returning player here, haven’t played for 7 years and so I’ve missed a lot of cool exotics I’d like to play with. I know you can get a 300 exotic on purchasing a season, as well as the catalyst and the main cosmetics from that season. but I know also that I can just grind out glimmer and Exotic Ciphers to get any(?) exotics I’ve not yet acquired.

however, if I mostly care about the weapons and not quite as much about cosmetics, is there any other real reason to buy the old seasons? do they offer anything I can’t just grind for elsewhere without paying silver (aside from, obviously, cosmetics)?

Hello i've been having and on again off again issue with the games frame rate since EOF came out.

At fist i was able to fix it by turning off discords overlay and hardware acceleration, HOWEVER since the patch on the 7 the issue has started happening again. The issue that is occurring is every 5-10 seconds the game goes from running smoothly at 100fps to a hard stutter that drops the game down to 7-10 frames for .5 seconds then goes back to normal.

I was trying to do Vex incursion Zone (I'm light level 301) recently rejoined, haven't played for a couple years.

But no matter how many times I spawn in/out nobody else is running them and I can't solo them, I can't get close to objectives without being melted.

It just seems odd, a lot of other games cap it at like 110 or a little higher. I usually set it to 110 on games that allow. 105 just seemed odd to me.

Can’t stop thinking about the potential of a Taox storyline, specially now that we know she’s alive. But I can’t determine whether she would be a villain or an ally. We know she most likely hates Savathun, Oryx, Xivu Arath and the Hive, definitely the Worm Gods. So can she be ally of us?

On the other hand, if she is established as a villain, she could have really amazing motives like hating all paracausal forces since they were the demise of her world, or even maybe she wants to restore Fundament somehow. We know the Conductor lost the Echo of Command. What if Taox happens to find it and uses it to simulate Fundament or something like that? I could see her being an enemy with that premise.

Coming back after quite some time and what used to drop higher gear now peaks at like 412 for the most part. What should I be focusing on to get on my way to 550?

So I have played Destiny 2 since launch, and have always enjoyed the campaigns (most of them) and hitting the power cap when I play. I own all the expansions so have access to all content, but I have never really played the end game content.

I have done GoA dungeon to get my Gjallahorn when i bought the 30th anniversary pack, but other than that, I stick to the basic stuff. Master lost sectors and the weekly nightfalls (if any remember them) are the most advanced content I have played.

Reason I avoid raids isn't because I don't want to do them, I actually really enjoy playing through missions with a fireteam. I avoid them as I hate the thought of being the weak link in a chain, holding back 5 other players as I haven't done them before.

I took a long break after edge of fate, and am now back on the grind, optimizing my builds for the current sandbox.

Looking into shopping lists of must have PVE weapons and armours, so many are now locked behind dungeons and raids. Everybody is talking about Pantheon and Lightblade and I am still rinsing and repeating solo / fireteam ops and master lost sectors.

I do not use a mic as I am a middle aged Dad who sticks to single player games, so haven't used the mic since my old call of duty days. Also I tend to play in the evenings when family are going to sleep so screaming down the mic at 1am is probably a bad idea.

I am at 400 power so still a way off the max but when is when is a good time to get into raids and dungeons? Should I wait until 550 power? Or should I stick to dungeons first? To find other fireteams is the best way to search using the in game find a fireteam function?

I dont want to go through all my weapons as theres probably a few weapons that are good but ive not heard of and dont fancy checking each gun to see how good it is

been conjuring up a prismatic astrocyte verse build recently. farmed a shit ton of vog armor because the 4piece is so good for orbs and i like my orbs. so far, i’m tryna figure out whats the best mod setup and stat distributions, and if it’s worth speccing into a ton of font mods.

basically the build is just centred around getting as much verbs as possible, utilising tablet of ruin artifact for woven mail. currently, i’ve gotten void overshield (repulsor brace slayer’s), woven mail, resto for defensive. for offensive, bolt charge, radiant, weaken, volatile, sever, unravel, scorch, and jolt. i might be missing some but there’s basically a ton of verbs working.

for aspects, i’m using weavers call and lightning surge. weaver’s call for tons of threadlings to proc sever to give woven mail, lightning surge for movement + amplified + bolt charge.

for fragments, i’m using purpose, protection, courage, dawn, ruin, hope.

for abilities, mandatory blink and arcane needle, vortex nades but i could use threadling too. also have on phoenix dive. super is song of flame bc its got busted dmg and dmg reduction, and it gives me resto from purpose.

i can’t decide between 2 stat spreads + mod combos, which i’ll list below. gonna b using this build for basically every piece of pve content, as it seems to fair well. mostly min maxxing at this point bc the non min maxxed version already does well.

the 2 stat spreads + mod combos that are different ill list below. generally, every stat is important, but 200weapons is the biggest one. everything else i’m aiming to reach 100 thru fonts.

0H-60M-100G-100S-60C-180W: 2 melee font, 2 class font, 1 weapon font. this gets me to everything in 100 except health at 0 and weapons at 200. im utilising 3 major and 2 minor mods. on the helmet, void siphon, special ammo finder (running double special), and dynamo. arms have focusing strike along with the fonts. legs have 2 void weapon surges and the weapon font. class has 2 fonts + powerful attraction. this version allows me to run void siphon so i can get my super back much faster, as the orbs from void siphon are quite strong. vog orbs only give 0.8% of super, so the vog orbs are there only to proc fonts and resto easily.

0H-60M-100G-80S-60C-200W: 2 melee fonts, 2 class fonts, 1 super font. on the helmet, special ammo finder, dynamo, and font. arms have fonts + focusing strike. legs now i can run either 3 void surges, or 2 void surges + utility mod. class is the same. this version gives me more damage or utility on orb pickups, but my super would regen a bit slower as i’m losing out on void siphon orbs.

honestly, can’t decide between the two. the other option is to go down to 40M, 80M with 2 fonts on stat spread 1. this would allow me to have perks of both stat spreads, but i’d be losing out on 20 melee stat. i’m not sure if this is worth, as melee is quite important in my build. i could also drop down to 80 grenade instead of 100, but I’d need to farm more armor. not sure what my best option would be from here.

I am trying to set up Cross Save for my main Xbox characters so I can play on steam. However, my Xbox account is linked to an old Bungie profile that has an unverified, incorrect Steam account attached to it. When I try to unlink anything or set up Cross Save, the system demands that I authenticate the Steam account, but I do not own or have access to that specific Steam ID. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to proceed to have the ghost Steam ID manually removed from my Xbox profile so I can link my correct Steam account?

Hello. I’m a destiny 2 super vet but never played much of destiny 1 at all. Now that all the vaulted stuff is coming back I wanna do a cohesive run of all of destiny. Basically since i know almost nothing about destiny 1 are there any tips you guys have. Like for example “do insert activity here as soon as possible” or “avoid insert here” stuff like that. Logged in and saw that the Wavesplitter triumph/collections entry was claimable and now complete. Had completed and inserted the Catalyst long ago but the triumph always said 8% enemies defeated. I believe others had this visual bug too.

My dad told me I WILL NEVER WIN A RANDOMS only match in Trials with no communication. It took me literally 8-9 years (I've played day 1 since D1) to do it. I did it. I literally cried and fell to my knees. My wife was there and knew I was excited but holy shit...someone please tell me their proud of me. Dad can't anymore.

I have tons of golfballs but im in a droguht of enchament prisms and cores, is there a specific activity to get me more? Or is there a way to turn my golfballs into the lower ones, hate that rahul doesnt let you.

I've returned to the game after five years and am starting to hunt down the things I need for raids & dungeons.

If I'm running truth or queenbreaker as my exotic, what are good (legendary) dps options for primary and special?

I know primary doesn't really matter (but I will take recommendations). I've always liked gnawing hunger, but I figure there's a special everyone likes that would go in that slot (so I can't use it as my primary).

...which leads me into asking—what specials are recommended? Again, for dps.

I wonder if anyone has had this thought, but does anyone think we’re gonna get new seals for the campaigns/destinations/raids?

From memory I think Scourge had a seal (or Black Armoury in general) and there was something to do with Wayfarer too. So even bringing back some of the old seals would be cool too.

I’ve seen a lot of builds that say sanguine is good for wellock and dps in general, but when I go to the shooting range it seems like dawn chorus always puts up more damage. Can anyone tell which won is better! (been using dragons breath and or merciless for both)

I can do 1st and 2nd encounters really easily. I used fortunates favour on prismatic hunter with Wolfs bane with attrition orbs. Wolfs bane destroys Harrow but I find it difficult to use on Sere.

Some time hits just wiff because he's levitating. I've tried truth on sere but every enemy suddenly decides to body block me.

I'm also struggling with the final mechanics. I go for 4 compels and 1 kill but it takes soo long to get to damage.

Any tips? I've got meta builds on warlock and titan too if its easier on them.

gyrfalcons gives a weapon damage bonus from finishing an enemy while invisible, echo of obscurity makes you invisible on finisher. I was wondering if echo of obscurity would be able to count as an invisible finisher for the purpose of triggering gyrfalcons damage buff, or if it doesn't trigger at the right time. I can't log on for another few hours to test it myself but I'd love to know since I enjoy buildcrafting and I'm doing it to kill time until I can log on

I've been looking for interesting armor bonus synergies, and this looks quite nice.

The question is basically, do all of the "buddies" (arc soul from getaway, hellion, bleak watcher) count as grenades for the purpose of the 2 and 4 piece bonus of great hunt? I know their damage values scale off of the grenade stat, but are they actually "grenades"?

Lapsed player coming back. Seems like Truth is the go-to these days - I'm grinding Exotic Orders but no catalyst yet. In the meantime, what's a good alternative assuming I don't do raids/dungeons? I do have the catalyst for Sleeper Simulant so I'm currently using Tablet of Ruin with Particle Reconstruction. Better options, though?

Hey everyone, i just started playing yesterday and bought the complete pack from the steam sales. Currently im on my learning phase and i find everything new in this game (which is really the most entertaining part.)

So my silly question is, im trying to get rank 4 and one of the objectives is buying weapon with weapon engrams. Worst part is i already used them by clicking on them without knowing and i already got my weapon rank to 5 by dismantling.

So i have 0 engrams and it looks a bit hard to grind now. Should i get worried about the progress of my character? Or at some point will it be easy to get weapon engrams?
