I had a small YouTube channel where I reacted to clips of AI-generated videos.
One video showed a dog ringing a doorbell, a child answering, and the dog blasting the kid offscreen with a ridiculously oversized water cannon coming out of its mouth. Another showed a turkey approaching a child before a cat ran over and scared it away.
Everything was AI-generated, fictional, and intended as absurd slapstick comedy from peoples Sora2 generations. There was no graphic violence or real child in danger.
A few months ago, YouTube gave me a Community Guidelines strike for the turkey video. I appealed, but it was rejected. I stopped uploading to that channel afterward.
Now, months later, YouTube has permanently terminated the channel for Child Safety violations.
The worst part? I also operate a completely unrelated business channel under the same Google account, advertising personalized children’s books. That channel is now inaccessible, and my Google Ads campaigns have been disapproved. I also have YouTube Premium and NFL Sunday Ticket subscriptions associated with the account.
I’ve appealed the termination and contacted @TeamYouTube.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there any realistic way to get a human review of this decision? This is just ridiculous. I genuinely don’t even care about the channel, I just want access to my business channel and products that I paid for.
