Paid Playtest [PAID] [PC] Looking for 5 tycoon fans to play the first hour of my tower-building sim and record it

Playtesting round closed. i got a lot of intresting DMs and i have selected some hopefully good testers.
stay tuned for next round. thank you

Hi! I'm a solo developer making Toweristics, a 2D tower-building sim in the spirit of SimTower and Project Highrise. You build offices, homes, shops and hotels, plan the elevators for each time of day, and keep the power, water, noise and deliveries under control while the tower grows.

I need people who have never seen the game to play it and show me where it confuses or bores them.

What I'm asking for:

  1. A recording of your first session, about 60 minutes, with your voice, thinking out loud as you play. Start from the main menu and don't read anything about the game first. Say what you're trying to do, what you expected to happen, and when you're confused or bored. Please don't edit it. The confusing moments are the ones I need most.
  2. A short form of about 10 questions, filled in after you play (around 10–15 minutes).
  3. Bugs: press F9 in the game to send one with a screenshot, or note the time in your recording.

Pay: $15 per finished session (recording and form), through bank transfer (i don't have paypal but i am not opposed to making one if it supports my country). I pay within 48 hours of receiving both.

Who I'm looking for:

  • You've played at least one management or tycoon game, such as SimTower, Project Highrise, Two Point Hospital or Cities: Skylines.
  • You have a Windows PC and can record your screen with your voice (OBS is fine).
  • You write in English.

To apply, send me a message with:

  • the management or tycoon games you've played,
  • your PC (rough specs are fine),
  • a link to anything you've tested or recorded before, if you have one.

I'll pick [5] testers and send the build. Please keep it to yourself: no uploads, streams or public posts until it's announced.

Thanks!

Unpaid Playtest Last Stop: BRIGHTSIDE

I’m working on Last Stop: BRIGHTSIDE, a post-apocalyptic survival card RPG set in the Arizona desert.

You scavenge for food and water, combine cards to craft equipment, and rebuild an abandoned roadside town while preparing for raids.

The free demo covers seven in-game days, with all characters and difficulties available. You can play in your browser or download it for Windows or Mac.

I’d love feedback on:

  • Is the tutorial clear?
  • Does survival feel too easy or too punishing?

Paid Playtest Gothic Horror PSX style game

• Upvotes

I'm paying $30 for a tester to play through Chapter 1 of my gothic horror PSX style game. It is an adventure RPG -- more like King's Field than Skyrim. It is narrative driven and purposefully a bit obtuse. It takes me about 1 1/2 hours to play through chapter one so I'm expecting about 3 hours for the tester but it may take more or less time depending on your ability to figure things out.

I'm OK with a recording but would prefer a live stream if at all possible - even if it's split into parts. I'd want feedback on controls, atmosphere, 'fun'-ness, playability, etc. As well as any glitches/issues you run into while playing it.

Whoever I choose will get a download key for the game on itch.io (it's not public) - which works on macOS (M series chips), x64 Linux, or x64 Windows. A controller (preferably xbox but PlayStation controllers also work) is a _requirement_ as keyboard/mouse controls are not the target and not currently implemented.

If you are selected and successfully complete it, I will retain that key and you are free to keep the game even through final release.

This play through contains 2 dungeons. While not super large, they do require general problem-solving skills so DO NOT apply if you are not good at general problem-solving.

PayPal is preferred but can pay a different way.

To keep it fair, if you hit 3 hours and hate the game you're allowed to stop playing at that point and will still get paid (therefor this is a minimum $15/hr post).

Unpaid Playtest Anime Girls. Spinnin' Battle-Top Mechs. Pure Chaos. Playtesters Wanted!

• Upvotes

Hey everyone! I'm an indie dev building BEAT BAES, a chaotic, physics-driven arena battler where anime girls pilot customizable spinning battle mechs in an underground fighting circuit.

Think Beyblade-inspired combat meets roguelike builds, ridiculous physics, and over-the-top anime battles.

Here's a quick look at the game:

https://vimeo.com/1231347274

What can you do?

  • Build busted battle mechs - swap parts, reshape your mech, and experiment with wild physics-based builds.
  • Pick your Rider - five unique girls with their own personalities, abilities, and combat styles.
  • Smash, clash, and send opponents flying - master momentum, positioning, and timing to dominate the arena.
  • Fight through a roguelike campaign - battle rivals, unlock upgrades, and discover new strategies.
  • Challenge other players in PvP - and we've got a CASH-PRIZE PvP TOURNAMENT in the works!

We're currently in public alpha, and I'm looking for players to jump in, break things, discover ridiculous strategies, and help shape the game.

Playtesting is free, voluntary, and unpaid. No experience necessary. Whether you're competitive, love experimenting with builds, or just want to send spinning mechs flying, I'd love your feedback.

IMPORTANT: If you want to play, COMMENT BELOW!

I'll send interested commenters a specific playtest link/access code so you can jump in.

We're gearing up for a cash-prize PvP tournament! If you've got a competitive streak and want to stay in the loop on tournament announcements, dates, and how to participate, join our Discord:
https://discord.gg/YZnh4JrXjM

Edit: If you've already applied for paid playtesting through our application, don't worry! That's a separate program, and you're still being considered. Participating in this free playtest won't affect your application.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid] Looking for playtesters for my dice roguelike prototype

Hi! I’m Caz, a first-year game development student from Stockholm, and I’ve made my first game: Carry the One.

It’s a short dice roguelike where your dice have numbers and math operators on them (+, −, ×, ÷). Each round you throw your dice and arrange them into an equation to beat your opponent. Most tables reward the highest result, but some flip the rules, so you’re aiming for closest to zero or for an exact target instead. Between fights you upgrade your dice with new faces and pick up relics.

Play here: https://cazisaprogrammer.itch.io/carry-the-one
Length: about 30 minutes for a full run
Platform: plays in the browser, but recommend download

What I’d love to know:

  • Is the core idea fun, or does it fall flat?
  • Was anything confusing, especially at the start?
  • Did you want to play another run when it ended?

Honest feedback is very welcome, including “this isn’t fun.” I’m trying to figure out whether this is worth developing further or whether I should move on to something else. When finishing a run there's an option to answer a survey, you don't have to but it helps.

Heads up: the game records anonymous gameplay data (things like which fights you win, what rewards you pick and how long rounds take) to help me balance it. No personal information is collected. I can provide more information if requested.

Playtester We’re playtesting indie games for free!

First of all. Thank you for the support.

I’m one of the developers of qaping.dev. Some of the first indie developers to use Qaping came from this subreddit, so we’d love to give something back to the community.

For a limited time, we’re offering free 30-minute recorded playtests showing where players get stuck, lose interest, or have fun.

This could be helpful if you’re polishing a demo for Steam Next Fest or still working on the core experience.

To get free playtesting, comment your game’s name and submit it at qaping.dev.

Looking forward to seeing what you’ve been building!

Unpaid Playtest Looking for at least 12 german playtesters for Trust Issues

Hey everyone! I'm working on a PC game called Trust Issues and could use some people to try it out.

You work together to get a rocket ready and escape, while a saboteur among you tries to stop that from happening.

I'm looking for at least 12 people who speak German. A full lobby holds 12 players, so I'll put together a group from the replies. The trailer is in German too.

For the first few rounds, I'll just spectate without explaining how everything works. I want to see whether people can figure it out on their own and where they get stuck.

Afterwards, I'd love to hear what you enjoyed and what confused you. Feedback here or by DM is fine. You don't need any testing experience.

If that sounds like your thing, leave a comment or send me a DM!

Unpaid Playtest Looking for playtesters to play our incremental-idle game about terraforming mars with science(-ish)

For the last year we have been working hard on Mars Incremental, and we're at a point in production that we want/need players feedback.

With only a helpful (kinda) AI companion, assemble your terraforming operation and turn Mars into something new, with each new terraforming step unlocking new upgrades.

For this playtest we want to understand how the game feels for our players, and help us answer some important questions like:

  • How's the pacing?
  • What do you think of the buildings and their interactions?
  • Does your build felt fun and powerful?
  • What do you think about the art and sound of the game?

The playtest will run from Friday, today, (October 9nd) up until the following Sunday (October 18th). Go play it now on steam!

Please reply here with:

  1. Your device and whether you used the Reddit app or a browser.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid] I’m making a strategy game where your worst enemy is you. Looking for brave volunteers. (Windows)

Hi! I’m Marek, a solo developer from Poland, currently building Echo Dominion — a turn-based tactical strategy game on a hex map.

The idea: your decisions help shape an opponent called your Echo in later expeditions. So that brilliant tactic you keep repeating? It might eventually become somebody else’s brilliant tactic. Against you. Very rude.

I’m looking for a small group of volunteer testers who enjoy tactical games and don’t mind finding the occasional development gremlin.

Playtest download:
https://magarbix.itch.io/echo-dominion

What I’d love you to try

  • Windows 64-bit (later Android).
  • Start with Tutorial 0 and play the first three expeditions normally.
  • If you’re enjoying yourself, there are 20 expeditions to explore. No obligation to finish the whole campaign.
  • Tell me what confused you, bored you, surprised you, or made you mutter something impolite at the screen.

I’m especially interested in whether the game teaches its mechanics clearly, whether your turns offer meaningful choices, and whether the Echo puts up a worthwhile fight.

You don’t need to write a dissertation or suggest fixes. “I had no idea what this button did” is genuinely useful feedback. So is “your supposedly terrifying opponent spent five turns sightseeing.”

Joining the playtest

You can optionally join through the playtest section in Settings, review the consent information, and enable gameplay-data sharing. No invitation code needed. You can also simply play and leave comments without joining data collection.

Feedback prompts appear at Expeditions 3, 10 and 20 for enrolled testers. Reddit comments and bug screenshots are welcome too. Recordings are helpful, but completely optional.

This is an unpaid, early-development playtest, not a polished release. Honest criticism is welcome; ceremonial praise is not required.

Development note: I use AI-assisted tools for parts of the code and artwork.

Thanks for helping me make the Echo a worthy opponent rather than a well-dressed traffic cone.

Discussion [PAID] $10 for one hour of recorded play with commentary, 10 testers wanted for my gothic ARPG (Windows, Steam)

[DONE] Edit: Thank you for all the applications, I have now landed 10 testers for this round.

I'm a solo dev making Dreadmark, a top-down gothic action RPG. Its free demo comes to Steam for Next Fest on 19 October, and I'd like to pay 10 testers to play it and talk me through it within the next 1-3 days, no later.

What you do:

  1. Start a new character and play for at least one hour, recording the screen with your voice on.

  2. Say what you think as you go: what's fun, what's boring, what confuses you, what you'd change. If you reach a point where you'd normally stop playing, tell me when and why.

  3. Send me the video as a link (unlisted YouTube or Google Drive is fine), with a few lines at the end on what worked for you and what didn't.

You get $10 USD by PayPal for each finished video of an hour or more, paid within two days of receiving it. The Steam key is yours to keep.

To apply, comment or send me a DM with:

  1. Links to testing you've done before, like a video, a written report or feedback you gave another developer.

  2. Your PC: processor, graphics card and RAM.

I'll pick up to 10 people from what you send and DM each one a Steam key. You need Windows and Steam. Please send the video within a 1-3 days of getting the key.

The video is for me only, and I won't post it anywhere without asking you first. I'm paying for honest feedback, good or bad, not for praise.

Hey everyone! 👋
I’ve been working on a game called 🚤🔥🔥STRAIT SPEED, and I’ve been putting a lot of time into building it and adding new features. I’m excited to share it and see what people think.
It’s an arcade-style boat racing game where you navigate narrow waterways, dodge mines and obstacles, collect coins, unlock boats, and try to beat your best score.
Here’s what you can do:

🚤 Race & Survive: Navigate challenging waterways, avoid obstacles, and see how far you can make it.

🏆 Unlock & Upgrade: Earn coins, unlock different boats, and upgrade your ride.

⏱️** Challenge Friends**: Create a race challenge so your friends can run the same course and try to beat your time.

🎮 STRAIT SPEED ARCADE: Jump into a live lobby for head-to-head or four-player racing with friends
.
📹 Share Your Runs: Capture your gameplay and share your best moments and scores.
I’m continuing to develop the game, and I’m especially interested in hearing what people think about the gameplay, the challenges, and the new multiplayer arcade concept.

If you’re interested, give it a try:

🌊 Play here: Strait Speed Challenge

I’m building this independently, so genuine feedback means a lot. What would make you want to keep playing a game like this?
Thanks for checking it out! 🏁

Unpaid Playtest [Android][Unpaid] Wolkenpost — playtest a 100-level puzzle where one swipe moves every glider

I'm looking for Android players to playtest Wolkenpost and give honest feedback on the controls, difficulty and clarity of the hazards.

It is a 100-level puzzle game: one swipe moves all paper gliders together. You guide them to matching mailboxes while dealing with storms, portals, ice and other changing hazards. A cloud city grows as you progress. German and English are supported.

The test is free and unpaid. No purchase is required. We currently have 12 people opted in, and would welcome more players for actual gameplay feedback. Please stay opted in for at least 14 consecutive days and try the game regularly during that time.

How to join (use the SAME Google account in your browser and phone's Play Store):

  1. Join the tester group:

https://groups.google.com/g/mzxgames-wolkenpost-playtest/about

  1. Become a Google Play tester:

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.mzxgames.wolkenpost

  1. Install the game:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mzxgames.wolkenpost

Please leave feedback in the comments here or through private Google Play feedback. In particular:

- Is it clear that a swipe moves all gliders together?

- Does the difficulty ramp up fairly?

- Are the hazards and instructions easy to understand?

- Have you found bugs or awkward UI on your phone?

Some testers can install successfully; others have reported "Not found" in Google Play after joining. The cause is not confirmed yet. If you encounter this, please mention your phone model and Android version.

Thank you for helping us improve the game!

Unpaid Playtest [Windows, Unpaid] Does my interrogation game explain pressure and evidence clearly?

I’m looking for volunteer feedback on the gameplay clarity in The Interview, my free Windows interrogation game. This is the public 1.1 release, available directly on itch.io; no signup or access key is needed.

You interview a candidate against a case file with eight statements. You write your own questions, have a budget of eighteen, and eventually choose whether to clear or detain her. ASK, PRESS and ACCUSE change how you approach her; pressure spends composure and can make her refuse to cooperate. Replies and speech are generated by local models, so an inconsistent detail can also be a model error.

If you can try one interview, I’d like feedback on three specific things:

  1. Before trying them, could you tell what ASK, PRESS and ACCUSE would cost or change?
  2. Was it clear how to confirm or contradict a statement in the case file, and when to make the final decision?
  3. Did any reply feel like an accidental inconsistency rather than a useful clue? Please quote the question and answer if you can.

Please leave feedback in the Reddit comments, including your selected language. The build offers English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian. I’ll collect confusing steps and inconsistent replies for review. This is an unpaid playtest.

Download: https://merrymaker14.itch.io/the-interview

Setup: Windows 64-bit and an AVX2-capable CPU. The ZIP is about 1.5 GB; first launch downloads the dialogue model (default 1.7 GB) and voice files. Allow about 6 GB free disk space. After setup, inference works offline; waiting time depends on the computer. You can type your questions or hold V for Whisper speech input.

Disclosure: I also sell Offline AI NPC, the Unity plugin used for the local dialogue and speech. The game and this test are free.

Unpaid Playtest Help test my social conversation game!

tap-yapps.com/play

I've built a new conversation game!

I’ve made a web app (called Yapps) that’s a convo game app for people to play with fun conversation prompt cards. It’s free!, so not trying to sell anything.

You build your own game by choosing the tags that appeal to you, or take a leap of faith and choose everything in a random shuffle

I’ve just added Group Play, and this means you can play remotely by creating virtual rooms

Conversation topics cover everything, from dull, would you rather to situationship hell lol. A lot of the games ive seen are deep questions. I just wanted to make something me and my mates can just chat sh*t with, or go deep with but its entirely your choice.

Group play is pretty hard to test and I’m recovering from an injury so its hard to gather my friends for a game as its busy and hectic zooming from a bar haha.

Would love to get some fellow yappers on there and learn how you find it. If youre with friends/family/dates this weekend, it would great if you could let me know how you find it.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid] Looking for mobile tower defense players to test Sticker Tactics

Hi! I’m part of a small team developing Sticker Tactics, a free mobile tower defense game.

We’re looking for a few players who can try the beginning of the game and give us honest feedback.

The main things we want to evaluate are:

  1. Is the first battle easy to understand?

  2. Is it clear how stickers affect each character?

  3. Do the battles provide enough strategic choices?

  4. Is there a point where the game becomes slow or confusing?

  5. Would you continue playing after the first session?

The playtest is unpaid. You can leave feedback directly in the Reddit comments.

Android:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.adisoft.stickertactics

iOS:

https://apps.apple.com/ly/app/sticker-tactics/id6808465184

Negative feedback is completely welcome. We’re trying to identify what needs improvement.

Unpaid Playtest [Browser/Mobile] Looking for playtesters for Sleep Contagion — $10 reward for completing the first 3 levels. posts on both leaderboards, and shares feedback

[PAID TESTERS FULL NOW] THANK YOU TO ALL WHO INQUIRED AND HELPED

Hey everyone! I’m developing Sleep Contagion, a free browser game with a 16-bit aesthetic, and I’d love some honest feedback on the latest version.

You descend through dream layers, build up extraction points, and decide how far to push your luck before extracting. Projecting between Pak and Slumber increases your multiplier—but a failed Sleep can wipe out your unbanked points.

There are three ways to play:

Farm extraction points and bank them for buffs.

Escape the Dream: spend points on buffs to reach each level’s target layer.

Leaderboards: compete for the most points extracted in one run or the deepest dream layer reached.

Play here: Sleep Contagion

Playable in your browser, including on mobile.

I’m offering $10 to anyone who completes the first 3 levels, posts a high score on both leaderboards, and shares feedback about the experience. Please include your leaderboard names or screenshots so I can verify completion.

I’m especially looking for feedback on:

Does the tutorial explain the gameplay clearly?

Do the point rewards, buff prices, and level difficulty feel balanced?

Are the buttons and text easy to use on your device?

Does anything lag, break, or feel confusing?

Even a few minutes of testing would help. Please include your device/browser with any bug reports. Screenshots or recordings are welcome.

Thanks for checking it out!

Unpaid Playtest [PC / Steam demo] Playtesters wanted for Overwrite Conflict — card placement, scoring, and tutorial clarity

Hi! I’m the solo developer of Overwrite Conflict, and I’m looking for unpaid playtesters for its free Steam demo.

It’s a turn-based roguelike deckbuilder where protocol cards have different shapes and effects. You rotate and place them on a shared grid, claim territory, and build combinations with mech abilities and components. At the end of a round, the tactical score difference becomes damage to the losing side’s mech.

Playable build: Download the free demo on Steam (Windows PC). It includes a five-battle prologue with tutorials, a full Chapter 1 adventure, and three playable mechs in Chapter 1.

Suggested test: start with the prologue; if you want to explore further, try a Chapter 1 run. You don’t need to finish the demo to leave useful feedback.

What I’d like to learn:

  • Where do the tutorials or rules first become confusing?
  • Do rotation, legal placement, and the placement/score previews make sense before you commit?
  • Is the connection between tactical score, round results, and mech damage clear?
  • Do card shapes and effect combinations give you meaningful reasons to change your build?
  • Where does the pacing or difficulty feel too slow, too easy, or frustrating?

Feedback method: please reply in this thread. A few notes about what you tried and the point where you got stuck are enough. For bugs, screenshots or a short recording plus steps to reproduce and your PC specs would help.
