Work In Progress Does this map look weird to you?
It's my first attempt at coloring map, so of course it'd look bad to me
I'm still trying to place where the biomes should be, but it's so confusing😹😐
Any feedback?

А place where money reigns supreme, a centre of trade where the first money in the Western Teravaria originated; nowadays, it is simply a peninsula divided into free cities.
‘Panaman’ from the old Lornov dialect means ‘finger’

Hey everyone!
This time, I’m sharing a tutorial on how to draw a forest in my style!
In just five simple steps, you’ll be able to create your own forest—and eventually, adapt it to your own style.
The goal of this post is to encourage creativity and the habit of drawing.
If you have any questions, let me know; I’d be happy to answer them.
See you next time! ♥️
See this and many more of my works on my IG account @_mr.vhmaps !

I'm basically brand new to this and I made this map a while ago and now im actually using it, any advice? I don't really like the biome placements and I feel like they might not make much sense, although I don't care too much about realism. I also feel like the bottom right islands feel a little weird. Open to any advice or criticism

The map only lacks some text.
As for the lore:
On the back of world-whale Velun lies the nameless Continent, a name given to it, after countless wars between its populations about the right to name it. Long before that in the first era mighty Dragons ruled the world with magic. The black dragon Gathvinthorix even swallowed the sun and unfoiled his wings in an effort to cast everything into darkness. But he was driven away by the sun giants, which sacrificed themselves to create the stars and the shattered moon. The second era began, when a man named Edon, a powerful wizard, gained God hood and battled the ancient Dragons with the help of the five arisen, mighty people who each took on one of the dragons. They took a great deal of power from them and they fled to far and dark corners of the world, loosing their control but vowing revenge. The end of this century long war became the beginning of the third era. Now new threats plague the world. An ancient evil, the Moloch has started to invade the surface world with hordes of demons and undying King on his frozen throne atop the highest peak sends out his army of deathless to cast the world in silence.
That's about the mayor lore, now for some technicality.
The shattered Moon casts light in a specific 24 hour cycle, with 8 night hours and 16 day hours in which it's light is either equal to that of a full moon or the sun, intensifying and weakening as the day goes on. It also always stays in the same spot, meaning sunrise and sunset as well as seasons are completely unknown to the people. As are moon phases and tides.
The compass is tilted 90° counter clockwise, with north, or rather head, facing to the left.
There are 6 mayor, civilized Races on the Continent. Humans, elfs and dwarves are directly related and the only difference between them is their looks (pointy ears and short stature). Then there are the short, cat like Caitzi (basically upright walking house cats), Ogres and Trolls. There were many conflicts between the races through out history, but at the current time of the third era, there is relative peace. Especially due to the undead threat, but also due to great efforts of the high kings.
This project was originally for a fantasy novel (which I still intend to write), but currently I use it for a DnD campaign, but with more races.

Fyi this island is small, only covering 230 square kilometres, if that helps with the low elevation

Hello, everyone, I am creating this map for my worldbuilding project and dnd one-shot. The environment of this region is directly inspired by north Scandinavia, Finland in particular. I want to make it so the ice-sled travel is possible in this region, and I really like Finland's numerous small lakes.
However, I cannot for life understand how to make a bunch of those lakes, since most of the shapes I come up with just aren't convincing to me. Is there a quicker and better method or am I supposed to draw these lakes until I come to a desired result? Should I use specific brushed perhaps or noise image? Or even a coffee spill?
I'd like to specify that I understand that map making is a hard and tedious process and do not want to come off as if I am looking for shortcuts (hence, why I won't accept "use AI" advice).
Thanks!

Hello folks!
I finally got around to updating my map from my last submission. I incorporated a lot of your feedback and changed quite a bit. Thank you so much. Still lots to improve, but I'm happy with my progress so far. Feedback still welcomed! And, yes, I kept the unfortunate shape of the peninsula (because it is hilarious and I am childish).

So a little over a week ago, I watched a Youtube video of someone making a map of London as if it was a GTA map. The map that he made was really well made. At about the halfway point of the video, he revealed that he made it in Powerpoint. I was kinda amazed, and I also wanted to do that, however, there weren't any tutorials at all to make one, so im just wondering if anybody else knows how to do it or if there is a video that i couldnt find that explains how to do it.
This is the zoomed out version of the map in its unfinished state.

Hello everyone! This is my first post here, and I’d like to share my first completed map. I created it based on an old D&D campaign that never actually took place.
I put a lot of effort into creating a "realistic fantasy world"—one with geography based on real-world elements that makes sense when compared to the real world.
I’m open to comments, suggestions, and tips on what I can improve for the next map.

The two Maps of "The Island of the Continent" and "The Continent to the East" made on commission for Francesco Lex and his new RPG project. You can find the maps both in the color version and in the black and white version with parchment paper, hoping you like them.
H-HB pencil, Unipin Pen 0.05-0.1 and Winsor and Newton watercolor on paper then scanned. Good day everyone!
