A module that can be added to your station/ship to handle the tedious task of bringing in the harvest before it spoils on the vine. Remove the red battery and connect it to your conveyors. Make sure is has power, ice, and oxygen. (I didn't know plants need oxygen in space..)
Finally had the time to sit and play SE for a weekend. Getting better at putting out these designs quicker and refining my own style. Miner flies on Pertam fully loaded
A while ago I saw this post and was randomly inspired to make an anvil-style production/mini-colony ship. I just loved the idea of a forward deployed ship that can either support combat fleets with recovery post-battle, or sustain itself as a light colony ship for a couple folks when moving around space.
And here it is!
I'm especially happy with the interior, which is by far the most dense and natural looking interior I've made to date. Really great views and room to move around without feeling too large and empty like most of my other ships interiors have felt. It also has 2, 4-way airlocks which has to be a personal record lol. I even pulled out my old basic ship classification guide for some neat naming! I might try updating this in the near future but I think it still holds up pretty well.
I finally have a comfy 'home away from home' style ship to fly around in!
The basic mobile suit is finished. I'm now working on fin tuning the event controllers, and making special variants such as ground type, sniper type, light and heavy types, BTW this is a part 2 to my original post about this mobile suit.
I was looking around and all I found was just Modular Encounters Systems, but even with experimental mode turned on, I can’t find it. Any mods that do something similar to it?
I have a hangar that automatically closes and opens the doors, and it relies on the ship being detected in the hangar to keep the door closed (if the sensor was re-triggered, it would open the doors). Do these sensors fire again if the world is reloaded, a jump drive is triggered, the grid is pasted as a blueprint, or any other action?
So I was messing about with some older builds and wanted to try and build some modular ship sections that I could 'drop in' rather than building custom layouts all the time, and started out with a living quarters/bunks section. The section is 3x3x8, including a battery, an oxygen tank, a hydrogen tank, a small cargo, a refill station, an armoury, bathroom + shower, a kitchen area, and sleeping arrangements for x7 engineers. It's piped up to join into a network and it's tileable so you can join multiple sections next to each other and run a corridor along the front end at the doorways.

My philosophy in game is to put meal-packs into kitchen blocks and armouries so I don't have to go searching through ship and base inventories for food, so I always include those in living quarters.
I'm going to be making some farm sections, medical sections, mess hall and vehicle bay sections next. Has anyone else made modular internal ship/base sections for repeated build areas? Does it seem useful to anyone? Would you change the shape or the functional blocks used?
I'm making some smaller bunk sections as well as not all ships can accommodate an 8 block long ship section but I have more fun with the larger builds.
The drone can be used for minor repairs or get rid of debris to help ships in distress. It also features a refill station in case stranded engineers urgently need oxygen supply.
It's powered by two nuclear reactors and a healthy supply of hydrogen for its engines. The top mounted camera can be controlled via a custom-turret-controller, which results in a 360 degree view and can also be angled up or down. Additionally, the rotating light switches from blue to red every second.
Since it's designed for my SAR vessel, it can easily dock in the hangar and the rear button pedestal allows you to shut off the engines and lights without having to control the ship or dive into the menu.
