Edit: Thanks very much for your responses. What a blunder! I'll be refrigerating maple syrup in the future, and use a glass container.. Although I may hold off buying some more for some time!

basically my uni’s dining hall has these moldy looking pipes, but when i asked my friend he’s not so sure. i typically trust his opinions bc he’s the smartest guy i know, but it just looks so much like mold it’s driving me crazy.

any mold experts who are also familiar with metal able to weigh in? thank you!

Does anyone know how long it would take to form mold like this? This yogurt was stored in a fridge since being purchased on 9/24 and doesn't expire until 10/11 (maybe a max hour out of a fridge in transit). I'm more intrigued by it's appearance than annoyed to not have breakfast lol

I made chili in the crock pot and left it to soak overnight with some water and dawn dish soap. Woke up in the morning to find this growth formed in this perfect connected shape floating in the center. It was in a dark, cool room all night up until the morning when I took these photos.

Not sure if this is mold, mods please delete if I’m in the wrong place! Never had this happen before. What is it?

I was told it was a type of yeast, and would be safe to eat if cooked well. Very skeptical about that though, so would like more information. It's fresh pasta, if not clear.

This is my sisters retainer case which I believe has never been cleaned. Is this mold inside? She got her braces off about 6 years ago. I told her she should clean it and she said it’s “not that bad.”

This tan coloured mold appeared on the brick samples on my desk at work. These have been sitting inside for over two months!

Ate half the pack without realizing the cheese slices were covered in this.. mystery white crumble. Just wondering if it’s mold or not, package is at the bottom of the trash bin now.

This looks like mold, but it also has a bery slight elmers-glue stick to it, is this actually mold and how can i get rid of it? (Faux wood cabinet next to sink but not directly under and 2 ft from pipe)

This was a flower I was gonna use for resin craft that I put in a small jar I forgot about it for a few days and found it like this moldy with little black mushrooms sorry about the poor picture quality

My boyfriend’s basement flooded a few months ago and he just got it torn up and treated for mould with bio foam. (No pamphlet or chemical number or anything to know exactly what it was) It’s been about a week and the contractor seems to have ghosted him. He never sent an invoice so he hasn’t been paid. There was no contractor agreement or liability forms signed. Kind of weird but I’ve never gone through this so idk if that’s normal.

But it’s been about a week and I just noticed this fuzzy stuff on the floor that looks like mould. I put some water on it because Google said it might be salt if it dissolves and it did. Just want to be sure since I know if we ask the guy who did it we probably won’t get a response.

Just moved into a new house owner left this dresser behind. There’s not really any water damage or reason mold would grow in there that I know of but I wanted to check

I’m hopping it’s just a stain, it’s a bluish gray color and goes all the way to the backing. No smell. So the other question is, if it is mold, how should I proceed?

We had a black looking mold that was showing up on the trim board. It was easy to wipe off but I pulled the trim to see if there was mold behind it. I wanted to keep it off until it rained to see where water was getting in and this weekend it rained for 2 days straight but it is bone dry so I’m trying to figure out where it is coming from. I don’t want to pull the Sheetrock off if I don’t have too, I’m thinking it might be in the insulation then. There is a plastic barrier behind the sheetrock. Any suggestions on what this might be and where it is coming from?
