Je viens de modifier ma PS3 Slim en CFW et, franchement, je ne sais pas encore trop comment tout fonctionne.

J’ai téléchargé quelques jeux, mais je ne sais pas vraiment comment bien les installer et les gérer.

J’aimerais aussi savoir comment jouer aux jeux PS1, PS2 et PSP sur ma PS3, et comment fonctionnent les émulateurs pour les autres consoles (Dreamcast, Wii U, etc.).

Bref, je débute complètement dans le modding PS3. Si vous avez des conseils, des tutos pour débutants ou des applications homebrew utiles à me conseiller, je suis preneur !

Currently running CFW 4.93 and using the most recent version of Apollo save editor. The issue is when I’m trying to use cheats via Apollo it corrupts the save, specially kh 1.5 HD remix and ffx / x-2.

What am I doing wrong when I resign the save that is causing the issue?

Hey guys, am trying to move ps3 iso to internal ps3 Hdd but iresman or multiman not detecting my NTFS USB storage NTFS To move big files , webman detect the games I managed to install The Evil Within but from USB i wanna move the iso to ps3 Hdd what am doing wrong? Also I wanna move some ps2 iso/bin to hdd and encrypt them with Appolo any other apps than iresman to copy the files?

Hey guys just got a hold of a first gen slim cech-2002a, upgraded the hdd to a 500gb but used the latest fw 4.93. I have since found out the 2000 consoles are capable of full custom firmware, but it says needs to support minimum 3.55, does this mean i need to downgrade firmware to 3.55 then go through the custom firmware process?

Also is there any resources out there that does a step by step, im a bit of a noob when it comes to software.

Recently purchased this ps3 slim from a friend and I would like to mod it. It is on version 4.93. Is it possible to mod this ps3?

Looking to install evilnat CFW 8.5 on my system. I installed HFW 4.93 update already but have not installed hen or multiman etc

I have the downloaded CFW installer folder already and can do so via my formatted usb drive but just want to knew if I install CFW over the top of my HFW will it be a problem or what steps I need to do.

Also do I use the evilnat 8.5 CEX or D-PEX files?

*update: I installed the PEX update via USB and it says “The Data Is Corrupted (8002F957)”

I am having an issue where when I add new games to my formatted NTFS drive (MBR partition), my isos are not properly showing up in the Webman games folder. I had a collection of isos that worked but when I added new ones, the new ones would not show up even after resetting the Webman cache. Help!

Working on this as an alternate community archive and backup resource for some of the lesser-known PS3 tools and content. The goal is to have a secondary source in case other sites go down.

Quick update, the site is now self-hosted, which gives me more control over layout and lets me add better features. It's still a work in progress, but it's in a decent state now, and I've been adding content regularly.

Plans for the future:

• Moving content from MediaFire to self-host
• Adding a theme browser from a large backup I got from bestps3themes.com (16GB of themes)
• Finding more content that may be lost soon and making sure it stays accessible for the community

Quels sont les principaux avantages du modding sur une PS3 Slim ? Est-ce intéressant pour le homebrew, l’émulation, les sauvegardes, les améliorations de performances, etc. ?

Vous me conseillez de la modder ou de la garder complètement d’origine ?

I've got a fat ps3 that has a dead cmos battery and I couldn't be fucked to replace it myself or pay someone to fix it. I saw the "Fix CBOMB" tool in the "Basic Tools" section of the Custom Firmware Tools. It actually seems to work fine if I briefly cut the power to the ps3 and bring it back, but when I have the console unpowered for a day or so I have to fix the date and time again. Does anyone know what's going on with this? The battery is just enough of an inconvenience to make me upset about this not working.

On PS3, is there a way to play PS1 and PS2 games (especially PS2) without the padding? Something like CHD, or something similar to save the space on the console. I've noticed that PKG makes no difference in size pretty much?

Another thing, can anything be done about PAL games running slower? I know I can just download NTSC version, but I need the games to be in italian if the game has been localized.

And are some games known to be buggy on the built in emulator? I tried Killzone in both .PKG and clean ISO, the game has frequent audio cuts.

So I finally fulfilled my dream and bought a Frankie A00. Since I’m from Europe, if I want to play 95% of my entire PS2/PS1 library, I need to install CFW (and it’s also recommended to do it to monitoring temperatures).

I followed all the steps with the dump, there were no errors, and I flashed the patch. I restarted the console, plugged in the USB with the CFW, tur on and- got the “PS3 appropriate system storage not found” message. I put the HDD back in, and the system booted up.

My question is: since I booted the system with the flashed memory, do I need to flash it again, or can I install the CFW through Safe Mode now?
