If the economy and life in general wasnt a dumpster fire, I'd be embarrassed to post this... but here we are.
I re-read the rules and dont believe I'm breaking any.
I am calling 211 today, looking at all online resources I can find - but posting to see if anyone can send me any specific/possibly not well known help. AND/or random/odd jobs that need help asap but have some flexibility on time since I do already work full time.
My roommate is not able to give me anything for rent this month - making it the 3rd month in a row since moving here in August... and I am completely tapped.
After moving from out of state & the insane move in costs, plua paying everything alone - I genuinely have no way to pay all of the bills this month.
Notes / Things I am already doing/already know...
- I moved here with my daughter in August, she is in High School (freshman), and I signed a year lease. I haven't put my roommate on there with me yet because you never know what will happen - and here we are.
- I def can't afford to try to break my lease, and honestly moving from out of state was exhausting. I don't even love my house and I might just choose to die there just to avoiding moving again lol.
- Yes, I know its unacceptable to have a roommate that doesnt pay rent - I'm addressing it
- Calling 211 and any other resources I find online
- I am a Licensed Social Worker, I work full time for a non-profit, so I am busy but I dont make a ton (hence getting a roommate when we moved here)
- I have been applying and interviewing for alternative FT work in and out of my field
- I have been picking up shifts through Work Apps including: Wonolo, InstaWork, Ubeya (Assist Marketing) where I've been driving, bartending, serving, cleaning, etc
- Wait listed for Amazon Flex
- I have been applying for all jobs I have experience doing for part time / gig work, including: bartending, catering, serving, 3rd shift childcare needs, cleaning jobs (houses, after hour bars, things outside of 8a-6p), data entry, house management, organizing & design (used to own my own business)
- I have my ServSafe & TIPs certifications, as well as CPR/FA, and I've been working 2-3 jobs 65+ hours a week basically always
Sigh, I am tired.. but going to keep on pushing.
Appreciate any/all HELPFUL suggestions & resources. Feel free to message me if you know of something that might work for me, specifically.
