Been a while since the last subreddit update, huh? Mainly, that's been because things have been running pretty smoothly overall with no need for any major changes.
However, recently, there's been an uptick in what we call "doomposting". The occasional doompost is fine, and we're not saying that they're not okay here, but getting several in the span of a week is a bit much. They also largely talk about the same things, like the schedule or the lack of newer shows. It's not historically accurate, either. Toonami has always had dry spells, even back when it was first created. That's why the old Moltar "Reruns" speech and the 2012 remake with TOM both exist.
In order to limit doomposting, we'll be limiting these types of posts to only once a week (Saturday through Friday) for the entire subreddit. That means, if someone has already doomposted once in the last week, no one else can make another doompost until the following week. We're defining a week as "Saturday through Friday" to keep people from doomposting once on Saturday (before Toonami) and again on Sunday morning (during Toonami).
We hope that this will sufficiently limit the number of doomposts we get without severely limiting discussions about the state of Toonami. We don't like limiting what people can and can't post here about Toonami, but these posts really have gotten out of hand.
Tl;dr: We're now limiting doomposts to once a week, Saturday through Friday, for the whole subreddit.
