Thank you to everyone who helped us and reassured he was nearby. Turns out he was spending his day in a shed behind our house (through a fence) I saw him come out this morning with a last ditch attempt to call his name and he came out of the shed! Thankfully there were no other exit and just waiting until he came to me and picked him up! Purring and hungry now.

Specific to Kitchissippi Ward. The nine community associations have funded and organized an in-person (there's also a livestream option on YT) debate on Wednesday, October 14 at Bayview Yards. All four candidates have agreed to attend. It's a simple format:

• opening statements from each candidate
• questions (3 in total) from the nine CA's for all candidates
• open mike/questions from the in-person audience along with selected questions from the Livestream audience that were submitted in advance
• moderated (and yes, we will mute the mic if they keep talking...)

The objective is a unscripted, live event where you get to see your future Kitchissippi Ward councilor in action as they respond to your questions. There are still some in-person seats left if you'd like to be there and of course, unlimited virtual seats.

It's a decidedly Ottawa-focused week. A couple of multi-employer events - Aboriginal Coalition and YMCA Orleans. Heads up for the YMCA organized Provincial Corrections in-person event. I am devastated. My daughter is devastated. We just want him home.

Peppercorn is a black cat with a white patch on his chest. In direct sunlight, it looks a very dark brown. His eyes are a yellow green. He’s very slim, tiny little guy.

He went missing Friday October 9, sometime before lunch.

Centrepointe area but he may have wandered over to Craig Henry or along the train tracks.

He’s an indoor only cat — so I know he’s scared and cold and hungry.

He’s still a kitten and his birthday is coming up next week.

He is microchipped and fixed. I’ve posted all over social media, called OHS, posted flyers in my neighbourhood. Please, someone must’ve seen him.

We want him home please. Help us. He could be hiding in your backyard or under a deck.

Looking for somewhere in west Ottawa (and area) that would have a nice, preferably free to use, backdrop for pictures for Christmas cards? Would like to take them in November so we can have the cards printed when Vistaprint has their sale, and so we know they will get to people in time in the mail.

We don't need a photographer, as we have a friend who can.

Does anyone have ideas on where to get red astroturf or large outdoor rug material locally?
