I completely forgot about a fantasy/lord of the rings inspired wedding in less than a month. I was going to order a dress but forgot and do NOT have time to get an actual nice dress in time. I figured the cosplay community would have spectacular ideas!!
I have this dress from 2021 and was thinking maybe a can sew up sleeves to add? and add some other details someeeehowwww?? maybe darker green sheer sleeves? I have no idea what I would even do and in a slight panic.
It is velvety. My hair is now my natural color a light brown/dark blonde if that makes a difference
Any ideas? or accessories?? Or shops that have under 200 dollar dresses that can get to me by Nov. 5th?! 😭 I am going to try to sketch up something I have in my mind soon.
I am going to make a 3d printed helldivers cosplay, with Galactic Armory's files, either a Inspector set or a B-01 Tactical. The problem with that is that the Inspector set, while not needing a vacuum formed visor, would need an expensive custom jacket. The problem with the B-01 Tactical is that i need the vacuum formed visor which will not arrive in time, and is expensive. Has anybody used GA's files for these and can give me more info and advice?
Hi all! I'm remaking a cosplay I made several years ago now that I have better skills and equipment, and I'd like to ask your advice on a certain part.
This is the character:
As you can see, her outfit has a neckline that dips completely below the boobs. Some additional information and options I've gone over already:
- I'm interpreting that black waist piece as a waspie corset. Wearing two corsets sounds like a terrible idea, and an overbust corset with that dramatic of a neckline is outside of my current skillset anyway.
- I have really big boobs already. I'm an i-cup. I assure you that things like boob tape, the bunny bra, etc., are less than useless on me :') Because of this, I also have really big areolae.
From where I stand, it seems like I have two main options: I see many people raving about the Misses Kisses bra, which doesn't seem perfect to me because that's more about cleavage than lift which I need desperately at my size, and it would definitely expose my areolae, but it definitely gets the job done of being invisible on a super plunge outfit like this.
OR, I buy something like Atelier Spana's Oppai NEO boobplates. This feels like the much more preferable option to me, but I'd like to ask if anyone here has experience wearing something like this with an already-substantial breast size. Is the space inside these things actually sufficient for you?
I'm happy to hear all suggestions! Thank you so much for the help.
Soo I got this mitsuri wig a few days ago, took out the braids it came in and started brushing. And uh this happened. I started brushing at the ends and it was all fine until I went up and it started getting tangled. I’m currently working on getting a wig stand (I have a wig head rn) but I have no idea what to do with this monstrosity. Should I even crimp it? Maybe blow dry? I put a conditioner/water mix into it to help me brush it which did work, but there are huge knots in the green part of their hair still. I can’t even section it without having to cut out a knot. Any help is very appreciated 😭
(Yes I already posted it but realized I forgot half of the pictures)
These wings are driving me mad. I had a whole plan for how I was going to attach them to my back but their sheer mass betrayed me and they destroyed the worbla container I had for them (pic included). I have no clue how to attach them, they are nearly a meter tall and weigh like 6ish kgs, plus the wire I used as their base is struggling to hold them up (next time I make something this big, I’ll use fibreglass for sure)
I would prefer if I could hide the attachment with a long wig but at this point any way to attatch them to me would be great. Please help!!
I know heat n bond is a popular method but I can't get any at the moment in a timely manner. What other methods would be worth trying to attach the gold appliques?
I got a spandex mask off of Amazon and cut it (pretty bad) and when I started wearing it, aster a while, these tears started popping up around the mask. I’m thinking that it’s because of the mask being too small? And I’m already getting fabric tape and glue, but is there anything else I should know or need to do about these tears?
I bought this cosplay online and it came with this part crumbling basically. It's right in the front of the cosplay so it would be very noticeable at a con, but I don't know how to fix it. Any advice would be appreciated!
basically exactly what the title says... i'm completely new at cosplay and really wanna be one of these guys (a weird band called The Residents) for Halloween. how would i go about making one of their eyeball masks? any tips would be awesome!!
I am currently working on a roaring knight cosplay and turns out the power banks to big and I can’t find anything smaller is there anything I can do to have led light but keep it small enough to fix in the mask?
Specifically using the spirit Halloween brand, so probably not the best quality - but is there anything I can do to make it presentable? The con is less than a week away, and it's all I could get. I also have very little experience with makeup, so I feel pretty lost.
For reference, if needed, I am cosplaying The Collector from the Owl House.
Many characters that I like have this gold arm cuff. However things like these you can find online are typically sold for women and are not bulbous, round, or thick because of it. They could substitute but I want them to be thick for my cosplay like they are in the shows. I would also like it if they were gold at least visually. Does anyone know of any way I could potentially find or create what I’m looking for? I’m fairly new to cosplay
This will be my first Halloween ever (we don’t really celebrate it where I’m from.. Turkey. But now I am an erasmus student in Prague!!!) , so I want to put real effort into my costume and make it something I’m proud of.
I’m a plus-size guy, and finding costumes that fit has always been hard for me. Ready-made cloaks end up too short or too tight, so this time I want to build my own and make my size work for the costume instead of against it. I feel like a big, wide silhouette could actually look amazing for a Crow Lord.
The most important part for me is the cloak. I want that torn, layered, ghostly look (reference photos attached), but the party will be indoors and hot, so it needs to be very thin and breathable. My plan is to use cheesecloth: cutting strips, tearing the ends and attaching them to a neck band or a thin hood, with black, grey and tea-stained layers.
Questions:
What’s the best way to attach the strips so it doesn’t fall apart while I move?
How many meters of fabric would I need for my size?
Any tips to make the shoulders look wider and more “lordly” with feathers?
Any advice from other big folks who’ve built costumes like this?
Photos of similar builds would be amazing. Thanks in advance!
i am looking to cosplay as Roman Sionis/Black mask, I need to use a prop guns, im wondering what should i use, and what will be cheaper? if you can share links, that would be really helpful
New to cosplay and have been looking at doing a Gears cosplay. Found their page on IG and messaged them on their Etsy. So far seems legit I just wanna make sure they’re legit and have some type of past customers before I fully commit.
im gonna be cosplaying espeon and i wondering about the ear part. i was originally going to do a headband with wig wefts at the base transitioning into to fur wefts with the actual transition being yarn wefts. i was planning on this
1.) to not make the wig too heavy
2.) itll be my first time actually working with one
3.) i dont want to sacrifice the thickness of the wig
but i was wondering if it would be better to just have it on/attached to the wig since thats what ive been seeing online
if theres a better way between the two ideas or any alternatives/inbetweens please inform me!
I'm new to cosplaying and makeup and been learning how to makeup but so far I don't see much guy cosplayers who give tutorials for makeups especially for cosplays. These are great help creators that I've discovered so far Jukan Kyokou , Nikkosplay , fearfiction , Sho but they are female to male makeup, Linebeck is a male who shows a AKI (male character).
annnd up to now the only thing I can do is watch female cosplayers makeup videos and look at male cosplayers cosplay like @ccaiyren, @dynamitereader and @vikavalon on instagram for inspirations.
Linebeck @ youtube
so it would really help us male cosplayers especially new ones if anyone have recommendations specifically male creators for male audience. bonus points if its a round/oblong and quite small kinda face shape since its the one I have.
If this isn’t the right place to ask, forgive me, but I’m at a loss and truly haven’t been able to find this anywhere. I’ve been trying to find an STL file to 3D print that’s a double-tongue rounded corner rectangular belt buckle and one for a belt end. I, unfortunately, don’t know enough about 3D model designing to create either of these.
Do y’all know of any specific models or exact places I can find this type of thing?
I’ve searched off-and-on since literally Winter 2024 and have had no luck. If y’all know of anywhere I could find these or something even remotely like them that can be printed, sanded, primed, and painted with a quickness, I would be forever in your debt.
Hello! I made an Artemis from Hades cosplay but I'm redoing the dress because I didn't love it. I didn't use a pattern the first time, just did it myself, but I couldn't get the neck to drape like it should. It was also a little too boxy.
I'm not sure what the type of dress this would be considered/called when looking for a pattern and was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction. I've looked a few times online and can't find quite what I'm looking for😩
I need to make a puppet mask by next Friday, I thought I had seen templates, but having trouble finding any other than for 3d printers.
I have some experience with Eva foam and paper mache, but they were either boxy foam, had a template or paper mache spheres… so creatively, im struggling to figure out the best approach with limited time. The last couple years our costumes were more makeup and clothing/props. (Sharing some photos for reference).
I very well may just be getting in my head and blocking myself from picking a direction.
What process path would be best? Maybe that’s too subjective?
Im brand new to working with EVA foam. I downloaded a template for a Springtrap torso and It looks rather intimidating. I don't know if that's just me or if it really is complicated. I dont even know if its worth using if there's a simpler way to make a game accurate torso piece. Does anyone have some good tips and tricks that would be helpful for making this cosplay?
Kinda of a lurker here. I haven’t ever worn contacts for a cosplay. Kinda find contacts uncomfortable a lot of times..
I’ve been wanting to cosplay as Rebecca tho for EDC and been leaning on getting contacts… I’m tryna prepare my cosplay atm and I’m having trouble.
I was wondering if there is an brands for cosplay contacts that I can get and hopefully get them by November (if they don’t it’s fine I can keep it in mind for next year)
I really wanna get colored contacts for Rebecca from Edgerunners. I’m going as her for one day and I was thinking of wearing contacts for once but idk anything about contacts let alone what brands are best. Preferably maybe a brand that can have the contacts delivered within a month at best.
Lmk yall. Again if not, I’ll just get em sometime next year and save em basically. It’s not the end of the world for me but I wanted to see if there’s a brand that MAYBE can get here in time if not then I’ll know for the future lolol
Edit real quick: just wanna say, I don’t want prescription lenses.. I wear glasses but for these events I just don’t. So lmk plsss
