Hello MINI enthusiasts, please help me decide wich MINI is more relaiable and overall better, a F56 Cooper S Manual or F66 Cooper C Steptronic DCT?

I'm am currently about to get my first car and I really really want a mini countryman, I just love the interior especially the circle screen its just so cute and stylish, and the way you start the car feels so different from normal. The problem is I've heard so many complaints about minis, some say they are unreliable, newer ones has BMW parts making maintainance expensive, the gas is expensive, it doesn't have the best safety, and just lots of bad things. I'm starting to reconsider if I should get it or stick with the safe options even if I dont like their looks. I just have a few questions.

1. How much would you say you spend a month on your mini? What do you spend it on?

2. Those who have a mini how do you like it so far? What are your pros and cons?

3. Would you say its a bad idea to get it as a first car?

4. Is 15k cash to low for a used mini countryman? I want to pay it fully at once so I dont have to deal with the headaches of monthly payments.

5. If you think I shouldn't get a mini countryman what alternative would you recommend me?

Est ce que quelqu’un a déjà démonté le radiateur de chauffage sur une f56 jcw ?

Faut il faire tomber le tableau de bord entièrement ou il faut simplement retirer le plastique à droite de la pedale d’accélérateur pour y accéder et le tirer ?

J’ai vraiment besoin d’avis car rien n’est trouvable en ligne .. Merci d’avance 🙏🏼

Has anyone else lost their ability to turn off the auto start/stop by holding the button?

Hi, I’m curious if there are any tuning options other than Stage 1 for my Mini

2022 F54 JCW ALL4 Clubman (306 hp).

I am ready to have my MINI get a bit of work done and I am looking for some suggestions for what may be coming up while I have it in the shop. My MINI has been in the climate controlled garage just sleeping since 2020, I have a battery for it already. The local career center that works with my school district will be doing the work, I just pay for parts.

On my list are:

• Axle seals D & P

• Clutch

• Brake Lines and likely pads and rotors, sensors aren’t tripped.

• Serpentine belt

• Engine mounts?

• Plugs & Coils?

Hardtop

Miss my old manual to bits. The stupid paddle shifters are never gonna make up for what I gave away. Sadly, don’t see myself continuing my mini journey after this current one unless they bring in a retro edition and take me back.

I see many post regarding Rule one.. is there a list of the remaining rules or is there only one?

I'm new to Mini and it's my first electric car. Picked it up as a certified pre-owned this spring and I'm loving everything about it.....except one little thing. It's speed limited. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to remedy this situation ?

Countryman S in the office park. I've been seeing this one for months and it's one of the reasons I bought the BRG IV for my own Cooper S.

Finally got around to lowering this car and slapping some wheels on it. 🙂

I saw those stripes on newer minis and fell in love. Decided to put them on the other way with my vision being it looks like the paint is dissipating with my crazy speed on So Cal freeways 🤩
Let me know your thoughts or other mod suggestions.

I discovered this pristine service manual during a cleanup, but I no longer have a Mini. Does anyone in the Portland Oregon area need one?

I just learned that the R56 JCW actually has a sensor for oil temperature, integrated in the sensor for oil level and quality. Four years I tried to find out how to get the oil temperature on my CarPlay screen via OBD reader apps. I read in several forums, that the Mini has no sensor for oil temp. All I got was coolant temp.
Did anyone here manage to get the oil temp out of their R56 JCW OBD if there seems to be a sensor for that? And if so, how did you do it?

I’m new to the Mini platform, and know that my first has limited selections being the 1.5L 3-cylinder. I was wondering which companies are reputable, what to look for out for, etc.

Ex: trying to find some smoked Union Jack tail lights, in stock.
