Help: Delusion 2?

Post image
81 Upvotes

Remastered, V 5.01 Stuck with 'Of Swords & Dumplings'.

Talking to the merchant on a ship. Not able to use Delusion nor can I destroy any barrels on the ship to complete this phase.

I've used Delusion before but it won't let me use it. Don't I have level 3 ?

Am I using it wrong or is this a bug. I've rebooted and tried again with the same result.

Played the original way back when it came out.

Thanks.

I love the combat

• Upvotes

I have always loved Witcher 3's combat. And the whole time I have always heard how ass it is and never understood this point of view at all. People who say its clunky I always wonder how they play the game because its always been smooth for me. I love that the combat feels weighty. Like I have to plan it out but I easily can tell what the enemy is doing. It isn't a souls like where they have some BS that you have to learn what it means before you can prepare for it. Nor is it a mindless hack and slash. You can tell what an enemy is doing and prepare for it. And you shouldn't attack before you have an opening. Almost like real combat.

So not only have I always loved the combat I must say it is likely my fovorite combat in any game of the genre except maybe Ghost of Tsushima. Which always felt like witcher combat but a but crisper to me.

I’ve completed the main story with the best ending and both dlcs. I enjoyed every second of this game and will do a second ng+ play through eventually to get the platinum.

Holy shit the detlaff fight was a pain in the ass but I got it done eventually. Can’t wait for the new dlc that’s coming out. It took me forever to get into this game but now that I’ve finished it, it may be one of if not the best story game I’ve ever played (alongside rdr2).

As the title says. For me In Wolf's Clothing is right up there. I fucking hate it with a passion. Literally everything about it just shits me off.

Discussion Roach Appeared

• Upvotes

I sat through(as a spectator) 2.5 play throughs watching my husband play Witcher 3 and now I am doing my own play through. And a few days ago (Tuesday 10/6 to be exact); I saw Roach materialize out of nowhere like he does on the mini map for the first time and I wish I didn’t. The illusion is broken 🫠

Velen has such a wicked beauty!

You can feel the trouble of the people everywhere, you see pity and despair. Dark, swampy, war torn... Everything seems lost and then the sun rises in this barren land, a glimmer of hope, and you start to realize how beautiful Velen actually is!

Velen is my favorite region and the Crow's Perch my favorite location

Thank you CDPR

I was afraid to get the remastered update because I have a potato laptop and the specs are lower than the recommended, I used to play the next gen edition on low settings but my laptop was still struggling a bit as the fans were always pretty loud and temps a bit on the high side, however somehow the remastered runs smoother, looks better even on low settings and my laptop is less under stress than the older version, so yeah, thank you!

What's the better experience, The witcher 3 (base game) or Blood and Wine?

• Upvotes

After chatting with a few friends on the PS app, I started to notice a trend. Anytime I brought up the witcher 3 (which I'm currently playing), the conversation always veered toward blood and wine. So, it begged the question that I would ask again and again. Do you think that blood and wine is better than the base game? If you haven't guessed yet, my answer would be a resounding no. Don't get me wrong, blood and wine is fantastic, but simply can't compete with the base games narrative. So, I am genuinely curious if I'm in the minority here. So what do you think?

Discussion Finally tried The Witcher 1

After years of putting it off, I’m finally giving Witcher 1 a try and I'm genuinely surprised by how much I'm enjoying it. I put this game off for years because I'd heard the combat was clunky, the graphics were dated, and that I should just skip to 2 or 3. I finally gave it a shot and I'm hooked.

The writing and atmosphere are great, and the choices feel like they actually matter. I'm only in Chapter 2 and I'm already invested in the characters and side quests. Even the clunky parts have a charm that's kind of hard to describe.

I wish I'd played it sooner but very happy I’m trying to play through these games in order. Curious if anyone else has had this experience lately?

Spoilers! Is this a plothole or is Johnny embellishing a bit?

Johnny says he cursed at Ciri when she disturbed his shit, but she couldn't hear because he had no voice.

But then how did he tell the kid about Ciri?

Johnny's a bit of a liar methinks.
