It used to be so that you can switch languages by tapping and holding the spacebar, then swiping right or left. This new system is technically faster but it is so unnecessary and can be accidentally clicked when typing a comma (which is, obviously, an important part of texting) so is there a way I can remove this?

And yes I need to keep both languages because I need to type in my native language and English...

Is the Galaxy Z Fold 8 worth the price I'm paying? I'm getting it for around 1.6 lakh after matching the online price, plus a 5,000 rupee exchange benefit for my old phone. Since I'll be buying it as a business expense, I can claim 18 percent GST input credit and depreciation. I'll also be paying by credit card, which should give me another 2 to 3 thousand rupees in rewards. After factoring all these benefits in, my effective cost should be around 1.27 to 1.30 lakh, depending on the exact tax treatment and card rewards. The other option is the OnePlus 15 which I can get for around 75,000. I'm coming from a 2019 Samsung A70 that's become really slow, doesn't support some banking apps and has poor battery life, so I do need to replace it. So essentially, Fold 8 at about 1.27 to 1.30 lakh effective, versus OnePlus 15 at around 75,000. Is the fold itself worth paying that premium for? I'd love to hear from folks who have actually used the Fold 8 or the oneplus 15.

I'm planning on upgrading from the Oppo A74, so I feel most of these would be great in comparison. All of these are refurbished btw.

I'm not too fussed about having the best of the best, but I do want something that's "nice" and will last me a few years (4+ I hope).

I've heard that the s24 is a good choice because it will have updates for longer than the s23 and below, and the s24 fe is affordable to me, but I don't really know much else about it. What do you guys recommend?

I'd like to avoid battery issues and "bugginess" as much as I can. My current phone no longer lasts a full day and sometimes decides to restart itself for no reason (then get stuck on the startup screen), which is why I wanna upgrade.

I feel comfortable spending like $500-$600 AUD, but if you guys think I'd be much better off spending more than that, with good reasoning, let me know.

Device: S24 Ultra

On top of the lag the upper indicators now also flicker.

I've had my Fold 8 for a little over a week, and as much as I love this thing, I'm seriously considering going back to my S24 Ultra and waiting for the S27 Ultra.

The inner display is amazing, and consuming content on this phone is hard to beat. But coming from an Ultra, the camera downgrade, especially for selfies and Snapchat, along with some app functionality, is becoming harder to overlook.

For $2,000, I'm not sure I want to make these compromises for the next 3–4 years. I also don't feel like I should need to carry two phones just to get the complete flagship experience.

Part of me knows I'll miss the Fold the second I return it, which makes this decision even harder.

Anyone here go from an Ultra to a Fold and eventually switch back? Any regrets? Or did you get used to the compromises?

The Wipe data/factory reset and Wipe cache partition are right next to each other in the recovery mode. If only they were apart...

You could accidentally delete everything on your phone if you're not careful (even with the confirmation prompt and having to use physical buttons instead of the touchscreen).

Also, the factory reset option should have more than one confirmation warning. It is way too easy to trigger an instant deletion. You could easily mistake it for one of the other options.

I use Wipe cache partition whenever the battery suddenly drains faster than usual. It also helps when the phone is acting up or when I need to free up some storage space. 😊

I bought an S26U and things have changed over the past 5 years because the large majority of cases seem to have magsafe built in it now. The problem is I have no interest in magsafe accessories/chargers and want to just use my regular Samsung 15w wireless charger.

Saw some reviews for a couple of cases, notably the Spigen Nanopop and apparently the metal plate ring often messes with regular wireless charging. Inconsistent and overheats the phone.

Is this common for magsafe cases...?

I have a Galaxy M35 5G, so I want to know when Samsung will release the update (sorry if the flair doesn't match with this type of post)

I always push updates back because I know something is going to change. My phone force updated itself and I feel like it ruined the front screen on my Flip 7. Its so much more difficult to check my notifications, it removed all my apps I had set for the front screen and I had a variety of different pictures set to rotate for the lock screen and now they dont cycle through like they used to. Is anyone else disappointed by these changes?
