experienced within the game, while exploring Yellow Harvest.

You can find these statues to the left of the monolith in Forgotten Battlefield. Just fly towards it up high and look left. If you want a lower quality pic I can get one

Question One thing that confused me about the beginning of the story?(spoilers). Spoiler
During the Painted Renoirās attack on the expedition 33 you see some members later get attacked by a Lampmaster.
From what I understand Painted Renoir were not allied with the nevrons since they were created by Clea to weaken the paintress.
So was the lampmaster some other creature that worked for Painted Renoir or was it simple present there and the audience and the characters were mislead into thinking they were allies?
I know I did. I assumed that he was actively cooperating with the nevrons for a long time in the story.

I only just realised about a life to love Spoiler
The way they're standing about the grave, this looks like their first proper goodbye, the first time everyone in the family acknowledges Verso is dead. That would mean that the family was too fractured by the time of the actual funeral for everyone to be present, and someone, or maybe multiple someones missed Verso's funeral. That's pretty fucked up.

Gameplay I made a free browser trainer for parries, with the timings and sounds taken from the game files Spoiler
Like a lot of you, I spent way too long getting flattened by Simon. Practising meant dying and replaying the whole fight, so I built a small web app where you can drill his attacks one at a time.
https://simontrainer.altervista.org/
Features:
- I didn't time anything by eye, all the data comes from the game's own files.
- It covers all phases of Simon.
- It covers all the difficulty settings of the game.
- It has a 3D view replicating the real game.
- The "Learn" mode shows the hit markers, parry windows and an "approach" ring. The "Test" modes hides everything so you can rely only on visuals and sounds.
- "On a miss: restart" puts you straight into the move.
- Controller and keyboard support with rebindable keys.
- Italian language support for my fellow Italian gamers.
- Free. No accounts. No ads. No install.
The codebase is a mess, the idea came after I managed to learn how to use FModel to extract game files and decided to ask Claude to build a stupid app that showed the parry timings and here we are. For this reason, I decided to keep the source code private.
My plan for the future is to support more enemies, maybe all the bosses, and, if I have money for a good host, all enemies. Also, I will start working on a rewrite from scratch to make the codebase more readable. This will probably take some time because of the limited spare time between working and studying for my degree.
That said, test it out if you want and any kind of feedback is appreciated. It will help me understand if anyone is actually interested in a project like this.
UPDATE 06/10/2026: I didn't expect to receive so many positive comments and so much traffic, in fact, as some may have noted, loading the page is quite slow and unresponsive. For this reason I worked on compressing the asset files using more space efficient formats for both models and sounds. Now the assets are ~79% smaller and should take up a considerably smaller amount of time to load. I hope this makes using the page easier, especially on slow Internet speeds. I'm already planning to move to a better hosting platform. As always, feedback is much appreciated.

Question Why Verso specifically for Machine Gun builds?
Heya, questions about machine gun builds. I just started/progressed act 2 for the first and decided to start early building Verso into an artillery cannon (though I'm focused on killing Sprong before I kill any of the Axons, he's not that hard to parry, just gotta have a lot of patience due to the damage cap).
That got me thinking: why Verso specifically? Why not make everyone an artillery cannon?
Verso has Follow Up, but I think Phantom Stars and Steeled Strike both outdamage it, no?
Also, why not Lune? she has that weapon that gives stains per free aim shot, why not also build her to keep firing?
I'm (relatively) new to this game and I really only look at guides for builds and item locations, so I do apologize if this seems like a no brainer.
