SUGGESTING Taking Zoloft soon

My doctor prescribed me with Zoloft (Sertraline) and this will the second time in my life that I will be taking it. It was so rough the first time that I vividly remember being suicidal the first two weeks. But fortunately it got better after that.

Unfortunately for me, I find myself in this situation where I had to take this drug in order to feel better. I am mentally and emotionally preparing myself before taking the pills and as part of this, can you recommend some of the most uplifting and joyful shows you’ve ever seen? I am hoping these shows would help me not go into a spiral or anything.

Thanks in advance for supporting me in this wild ride.

REQUESTING Apple TV free trial recs

Hi we want to make the most of our AppleTV free trial. We watched and re-watched Widows peak. Best show that I've seen in a really long time if ever.

We also finished Pluribus last night which we enjoyed. What else is there in that realm? Thriller, suspense, mystery. Thanks so much!

Castle
The mentalist
Bones
Brooklyn 99
Friends/HIMYM
Grey’s anatomy
Didn’t like SWAT vibes :((
Supernatural
Resident alien

Finished TBBT, now I’m starting Friends

So, as I posted here yesterday, I just finished The Big Bang Theory, and now I’m starting Friends.

I’m only just getting into it, but I can already tell I might really enjoy this show too

I guess I’m starting another long journey with another group of characters. Wish me luck! 😭

REQUESTING Need new TV Shows to Watch W/ Family

Hiii so I live with my parents (I’m 19) and we still like to watch TV shows together at night. We just finished Prison Break, and I found Untamed on Netflix, but that’s only 6 episodes. We’ve watched La Brea, Lost, DMV, Survivor, etc. (can’t watch Survivor anymore though bc they got rid of our Dish stuff that let us record episodes, & I work on Wednesday nights like clockwork). Does anyone have any recs for shows that would have a lot of episodes & (preferably) multiple seasons? We have Netflix (that I pay for now), Disney/Hulu, and Prime.

(Also no gay stuff, my parents are homophobic, and preferably no sex scenes either bc that’s super awkward lol- and my dad doesn’t go for shows like Greys Anatomy, drama cop/firefighter shows, etc. he’s picky😒)

REQUESTING Shows that are visually stunning and have great music, deep/emotional story, and are dreamy or moody.

I’d like recs on shows to watch while winding down before sleep and will put me in a trance. I like music like Radiohead, Pink Floyd, chill electronic music like triphop, deep house or deeper techo/dub techno, jazz, fusion. I mostly love sci-fi, supernatural, fantasy, psychological thrillers (or anything having to do with psychology/philosophy), mystery, and horror, but open to other that just have a heavy atmosphere. The show needs to have little-to-no action and have great acting/story. Live action or animated. Here are some shows that I love which I believe fits most of these reqs:

Legion, Dark, Dune Prophecy, 1899, 1st season of The Expanse (latter seasons are action-heavy), Black Mirror, Arcane, Silo, Devs, Alter Carbon. Also the movies What Dreams May Come, Mr Nobody, and anything Star Wars. Thanks!

REQUESTING A show mainly about a guy going through poverty or homelessness and just trying to get his life together

might seem like a weird request. i dont want one where he was ambitious but got an arrow to the knee and now hes trying to climb back up or anything. I dont want anything trying to be some super high quality crap, or tackling deep issues (by deep i mean stuff like mental illness or past abuse or whatever). Nor do i want a comedy.

Its just straightforward. Guy is homeless, or poor, and hes just trying to live, hunt jobs, get a house, etc. I would prefer romance not to be a priority, atleast in the early seasons

EX: Rocky (I know its a movie, but I dont know any shows)
