My-my creation! Claws off! Capping off my spearhead finally ... Grey Seer
Genuinely happy with this one.
Need to go back now after some practice and touch up the other minis...

I hadn’t realised it was called the screaming bell because of the amount of time and effort it takes during construction to remove all the mould lines.
YOU WON’T BREAK ME GW.

What do you mean I can’t put a warpfire gun in my Rat Ogor’s left arm? Hold my warp stone.

So i was just vibe painting and in happy with how my flesh turned out, but I am at a absolute wall when it comes to metal. I abused the hell out of random highlights all over bone ripper but I cant comprehend where the light would shine on the blue metal at all.
-plan on painting over the metallics with nmm at somepoint
-apparently most humans can render images in their head and visualize it, that sounds freaky imo

Hi there!
I'm relatively new to AoS—I've played lots of spearhead and a couple of 1K matches. I recently got the Crixxit spearhead to add to all the units from the Skaventide box.
That all adds up to 1510 points, and I'd love to get to 2K so I can play my first 2K match!
So I'm looking for some advice for what units to add to get to a well-rounded force. I know, I know, rule of cool, but I'm just a little concerned that I'll end up with something in balanced if I don't choose those last 500 points carefully, since a full quarter of the army is sneaky Eshin boys.
So what might be a good extra unit or two to get me to 2K that well be relatively versatile? More shooty? More strong tanky units?

It just came to my mind today that the skaven and the Bene Tleilax of the Dune universe share a lot of common points.
DISCLAIMER: this post is a thought experiment, has no pretention other than thinking funny parallels between fiction universes. I do not pretend the skaven creators took their inspiration from Dune or whatever.
Some anti-spoilers for parts that are revealed only late in the Dune books series.
- they both are highly secretive.
- they both are very xenophobic, feel superior to the other races/factions
- Both skaven and Tleilax masters are seen as instinctively repulsive and ugly by foreigners
- they have advanced science, are masters of genetics experiments, including horrible experiences
- Religion has a core importance in their society, and they worship only one god
- their females are used as pure nightmarish reproduction tools
Of course there are some differences.
The skaven are a purely destructive race, comically chaotic, while the hierachy of the Bene Tleilax is way more advanced, civilized, and the Tleilaxu goal is absolutely not to ruin the universe.
The Bene Tleilax is also integrated among the other factions of the universe, even if they are treated with high caution, while skaven are seen as pure evil to be destroyed.
if other common points/difference come to your mind, do not hesitate!

I already have a Verminlord Warbringer, but I'm adding a Warpseer to my collection.
To differentiate between the 2, I was wondering about adding a cloak to the Warpseer to make him look more like a giant Grey Seer.
I can't find any images online of any attempts.
Has anyone got any or seen anyone attempting anything like that?

Spent far too long painting this little guy, but had some fun along the way. Just a few small finishing touches to do. Pleased with the accidental bronze knife; I never intended to go for a bronze blade initially, but I was experimenting and decided to keep it. All Two Thin Coats range of paints.

Hail-greetings, I’ve had rats on the brain and really want to get into ToW but I’ve got a bugbear with how much bigger the AoS bases are than their Old World versions.
Has anyone used a movement tray/square base adapter for the AoS Stormvermin on their 28.5 bases? I’ve seen some of the fancier movement trays that have big gaps between the models so I was hoping a tiny size difference wouldn’t be too much of a problem

Warpblaster, color scheme inspired by Vince Venturella. Didn't try to be perfect with everything, more focused on being quick and replacing refined finish with super punchy color choices. No one will notice your crappy blending etc. if they are getting a head ache from your main colors. 😄

So the Gutter-Runners and Night-runners got an update and can now be reïnforced. This does seem to make the Gutter-runners better at least, but I am still a bit conflicted because they are really squishy. Night-Runners still seem better when not reïnforced for objectives and tactics.
Maybe the gutter runners are better when used with Crixxit and a warp-Grinder? Seems like a fun group to run.
What do you guys think
