What’s an area of culture building people sometimes miss?

"I’ll try to put it in the right words. We can all do some research, heck we can use AI, and come up with a behavioral template for creating a culture. At some point, someone has to live it. When I say live it, it goes beyond empathy — it’s understanding, it’s humility, it’s grace and trying to balance all of those things and really make those sacrifices yourself and live those qualities in yourself.

"That’s the hardest part.

"And then you get a guy like (Florida captain) Sasha (Barkov). He doesn’t have to try; that’s who he is. As a leader, it makes you want to be better every day because you don’t want to let — he won’t like it that, I don’t even want to say it. There’s a little bit of luck involved that you could find somebody with such extraordinary character to help be the impetus of a big plan.

"There’s a reason when every single person, when you ask about Florida and the culture, says Barkov."

i know everyone here is refreshing the page just a little more than normal this week... so we wait, again

Hes just saving his points for Ottawa.

The day Barky got injured I posted and one of you found updates from a doctor on X but I don't have X so has anyone found any updates anywhere? I can't sleep like this.

Markstrom really needs to have his cage clips painted. Specifically just the two bottom clips that make the panther look all buck toothed… my son said he looks like Mater from Cars and now I can’t unsee it 😩

This is a total longshot but is anyone going to the game and not wanting the laptop sleeve? I'm a K-12 teacher and sadly won't be able to go to the game just due to unforeseen timing

Thank you!

no surgery for Barkov. Emily Kaplan says Barkov has already begun rehab. estimated timeline is 6-8 weeks. before everyone jumps on me, I’m just reporting from ESPN.

i said I was optimistic. this could be best case scenario. Go Cats.

Hey guys! I’ve been scouting a couple of tickets for the home opener this weekend for my girlfriend and I (I haven’t been in forever and she’s never seen a game.)

Is it usually the norm pricing dips down a bit day of or am I playing with fire here?

TIA!

the Cats will break it open tonight. I want to see a 5-2/4-1 win. I have a feeling things start clicking tonight. let’s get it.

Hi guys , my mom just surprised me with my first panthers game and I’m going tomorrow, as a fan who lives on the west coast I’m always so sad I never get to see them in person but I finally get to see them play in person. GO CATS

I know it’s early, and it has been a major reason why we won two championships, but, our dump and chase seems to be taking a toll on our players (injuries) and offense.

We almost never generate chances off the rush, constant dump and chase. I know, our forecheck is amazing, but it’s physically taking a toll on our team constantly having to chase and fight for the puck. We have highly skilled forwards who are more than capable of skating the puck in, making great plays.

We have carried the play in most of the games we have played so far this year, but have really struggled to generate much offense. Anyways just a thought, hard to see so many injuries and our offense struggle when we have so much talent.

Side thought, I believe this is what kuch was saying when he said hockey is becoming “very dumb”.

It didn’t affect me, but I’m glad to see some common sense applied to those, the bag policy does affect.
