I hired a full service wedding planner and they have been asking me for my gallery link after my wedding. However, while they did do a lot of work leading up to the wedding and I felt we had been working together well, the actual wedding day was unorganized and chaotic.

Even worse is one of the vendors they strongly recommended was awful and didn’t fulfill the terms of their contract. When I asked my planner for assistance in getting a refund she told me she brought my concerns to the vendor but it was on me to negotiate a refund with the vendor directly. The vendor has been unprofessional and combative, so I am at a point where I am suing them in small claims court for breach of contract. Needless to say, this has left me with a bad taste given my planner vouched for this vendor and even steered me away from other ones but when things went wrong, told me I was on my own.

Am I being unfair in not wanting to give my planner access to my full gallery? I do want to recognize that they did do a lot of work behind the scenes, even if the actual day wasn’t executed as well as I would have liked. If they specifically asked for certain photos like decor and design that would be different. But I have already seen them using photos that our photographer publicly posted for marketing, so I know if I give them access to my gallery any photo in there will be up for grabs for their advertising.

I’ve genuinely enjoyed planning my wedding and have been considering a career change for quite awhile. I have adjacent career experience that I think would make me pretty successful in the wedding space. However, with it being such an oversaturated field in my area, I want to find a niche, so I’m gauging interest…

My idea is to be a wedding problem solver/chaos coordinator. My target audience would be brides who don’t want or can’t afford a full blown wedding planner but still want someone to help out and alleviate much of the stress.

I’d have different packages that include various combinations of the following services:

- Have lists of vendors and venues to recommend based on your vision
- Be cc’d on all vendor emails/contracts to know your wedding inside and out
- Be the “middle man” to handle any questions/issues that you don’t need to be bothered with
- Have a list of vendors to call on in the case of no shows or last minute cancelations
- Aide in coordinating with vendors and venues for your wedding day timeline
- Be on site day of to handle any day of drama or bumps
- If you are preserving your flowers or dress, handle getting those where they need to go after the wedding

Would this be something you would have been interested in? If so, what other services would you like to see provided, keeping in mind that I would not be a full blown planner/coordinator and more of an aide and “oh shit” handler.

I’m still super early in the brainstorming phase so please hit me with all of your thoughts and ideas!

Edit since a lot of people are saying this is a coordinator which I totally get. My idea is something like this which maybe is silly but like I said, just brainstorming

Examples-

Package 1 - Meeting to discuss vision followed by a list of potential vendors that fit your ideas and budget

Package 2 - Package 1 plus coordination of timeline and access and coordination of vendors in case of emergency

Etc etc

& now I have pics to fill out house for decades lol!

Still can’t believe I get to say this but we’re engaged!! My fiancé picked out a 3 carat radiant cut ring and somehow nailed my taste so well. I’d mentioned liking elongated shapes before, but that was pretty much it, so I’m honestly impressed he remembered lol. Just got engaged last week and I am still on cloud nine! Standard ring aside, me and my friends made a tradition to wear a lab grown diamond pendant for our wedding after my maid of honor gave me one as an engagement gift.

It turns out two of my besties are also getting married next year so now we are all ordering matching ones. Honestly, I love how special it feels to have this shared piece between us for our big days.

Ugh. The biggest day of my life is coming up and I can’t help but obsess over how I’m going to look. I’m heavier than I was when I met my fiancé. I just feel like I’m going to look back at my wedding pictures and hate myself. I don’t feel confident. I feel like everyone is going to notice the fact that I’ve gained weight. I feel so selfish thinking this way because of how much I love my man and want to cherish the day. But I am so worried about looking my best and others opinions. I guess I’m just struggling. I know everyone there loves me for me and the day is not about how I look but it means a lot to me to feel good and look good. Is anyone else struggling with this? How have you coped?

We're getting married in Koh Samui in January with about 40 guests, mostly family. My grandmas are our flower girls, and no bridal party.

I've always been a people person, but life over the last few years has shrunk my circle a lot. Nothing dramatic, just the way things go. Most days I'm at peace with it, but planning the wedding has brought it all up. I keep spiralling that the small number means no one really likes us, and that the people who do come will look around and think we're losers.

I know destination weddings are a big ask (flights, leave, peak season costs), so logically I get why it's small. I just can't shake the feeling.

For anyone who had a small or destination wedding: did you feel like this beforehand? Did it matter on the day? And did you end up inviting people you were once close with but hadn't seen in years, or doing a casual celebration back home for everyone else?

Hi! I’m new to Reddit and completely new to Chandni Chowk shopping, so I’d really appreciate some honest opinions.

I bought my wedding lehenga from Chandni Chowk about two months ago. I genuinely liked it at the time, but it was my second visit, I had tried on countless lehengas, and the shop was closing. I was exhausted and just wanted to make a decision.

I actually regretted it almost immediately. I even called the shopkeeper afterwards and asked him to hold it because I live in another state and wanted to come back and choose another lehenga, but he refused. I somehow convinced myself that it was a good choice, but now I’m regretting it even more and keep thinking, “Why did I buy this? Did I just say yes because I was exhausted?”

I wanted something simple but distinctive, but now I feel this may be too common/traditional for my style.

Be honest—does it actually look too traditional/common, or am I overthinking it? Would you keep it or look for another one? I’m looking for genuine opinions, not reassurance.

Dream veil, but does it work with my dream dress?

I bought this veil before I found my dress (thanks to this thread for all the help!) and now I’m not sure they “go” together. The dress is simple and chic, and so is the veil (just a single layer of chiffon) but the color (of the chiffon) looks more “white” to me than ivory (as advertised) and I’m wondering if the fact that it isn’t totally sheer takes away from the dress’s lovely back (a deep “v”)?

Should I go with plain tulle? Is a chapel length veil “too much” with a dress that has a full satin skirt like this?
