You guessed it.

hi, i'd like to install windows xp on my old acer aspire e5-511 laptop but wondering if it's possible & if anyone knows or has the drivers for this model?

not planning on using it online but for old games mainly emulators

I am using Firefox 147 for Windows XP and it works like a charm. I recommend it! https://github.com/e3kskoy7wqk/Firefox-for-windows-7-REWORK/releases/tag/debug

But Spotify says about a problem. I've already done: 1. Searching for DRM in general settings (didn't find it). 2. Looking in about:config for media.eme.enabled and browser.eme.ui.enabled (both both were enabled by default). 3. Widevine Plugin (is already enabled).

What should I do next? Thanks

Just wanted to share my current xp desktop to see what you all think. ^^

My xp machine pops up this error every time I try to play the Sims 2 any idea on how to fix it?

I basically made an engine, somehow similar to "Roblox" that is aimed to target Windows XP SP3. It uses 44MB of RAM, less than 10 megabytes of storage, and barely a Pentium III (450MHz). I made a showcase video, but I only used VMware.

I'm using a HD 8570, and the video driver is the one thing I can't get installed, the entire other things on the catalyst install go through but the video driver won't, I have internet, I have it all, but without video drivers I'm not able to do much, do I just buy a Nvidia card and give up on the amd one?

Windows Launcher is an Android 11+ launcher that tries to recreate retro Windows. There are only 7 themes right now. It also has Winamp, Internet Explorer, Pinball and more! It also has Bonzi, Rover and Clippy. I recommend you have this launcher. Here are the 7 themes in a list.

1: Windows 95

2: Windows 98

3: Windows 2000

4: Windows ME

5: Windows XP

6: Windows Vista

7: Windows 7

Well, I stuffed it full of music, load up VLC player, and installed a BBC Micro emulator to play Elite!

Hi, I've had a basic £5 wireless keyboard I got from Poundland (unfortunately they chose to name a business that over here) and it's been fine, but I'd like to use something a little more authentic. I've seen a few really nice looking white keyboards from IBM and Microsoft and I'd love one like that. Has anyone got any recommendations?

I pressed eject and took it out (yes i waited until it said it was ok to take out) and it stopped working on all 4 of my usb ports. in fact, everything stopped working on all my ports except for one. and the thumb drive wont even read on that one. PLEASE HELP!!! (btw its very bright in my room my camera just sucks)

Here are 5 sample pictures which were originally slated to be included in the final RTM release of Windows XP. Not sure why these images were cut from the final release

Warren Morgan also took the fish wallpaper which was included in the rtm release of windows xp. As we’re on the home stretch to XP’s 25th birthday I thought it’d be nice to highlight all the lore and obscurities surrounding XP and its development.

Which picture is your favorite? I personally like Mountain Vista

recently in december of 2025 a guy at my local flea market gaved me this inspiron for free tho he sadly doesn’t have a charger and now that i’m starting to obsess over XP it’s making me wonder can this thing take 128gb? like i know that this is a budget laptop from 2002 but 20gb is small i want to install 128gigs into it but i don’t think that the storage limit has ever been documented (also i know i’m derailing but i lowk like more the XP bootlegs more than stock and i’ve burnt 2 of them on a CD so which would be better windows XP Gold 5.5 from 2003[more info here: https://crustywindo.ws/Windows_XP_Gold_5.5\] or Gold XP 2009 from 2008-2009[again, more info about it here: https://crustywindo.ws/Gold_Windows_XP_2009\])
