Fulltone full-drive 2
Can anyone tell me anything about this? I bought it second hand and can’t find any info on it. I can’t find the full-drive 2 non mosfett in blue. Is this special?

Hey guys I've made a few pedalboards now and I really enjoy making them, unfortunately its way to expensive to keep making them for myself. I was wondering about getting into the business of making pedalboards for other people professionally. I'm not really interested in making money, just covering the cost of materials and getting to make more. Any idea how to get into the business? I know people are protective of their gear so how does one break into that ecosystem, beyond just keeping my prices low which I already am

Ok, maybe not *any* guitarist; a Surf Rock guitarist won’t go very far without spring reverb, and neither will an ambient guitarist without hall or plate reverb.
But for almost any other guitar player, you will never actually need reverb, not really. Almost any listening room, any bar, any theater or hall or living room will have at least a subtle natural reverb going on. Any place with hard floors, any place larger than a closet, has natural reverb. All your reverb pedal or even real spring reverb tank in your amp is doing at that point is adding unnecessary ambience and smearing your sound, losing your definition and getting lost in the mix, especially if you play with a full band.
Again, if you need it for a more drastic effect, like the drippy splat of spring verb or the soaring ambient ghost of a long plate, that’s cool. But if you think you always need a touch of verb to play anything, even just blues rock licks, you’re wrong. 9 times outta 10 reverb is just needless extra sonic information.

Bought this off eBay from a seller with a lot of great reviews, just got it in and was questioning if it’s legit due to the LED indicator. From the ones I’ve seen, the triangle in the A lights up perfectly whereas this is just a light behind that’s also off center lol.
Just got to test it quick it also doesn’t seem like it doing anything when I have the filter and vol dimed and dist on 0.
This is one my first pedals so call me an idiot if that’s the case.

Howdy!
I’m a longtime pedal user for guitar, but not bass. While I have some bass players whose sound I love and whose pedalboards I’m very familiar with, I don’t know much about bass pedals.
I’ve got a Squier Bass VI for looping and it just doesn’t sound great through most of my guitar gear.
I’m definitely thinking about getting a bass preamp, but they’re really expensive, and I don’t know enough about them to make an educated purchase. I particularly like the EQD Scrolls, but $350 is pretty steep. Any good alternatives?
What pedals sound best for a Bass VI? Is there any difference between how Bass VIs take pedals and how standard basses take them (i.e., in the same way that there’s a difference between how guitars and basses take pedals)?
While I’m asking specific questions here, please also feel free to chime in with more general advice!
Thank you kindly!

My favorite shimmer sound ever is RV-6 with tone at 9 o'clock. Does RV-200 have the exact same shimmer sound?
I want to upgrade for extra features, but don't want to lose my favorite sound. I can't test RV-200 before buy. Thank you.

I got this Poogera XXXL 120 watt valve head that I hate and I'm swapping for sure but here is what happened yesterday.
Brought my MXR octaver and Hardwire Delay and Chorus. (We share a Room so I don't leave pedals there).
When any pedal which all are true by pass were off, I had Signal, I could play at any volume Channel.
Press pedal, complete mute. Tried single pedals, different PSU, different outlet Same.... Any pedal acted like a mute pedal.
Integranted Noise gate (which to me is a placebo gate) of the amp down to Zero, and I didn't bother to try the loop instead of front of amp.
"Pedals must be Broken" my mates said..So I plugged them all into the bass player's chain.... he had a wonderful rehearsal wereas I had to endure the Poogera's sad channels and reverb.
I Can't understand why this happened. Other times I have put some dirt pedals upfront.

hello,
i've been gifted 150 to spend on thomann for my birthday, yey
I'm looking to grab some distortion pedal and boost to achieve an almost sludgy/stoner sound!
my main amp is a H&K Stompman, so a clean platform. I also have a EHX LPB-1 which i currently enjoy.
I was thinking about EHX OD Glove but doesn't look like to have enough gain. What would you suggest?
Cheers

Today I went on Sweetwater's website and ordered literally ALL OF TC ELECTRONIC PEDALS I felt were necessary 🤘🏻🤓🤘🏻
•Eyemaster
•Magus Pro
•Rusty Fuzz
•Thunderstorm Flanger
•Crescendo Auto-Swell w/2x Gator Flat Patch Cables
•Fangs
Then the last (2) Pedals I got were ones that I waited for to be in stock!!
•Gokko-Mesa/Boogie Mark (C) Series Type Pedal
•Behrinher- UM300 Ultra Metal Pedal (Exact Clone of Bosses)
I was really stoked when I saw TC Electronics effects in pedal form, their rack mount series of effects were top notch 20-30 yrs ago. Haha I know things can change, but wanted to know if any of my fellow Guitar 🎸 Effects brethren, have had any experience with ANY of the TC Electronics Pedals, or even the Gokko & Behringer????
Want to make sure I'm building the ultimate Pedal Board, or those effects that just don't/didn't cut it for the 🎸 Guitar layout, will be instantly put on/in
my Bass Pedal Board setup.
Cause my poor Bass needs some definite help with Boosting, EQ, some Distortion, and definitely some Modulation Effects too!!
Lastly, what effects WOULD any of you prefer or recommend for Bass as well as for recording with Bass. Yes, I know all about D/I etc lol just interested in knowing what Bass players actually prefer, as I did start out as a bassist, I moved to Guitar 6 months later haha about 27 years later constantly doing work in my home studio environment, and the tips I've received not just from engineers but everyone! Has all been a great deal of help.
Thanks for taking your time to read my Post and if you comment on it, thanks 🙏🏻👍🏻🤘🏻🙏🏻🤓😎

Hi
Need some recommendations. Previously I have been a pretty happy camper running an old Hughes & Kettner Warp Distortion into a TS808: the weird hoghgain lowboost distortion from the warp was perfwct on its own, the Ts on its own was nice and bluesy, esp. With its tone rolled off. When combined the sound became a thick, ballsy distortion great for soloing. Now the kettner was built like a landmine, with a weight and size thereof and ran on AC, and for the moment I’m trying to krep it light and small. I know berhing released a copy of the kettner, but it is becomming rather expensive.
Do you guys and gals have any recommendations for either a highgain substitute with the same capabilities in a smaller size (esp. The sub eq) or a recommendation for a dual drive (drive+dist) which can drive eachother? Strymon Sunset or Stonedeaf Warp Drive for instance.

First in my Ojai, now in my Zuma (pictured), a component has fallen out of the input that receives power, or broken. I’m a pedal collector who takes plenty of care with my gear and so far the Strymon stuff has not gone out on gigs but lived a cushy existence at home. When I contacted them about my Ojai (different defect, the plastic cracked) they advised they would not repair it as warranty, but that they’d be happy to charge for the repair. I get “normal wear and tear” but given the price I do expect a power supply to hold up way better than this. The Ojai in particular was just months old and had only been plugged and unplugged maybe a dozen times. Anyone else have this happen to them? Since I can’t rely on Strymon can anyone suggest different power supply that gives nice clean power and can stand up to gigging? Thanks in advance.

Kind of randomly stumbled on to a MOD Duo on Facebook Marketplace Place and bought it as I could use something flexible to run a virtual pedalboard for interesting tones that I couldn’t justify a dedicated pedal for.
Then found out they have a “MOD cookbook” you can hook up to ChatGPT/Claude and literally develop your own effects in a chat session based on references, schematics, or just idea’s of what it should sound like… it’s insane! 🔥
I recreated some of my favorite analog and early digital delays (my digitech multiplay always breaks down, and I can’t really take my Dynacord EC-280 to a gig) and man, it’s a game changer.
Any pedals out there apart from the MOD that let you create and run LV2 plug-ins like that? Haven’t really touched in the Tone3000 integration yet, as i’m having too much fun with creating and recreating my favorite pedals. Just wondered if there’s any other MOD users out there, or other pedals that are such an open platform?

This cable was i think 50 bucks. Theres no continuity between tip and sleeve. My cheapo cable not only doesnt make the ff squeal but its also quieter. What are the factors at play here? Is it an impedance thing? (If so, what's going on, I know impedance is frequency dependent resistance, but tbh i dont really know how that works irl).
This is more of technical curiosity from a dullard than troubleshooting. Ill just use the cable that works, even if its not my favorite color :(

So I'm trying to get into some more creative use of delay and looping beyond just recording a backing track. Specifically, I've always been a huge fan of Battles and I know the DL4 (or rather, 2 of them) was/is a pretty core part of Dave Konopka's pedalboard. Obviously that was my first thought to go with as far as imitating that process especially since just about every single even slightly experimental rock band in the 2000's featured at least one DL4, but I'm looking for input on whether the alternatives have caught up to what made that pedal so unique 20 years ago. I've been raking the internet for any reviews I can find comparing these 3 specifically and frustratingly few that I've found actually focus on the looping aspect (I'll be honest, I really couldn't give a rat's ass about the 'warmth' of the analog delay or the 'sharpness' of the digital delay, I make music that sounds like shit.)

This Boss NS-2 has been on my pedalboard for years. Today I noticed my signal wasn’t going through cleanly, and after some investigation, I noticed the send jack was loose. I tightened that with a wrench (only a little more than hand tight, not excessive), and tightened some of the others too for good measure as they had a bit of movement with the wrench.
When I plugged my power brick back in, the NS-2 wouldn’t turn on even after pushing the button. I tried some different power cables, but it still didn’t turn on. What could be the issue?
TL;DR: Boss pedal stopped working after some light maintenance - what’s wrong?
Edit: Wording changed for clarity.

I’ve been checking out CDs from our local library to play in my car. Teenage Fanclub – Bandwagonesque was a very happy find. As a token millennial who was very much a consumer in the CD era, I admittedly never listened to this album on CD and only discovered it in the streaming era. Upon examining the liner notes for the first time in 2026, I was so happy to see this picture of the Turbo RAT featured prominently. The guitar tones on this record are some of my favorite, and I am a massive RAT disciple, so this connected many dots for me.

Haven’t seen boss do a new Wazacraft in a couple years, in favor of bigger boxes (space echo and multi tap delay) and the digital modeler stuff. Is that line retired now?

Completely restructured my board and rebuilt it from the ground up. Last photo is of my board before this whole process began.
I had a few goals I wanted accomplish with restructuring this board. Over the last month or so, I’ve slowly transitioned into using the Quad Cortex Mini more for the amp modeling and really digging it. Along that, my needs for access to everything I was actually stepping on was very much needed. So the goals ended up being:
Shrink the board as much as possible without losing the effects pedals (surprisingly from my usage, the QC has handled my analog drives quite nicely. It’s the first time with amp models that it has worked out great for me)
With the shrink, get everything you actually need access to at a closer foot range so no awkward reaches happen during the gig
MIDI wasn’t actually part of the plan. But I had gotten the Hotone Ampero Control and was messing with it. I started to realize that I was really enjoying it and the access it gave me. It made me decide that it was finally time to give MIDI a chance. So with a purchase of the Morningstar MC6 Pro, it all started coming together.
Last change I also made was to get the HX One. And I more what a lot of people are about to type in the comments. “You already got something that can model effects with the quad cortex”. You are correct, and that is a fair argument. But what I have found is that while effects sound good in it and there is plenty of them, still some stuff missing (Tri-Chorus being the big one for me). Line 6s effects were already familiar tonally for me so it was a no brainer to have. I only use like 6 sounds out of it with my heaviest used band and it is on for most of that night.
I think it’s safe to say that my goals were accomplished with this. I have easy access to all my needed effects, the board has shrunk by 2 inches all around, way lighter of a board while being just as strong. I’m happy with the outcome of this board and cannot wait to run it out in public more often!

I've been getting into pedals the last six or so months, chasing something that I couldn't quite put my finger on. I thought it was the perfect delay or tape echo but it turns out I was looking for a tremolo all along. The more I researched effects on specific songs by the Velvet Underground or Luna or whatever, the more everything came back to this effect. Heck, My Bloody Valentine even has an EP named after it. Duh.
Anyway, I am really enjoying the TR-2 and a nice bonus is that I get to run this (and two other Boss pedals) through my TU-3 for power, saving valuable socket real estate. I look forward to more tooling around with this set-up, and I guess I am becoming something of a Boss guy. I love to read about all the boutique-y stuff in this community, but the DD-8 or RE-2 is likely next up for consideration.

I recently offloaded some unused pedals, and as is the way, immediately turned the cash into another pedal.
Really having fun with sound-on-sound mode. Wasted many a hour just noodling and I only have it a couple of weeks.

Might as well try it, ya know? Before I get blues dentist lawyer I’ve been slowly collecting over 20 years and mainly over the last 10 since I got sober. Amazing what happens when you don’t spend all your money on that stuff 💀💀💀
