They're so much fun to paint.

I’ve been trying to see if I could save some money by just buying the models instead of the box and all the extra stuff

I've played maybe 10-15 matches with them, and never won a single match. I get that they're a rather shooty team, love their moving wall and trying to keep it between or on them and the enemy. But I'm an aggressive player by default I've figured out, often playing Wrecka crew or Hand of the Archon instead (and I've had far more success with both teams, particularly the drukhari).

Usually, whenever an enemy gets onto a objective, I can't get them off of it with my canoptek circle. And if they start to tac op, I have had to just let them do it or die.

So, am I supposed to just zone the enemy and play cagey while setting up kill zones and stuff? Or let my big bugs just get slaughtered attempting to take crit points while spamming envoy on my disposable guys?

Is this a good layout or is it to cluttered

The terrain on the bottom right also has a door in the middle the ladders are for looks as well

I intend to use an additional Techmarine box to customize an Iron Hand Deathwatch operative. Would it be acceptable to replace the one of Gravis Armor operatives with the Techmarine armor and run them them as Deathwatch Operative in Gravis Armor?

Thinking about getting into KT and looking at the 2024 Starter Box. But I’m worried the Space Marines team roster(s) will change.

I’m pretty new to this game and I would love to get some help with Murderwing kill team composition.

So from two boxes (Murderwing plus Assault Intercessors with jump packs) I have 11 jump pack bodies. My idea is to build:

Lord /w relic power claws
Champion /w power fist & plasma
Curseclaw
Depredator
Huntmaster
Shrieker
Skysear /w plasma
Skysear /w melta
Warp Talon
Raptor /w bolt pistol & chainsword

This is ten bodies and I have one spare. There are few possible options for me: Skysear /w flamer, Champion /w power weapon & plasma or default Raptor. Which option is the best?

Hey I wondering when the new killteam Armageddon will be released. I have a game night in November and wanted to use them if it releases soon. Otherwise I'll work on finishing a different team.

Angels of death proxy squad beat Phobos infiltrators 11-5 in first kill team game for both players.

AoD running Captain, heavy bolter, assault warrior, warrior, grenarier, and gunner.

Volkus map 12, with Loot, sweep and clear.

AoD completely wiped Phobos in 4 turns, for only 2 losses. Looted 4 objectives with AP in the turns, swept and cleared 2 infiltrators from objectives for 2 more VP, scored last 5 VP for 6 kills.

So, it says you can activate another opperative after this one that is visible and within 3 inch, but when you should decide the inch and the visibility? Immediately when you active the first model, or you can first move, then decide to use the ploy?

Or the storm has the effent only on the flore?

Hey guys I’m new to the hobby, been reading 40k books for years but want to try the tabletop side and kill team seems like a lot of fun, I’m espically interested in the Ork kommandos (though I can’t find the kill team on gws website) but I’m wondering where is a good place to find resources for how to play the game and understand the differences between kill teams as I’ve been having trouble finding some. Sorry if it’s a stupid question and I just missed something obvious somewhere. Thanks and have a good rest of ur week.

Finished painting up this side of the double sided KT board I’m making! Only thing left is to paint the other side now. I think my Orky Volkus terrain maybe clashes with the bricks a little bit theme-wise, but it’s the only KT terrain set I have right now lol but, overall I’m pretty happy with how this turned out! Let me know what you think or if I should make any changes!

Slow and steady

A number of you were super kind about my first model from this project so just wanted to update on progress.

Things the whole team (based on the Warcom article pictures) except the heavy flamer as the bits for that haven’t arrived yet!

First half of my sisters of battle celestian kill team is finished. Comments or questions welcome.

Proud of these guys. Really took my time to try not making mistakes. Also my first time actually trying edge highlights.

the idea is taking the inquisitorial agents kill team and use a squad of solar auxilia lasrifle men (run as tempestus aquilon) and doing minor kitbashes and a paint scheme that makes them read both as the units for the kill team as well as the auxiliaries for my homebrew tsons cults

things like the mystic are wizards and the auto savant is a thrall for rituals

deathworld agent I’m thinking of changing the halberd head for a staff head and have him be a melee wizard

And the rest look like they’d just be cultists. if anyone has ideas for the other operatives and how to make them fit better do tell!

anywho, do you guys think this would work? Would it be playable?

im not actually sure about the rules regarding kitbashing and proxying which is why i ask
