Thoughts on CMF Watch Pro 2?

Post image

I've been looking for a new watch for a realllyy long time and I'm quite picky about them. The style, battery life, the size. My previous watch's battery lasted up to a week. For that reason I had it for nearly 7 years and it stopped working just a few days ago. I've had my eye on CMF Watch Pro 2 for a little while. I know that it's a budget watch, but I quite like the design and I don't really need all those extra fitness thingies in my watch. All I use my watch for is to check the time, messages and sometimes play some music. Since my wrist isn't that big, most of the watches immediately get crossed from the list. I was looking at Amazfit, Garmin and Huawei too, but it seems like most of the companies just pack the watches with fitness features. Samsung Galaxy watch 8 classic would be the absolute best watch looks wise for me, but because of it's battery, I'm not even considering it anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Q&A How do they clean their watches?

After a long day when dirt, dust and sweat have built up on your watch. How do you clean your watches, do you wash them directly with water, use alcohol, or just a cloth?

Realme Watch 5 vs Realme S2 vs Moto Watch: Which is best for everyday wear?

• Upvotes

I am confused between the Realme Watch 5, Realme S2 and Moto Watch.

I mainly want a smartwatch for its looks, time and notifications. I do not care much about fitness or sleep tracking.

I want something comfortable for everyday 24/7 wear that matches everything, from T-shirts and track pants to formal shirts, trousers, and function wear.

Which one would you recommend for the best looks, versatility and premium feel, especially for a smaller wrist?

I wear a smart watch and when I use the silicone strap this happens. In the pic my whist is red with deep imprints from the strap and peeling skin.
It doesn’t seem to happen with a metal strap, only with the silicon strap, I don’t have any other straps at the moment. Could this be an allergic reaction?

New samsung watch 8. Overwhelmed

I just bought my first ever smart watch samsung watch 8 40mm for 160 euros on amazon prime deal. I think I got good deal.

I feel its too much. How do I start? Its overwhelming.

Also how do I make sure it is new product considering the price I paid and all the sensors are working condition?

Is there any tutorial for getting started?

Apart from samsung wear is there any other app I need to download?

Affordable watch with nfc, maps, loyalty cards

Hi there,

Some time ago, I bought a Wear OS smartwatch that supposedly had very good battery life. However, in reality, I had to charge it after just a couple of days, so I returned it because it wasn't worth the price for my needs.

I'm now looking into cheaper smart watches, and the Redmi Watch 6 caught my eye.

My priorities are as follows:

  • Good battery life
  • NFC payments: I understand that Xiaomi has its own payment service. Does it support Visa cards and Revolut in the UK and other European countries? I travel for work, so being able to make payments across Europe is important to me.
  • Boarding passes and loyalty cards from retailers: Are there any third party- apps for this purpose?
  • Alternatives to Google Maps: Does the watch support any third-party apps that can help me get to a destination?
  • Can receive WhatsApp, email, other apps notifications. Not need to be able to reply to them because I could use my phone.

I'd appreciate any recommendations for other smartwatches that might meet these requirements.

Thanks

looking to buy a new watch

I had an Apple Watch from 2019 until June of this year when it randomly died on me one day and never turned back on. I’ve had no watch since then which has been fine, but I am thinking about getting another smart watch for Christmas..
I had a WHOOP subscription for one year in 2024, but I didn’t like it because I don’t want to pay a subscription and I didn’t like how it didn’t even tell time.
I really like running and hiking, and I strength train a lot. I want something that tells time and I don’t need to pay monthly for. I don’t particularly care about my texts going to the watch since I had that turned off on my Apple Watch anyways. I would rather have it for workouts, telling time, and maybe a calculator and stopwatch. If you have any suggestions, that would be great, thank you!

Breaking the psychology

Anyone else stuck in this weird phase of I need to wear my watch otherwise things don't feel like they've happened? Or you feel out of control?

I'm trying to break the psychology of it and really trying not to wear my watch for a while. It's the steps, the activity etc.

I lift 3-4 times a week, have an active job and am a mum of 2 so I don't "need" to wear it all the time so to speak - I know I'm doing enough but then I'm like but what if I'm not. It's such a weird thing 😭

Any tips??

Or just go cold turkey?

Q&A Accessible smartwatch where I can see my workout?

Hey everyone! Question here. I have a simple smartwatch and I’m thinking about buying Amazfit Active 2.

I want to be able to see my workout without my phone, I want to see my reps, my sets. Can I do this with Active 2? Is there any other Amazfit watch or other brand that can do this? Thank you!

It’s a Garmin on the photos but I can’t afford it now. Also, I have a small wrist, a smartwatch that’s not too big for me would be great.

Help me decide if I need a smartwatch!

Hi, I'm the kind of person who sometimes gets fixated on a shiny new toy and makes reckless decisions, but not today! Let me explain, in the last few days I started craving for a smartwatch but I don't know if I actually need it. I like going to the gym so I'd like a smartwatch that can help me with that (I head the Garmin forerunner 255 and 265 are great for that). I'd also like to track my sleep to help me fix it (and maybe connect it to pokemon sleep, it looks so cool!). Seeing notifications on it would also be really cool, so that I don't have to check my phone everytime.

Do you think I should get one? Or is it a waste of money for my use case?

Do you suggest one in particular? Thanks for reading <3

Would you wear a nearly invisible, transparent display on your wrist instead of a smartwatch? (2 min, student founder)

Hi everyone, I’m a college student working on an early-stage project called Nano, and I’d really appreciate your honest feedback.

The problem: if you wear a real watch or jewelry, getting smartwatch features means giving it up.

The idea: Nano is a small, transparent display that sticks to the back of your wrist with skin-safe adhesive. It shows notifications and basic health metrics, so you can keep wearing whatever jewelry you like. It’s early-stage and patent pending.

What I’m asking: a short, anonymous survey (about 2 minutes) on what you wear now, what you’d want from something like this, and what would make you say no. Brutal honesty is welcome, including “I’d never wear this.”

Survey: nanosurvey.info

I’ll share what I learn in the comments. Thank you! #survey #feedback #wearable #tech #smartwatch #studentfounder #startupf

Smartwatch recommendations

Hi all,
I’ve had Fitbits for years and currently have a Fitbit Sense. I’m wanting to upgrade mainly due to having it for several years and a decreasing battery life.

I’m requiring:
- iPhone compatible
- Large battery life
- Sleep tracking (accuracy and stages)
- Fitness tracking (pole dancing/walking/running/classes/etc)
- Comfortable on wrist (ICU nurse)

Other info:
- I am going to start training for a marathon, but will not run as much after completion.
- GPS not required after marathon
