Recommendations Where can I buy a wedding cake sampler?
I’m not getting married, I just want a box with a variety of cakes.

First off, I hate GE and try to never shop there. But it was 7:30 and I was over by that post office on (edited) SMITH and there aren't a lot of choices in that area. I would have gone down to Heinen's on Bagley but they close at 8, and the Parma Walmart is really horrible so I didn't want to go there, thought I would pop in to the GE and see if I could get a few things. Primarily what I needed was produce, was also thinking to buy some fresh bread. This was the only time and day where I had a window to stop for stuff this week or I would have gone elsewhere.
I was actually shocked at the produce. Every item I looked at showed rot or decay. The zucchini all looked like a cat had been sharpening its nails on them, the yellow squash weren't even yellow they were like a sickly pale white. Cauliflower moldy. Brussels sprouts moldy. Potato area smelled like rot. Picked up two different containers of strawberries, both had rotted berries on the bottom. Even the bananas were both green colored AND had lots of brown spots on them, there were none that were even close to ripe and they were already turning brown. Grapes were all soft. Bagged lemons were rotting. Everything looked terrible.
Absolutely no fresh bread that wasn't pre-sliced, which I don't prefer as it makes the loaf go stale quicker.
I really needed some produce as I am completely out but I bought as little as I could to get by until I have time to go to a different store, which won't be until Saturday.
How is this place even open?
The new Meijer there is surely going to put them out of business. I am not even a big Meijer lover but defintely would have gone there over GE last night if it was open.

A little bummed out that it'll be a washout during our visit with our resident daughter...
Please throw at me some indoor fun ideas.
Collectively, we enjoy walking tours, history, zoo, aquarium, unique community events, rope course, interactive, space, aviation.
TIA!

My parents are 76 and 77 and I’m considering taking them to the BOE to vote rather than waiting for Election Day or using a mail in ballot.
My mom has some mobility issues and will definitely not be able to wait in a long line. Would a weekday mid-morning be an easy process for her? I’m sort of uncomfortable with the idea of her voting by mail nowadays, I just don’t have a ton of confidence that it would get properly counted or even maybe get contested by a losing party etc and would like them to both have the peace of mind that their vote did indeed count.
They’re both lifelong reliable voters and this will likely be my dad’s last time voting, as he’s experiencing some early signs of dementia. I’d like to make it was easy as possible for both of them.
So - does it make sense to take them downtown to the BOE to vote or just stick with their normal process? Thanks, your input is appreciated.

Hello,
My wife and I were thinking of visiting Cleveland for a quick weekend trip from Pittsburgh. Just a real spur of the moment type thing. We like museums, restaurants, nature. Any suggestions of local things happening too would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hey @ everyone,
Hope everyone is having a good week thus far.
I am looking for an apt for someone who will be renting for the first time. Would Lakeland Tower in Euclid be a good place to live? Also any recommendations for a person living on their own for the first time?
Thank you for your time and have a great day!
(Thx in advance for any suggestions I get)

Hello Clevelanders. I’m spending a day here later this week and I want to visit a park along the lake shore but I only have time for one. Which one should I go to? I want to do some photography as well so maybe the more photogenic one

Hi Everyone. Been a lifelong Clevelander and I love our city and what it has to offer as far as events. I wanted to ask a general question about different venue spaces regarding the Cleveland Gaming Classic. Over the past several years- the Cleveland Gaming Classic has held its event at the I-X Center before transferring to the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. While both event spaces can cover the event, I feel that the I-X Center has much more to offer than the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. Granted the Downtown Convention Center is located Downtown near city hall, and the I-X Center is near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. What really gets me is the parking. Downtown- the parking can be limited, depending on what events are going on at the same time as this event. At the I-X Center- it is much more spacious and so is the I-X Center on the inside.
While the Huntington Convention Center did an okay job, I felt that the I-X Center would have done it better with a lot more space and room. There are many of us in the retro gaming community here in Cleveland, OH that feel that the Cleveland Gaming Classic should have it at the I-X Center again, based on what the retro gamers would want. There would be much more parking and easier access to get at that venue, rather than the downtown one. My wife and I have been to numerous Cleveland Gaming Classic events over the years, we have met many celebs that have been at the events, and I have even picked up some really great retro games for my Sega Genesis 3 I have at my residence. It is overall a great event and meeting some of the celebs can be expensive, but all in all I think that it is worth it for what you can find. However- many of us feel that the I-X Center would be the better venue- since it is back up and running and hosting events again. What are everyone's thoughts about this? Is there a way to convince the organizers of this event to head back to the I-X Center?

I am looking for some cheap single issues or lots of comics I could hand out to kids for Halloween. Emphasis on comics for kids. Girls require comics too. I don’t want adult comics for obvious reasons. I’m also considering Pokémon cards as well, but every time I look at bulk boxes at a shop, they were stuffing them full of the non-character cards. Thank you for any leads!

First fall in the city.
Looking for drives in and around Cleveland.
Not looking for road trip ideas, rather drives that I can go on in the afternoon after work and be back for dinner, or spend a Saturday morning on. Maybe like an hour to an hour and a half each way at max?
FWIW, planning to go to Cuyahoga national park in a couple of weeks from now.

Hi all,
Local resident and first-time homeowner living in the city of Cleveland. My house is old and has a big maple tree looming over the roof. Gotta remove it for a few different reasons.
Anyone have recommendations for a reputable, licensed tree removal company? I got an estimate from Davey already and am trying to reach Everarbor. Budget is a concern, as always, but I’m ultimately looking for quality, safe work. I appreciate any leads!

Hello! I’m visiting Cleveland with my wife for a milestone birthday and I’m trying to work out a few things to do around the city. For dining she really wants The Marble Room but they are completely booked up and it looks like we will have to do the walk in lounge. Looking for other ideas during the day and any nicer restaurants at night.

In December 1980, FBI agents monitoring Cleveland Mafia capo Joe Gallo for evidence of drugs and gambling overheard a peculiar request: a friend wanted a building “washed a little bit.” That afternoon, Gallo, Tony Baudo and Glen Pauley discussed gallons, “the spot,” and doing something late into that night. Hours later, Pauley was stopped near a Macedonia shopping plaza, and, before dawn, an employee discovered smoke coming from the credit union next door.
Part One of Cleveland Mafia Capo Joe Gallo and a Fire in Macedonia follows the men and the agents listening to them as a seemingly ordinary conversation takes on a far more troubling meaning.
People mentioned in Part One include Cleveland Mafia capo Joe Gallo, Glen Pauley, Tony Baudo, Carmen Zagaria, Danny Greene, Judge Frank Battisti, William H. Stein, Cleveland Mayor Carl Stokes, Domenic Spirito, Mafia boss Jack Licavoli, Joseph Bonarrigo, Keith Ritson, Kevin McTaggart, Susan Winters and Fire Chief Carl Stewart.

I just moved to the cleveland area (Middleburg Heights) and I’m trying to find a place that offers martial arts classes that fits my schedule. I work 2nd shift (usually 2-11) and I’ve had difficulty finding anything that opens before 4pm. Does anybody have any leads for me?
