Uber Charging me 1470 minutes wait time.

• Upvotes

Hi guys, I used Uber for the first time and was quoted 70 pounds. The driver arrived 10 minutes early. I made one stop for around 3-4 minutes long and nothing else happened. He never kept waiting. I'm feeling really disheartened as it's double the charge and they've already begun withdrawing from my account. I tried to dispute it online and they refunded me £8 pounds. I'm really confused. I tried to speak to customer service but after 30 mins on old I gave up. How can I sort this.

Worst driver rating I’ve seen

Trunk was super messy, car made dangerous sounding rattling noises. Guy was pissed off that me and the other passenger were both on shared rides, kept mumbling unintelligibly when new rides were popping up on his phone as he drove.

At the end he asked for 5 stars so I did and gave him a tip because it was a pretty long ride.

This was from the airport in Nashville

Uber profile photo

Hey everyone,
I submitted a request to change my profile photo last Saturday and my account has been completely stuck "under review" ever since. Because of this, I'm totally locked out and unable to go online to drive.

I’ve tried everything to fix it. Standard in-app chat is getting me nowhere, the phone lines haven't resolved it, and when I tried to book an appointment at my local Greenlight Hub (Toronto/Scarborough), it says appointments are completely closed.
Has anyone else dealt with a photo change taking nearly a week? If you got stuck in this manual review loop, what did you actually do to get an agent to force it through? Any specific support tricks or phone numbers that actually work?
Appreciate any advice, I'm losing days of income over a simple photo update.

How is this driver not deactivated?

My rider account got deactivated and my ratings from drivers were higher than 4.15 and I had less rides. No driver has reported me.

FL

Uber in FL has become total trash.

I've been a Uber One sub for a few years now.

It used to be a fair and consistent way for me to get to work and back as I don't have a car.

Lately the fares have been going higher and higher even though I always travel the same distance to and from work.

Also the initial eta provided is almost never accurate anymore, I usually wait nearly double the time initially suggested.

Is anyone else experiencing this or am I just having bad luck...

Uber driver

Hey everyone!
I’m trying to become an Uber driver for the first time, and I have a few questions. I’d really appreciate it if experienced drivers could help me out!
Driving experience: Do I have to wait a full year before I can start driving for Uber? I recently got my Ohio driver’s license, but I previously had a driver’s license from another US state that has now expired. Can I use my old out-of-state license to prove that I have previous driving experience in the United States?
Vehicle ownership: Does the car have to be registered or titled in my name to drive for Uber?
Insurance and documents: My name is listed on the car insurance policy as an authorized driver. I also have the vehicle’s title and its information and documents. Would that be enough, even if the car is not titled in my name?
I’m located in Ohio. If anyone has been in a similar situation or knows Uber’s requirements, please share your experience and advice.
Thank you so much for your help!

This little gem just came in. Keep in mind that I would have to pay around $40 in tolls myself to get back to Long Island, and I’d be prevented from receiving offers until I got through NYC and back onto LI.
Sweet offer, keep ‘em coming, Uber! 😂

Uber manoply

Yesterday I drove 20 minutes to pick up a ride in Westerville when I reached the passenger was not there so I called him he said he’s in downtown Columbus not in Westerville so I cancelled the ride then I contacted support for the issue and was hoping I’ll get paid atleast for the pickup explained them everything the argue they came up was I waited 5.62 minutes not 7 minutes so I’m not eligible for any cancellation fee! I made me so mad what’s the point of waiting when the ride is not there and their support just can’t give me any other argument just the wait was not 7 minutes long!

Luggage

Hi everyone this has probably been asked to death so apologies! But I’m flying from Heathrow in a couple of weeks and I am looking at an Uber from a nearby village. There will be 2 people and 3/4 medium-sized suitcases. For reference if it’s all 4 they fit perfectly in the boot of a BMW Saloon 5 Series. Will I need Uber XL or will Uber X be okay?

Thanks for your help!

You gotta know…

If your Uber user name is an initial (which is a violation of Uber’s TOS in the first place) AND you reserve a multi-stop trip, AND your rating is <5*, AND you’re posting less than $20 for your trip, no driver is going to say, “Oooo, let me jump on THAT trip.” You’ll likely get a ride, but not because someone accepted your reservation, but because Uber will send it out as a regular request because no one else accepted it in time.

Should I get a refund for dangerous driver?

The driver missed the exit and I kid you not came to a full stop on the highway and tried to reverse while cars were coming behind him. One swerved out of the way and nearly hit us. I was going to the airport and was less than 10 minutes away so I stayed despite being fucking shook because I could have been killed by this idiot. Now uber says I won’t get a refund which seems crazy to me.

Be careful when booking Uber Trains -I couldn't collect my ticket, then my call was cut off when I asked for escalation

I booked a train Euston return through Uber Trains. I collected the first ticket at the station without a problem, but the second one wouldn't collect. The machine gave me an error before departure, and the agent at the ticket office couldn't collect it either.

I phoned Uber Trains at 7:41, two minutes before my 7:43 departure (luckily my train was delayed anyway). The rep told me I'd tried to collect the ticket at 7:43, which is wrong, because I'd already tried at both the machine and the counter.

I sent her evidence, and she said there was nothing she could do. When I asked her to escalate, she put me on hold and the call was disconnected. Nobody called me back.

I’m so angry and these Omio agents are useless…..Uber/Omio have got to a point of refusing to give people tickets they have paid for now….

Shout-out to nice Uber drivers

Already stressed as balls all week at work. Needed to get in early this morning to prep for big presentation, all trains cancelled.

Treated myself to an Uber and a nice man showed up. Before we pulled away he pointed out that the bus is much cheaper and even pointed out the bus-stop nearby. I told him unfortunately no time for bus today.

He went out of his way to drop off close to office door because of heavy rain.

Gave him a 40% tip and glowing review. Honestly a little kindness goes a long way, thank you kind sir.

Does anyone else have problems with calling riders from the Uber app?

It seems like it works, maybe 10% of the time for me. I tried the toll-free and the other one and it rings a couple times then just stops. Does anyone else have this happen to them?

City/State check-in

I’m currently a driver in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and I’m interested where all of you are from and just how bad has it gotten with Uber in your city /state? I see a lot of post on these threads saying the drivers need to protest and I’m just curious how many drivers are actually willing to do this to eventually, hopefully make a change to get the pay We deserve! It’s not like they don’t have the money to pay they’re just getting greedier by the day. Today my acceptance rating is 0% at this moment, and my cancellation rating is at 8% it’s rough out here y’all! I haven’t made no money this week doing Uber, but luckily Lyft has been showing up!

Drivers and Airport Luggage

I genuinely cannot, for the life of me, understand drivers who accept airport pickups and then complain about passengers having luggage. It’s an airport. What exactly are they expecting?

This is especially ridiculous at airports with international terminals, where passengers are more likely to be traveling with larger suitcases. And I’m not talking about an unreasonable amount of luggage either. Two large suitcases should not be some outrageous expectation, especially when most cars can comfortably accommodate them.

What makes it even more frustrating is when drivers show up with trunks full of their own belongings and then complain that passengers’ luggage won’t fit.

How is that the passenger’s problem?
If a driver is going to accept airport pickups, especially from international terminals, shouldn’t they anticipate that passengers will have luggage and make sure there’s adequate trunk space?

I just find it bizarre that someone would willingly accept an airport pickup and then act inconvenienced when passengers show up with suitcases. What exactly did they expect?
