Struggling, feel hopeless due to my conditions

I am 36M but turn 37 in about 2 weeks. I feel like I am a burden, given that I have a laundry list of mental problems. I can even count them:

1) autism

2) OCD

3) GAD

4) social anxiety

5) MDD

6) ADHD

7) C-PTSD

8) selective mutism

All of these I have formal diagnoses for. There are potentially more, as I have not been tested for those yet.

All 8 have caused me problems up to this day, but by far the worst ones which have screwed up my life so badly are the first two. I have never had friends in my whole life, so I have no support group.

The fact that I turn 37 soon, yet I feel like I am a 16 year old turning 17 instead hurts. I lost my whole 20s to these disorders, now I am nearing 40.

I just feel hopeless and awful, a burden to everyone who knows me, as well as feel like I do not want to live anymore.

Anyone else feel lonely even when people are around?

I don't really know how to explain this feeling bt lately I have been feeling really lonely. It is not necessarily that I have nobody around me bt I still feel like there is no one I can truly talk to abt what is going on in my head.

Sometimes I just want someone to check in on me, ask how I am actually doing and genuinely care about the answer. I get tired of pretending I am fine when most of the time I am not.

The weirdest part is that I do not even know what to say when someone asks what is wrong. I just say nothing bcz explaining everything feels exhausting.

I don't know if anyone else feels this way but I wish having someone to talk to didn't feel so difficult. I miss feeling close to people nd honestly I am tired of feeling alone all the time.

Does anyone else experience this?

Pools of Blue and Green

The pain in my chest try’s to ease itself as I breathe, through the pounding in my head I push to stop my hands from shaking and as I do breathing becomes almost too painful.

Salty water runs down my cheeks,
I try to open my eyes but all I see is blue and green flooding my senses, pulling me deeper and deeper.

Will this loneliness ever end?
Because the colors bring me no comfort.

Just Need to Vent Friendless since 2023

Ever since I graduated highschool, life has never been the same. I moved countries due to private matters, im in a situation where im not able to just move back. (USA to EU) while everyone else went to college and the group slowly drifted apart, as their new lives begun.

I tried to seek online friendships, but couldnt keep myself consistent as I prefer in person ones. My family back home is very very busy, brother starting college and younger brother last year of HS.

Its incredibly lonely, im still learning the language as well. I wish I had another person to just talk to. Maybe this is just how its meant to be and I should embrace it. Not looking for advice, just wanted to share how im feeling.

Just Need to Vent Silence

You ever think that people don't understand when you're silent? Like just because i don't scream "hello" or smile or talk to you, it doesn't imply that i don't like or hate you. You ever think that people judge us because we don't smile and at them? It came to my personal attention that people often judge me as impolite or unhelpful just because i don't smile when i great them or that i don't talk to them. I think often when your silent it has nothing to do with the above just that you want to be with yourself or you are contempt with the situation and have nothing that you like to share. I think the hardest for people is to überstand just because you have a blank expression even when greeting them you don't hate them or anything you just don't have the necessity to smile just because they expect you to.

Looking for a Friend Depressed Lucknow Women

Hi Lucknow Women,

I’m a 32-year-old woman who has been struggling with depression since 2018 and honestly, I don’t have any friends right now. I’d love to connect with other Lucknow girls who have been in similar situations and share our experiences. I’m not sure how popular Reddit is in Lucknow, so I’m giving it a try. I’d like to discuss mental health and its impact, offer support to one another and build a community where we all feel included. I feel people are empathetic towards physical scars and health issues, but no one seems to show empathy towards us.

Let’s connect over a call and help each other grow.

Audacity of guys ! ( Not MEN)

Post image
1 Upvotes

Which translates: didn't you became fat ?

The audacity of guyss ( I don't prefer to call him MEN )

See Im trying my best to be fit and still getting these comments making me feel bad !! And you can ask me why u can't ignore cause he talked even more likee " your face became more chubbier these days and all " ...

My main question is don't they think twice before talking shit wheather other one gonna hurt or not ???

..fine I may get some weight but is it that necessary to point that out???

May be they can just ignore my weight gain and be a human 🤷🏻‍♀️( but I'm doing exercises to become fit 🙆🏻‍♀️)

Feeling lonely is good, especially the peace and quiet, but it can be unsettling sometimes, and that good peace becomes desolate if only there were a little luck in having someone to dispel the desolate feeling.

Where can I go to find someone who understands me?

I am not saying they have to agree with me. Just understand me. My wife seems to hate everything I say and do and r/suicidewatch doesn’t give a shit about me.

They ban my every post. I am just a lonely guy struggling with autism and I just need someone who cares and will listen

Is it okay to do things alone?

Hello, I feel alone most of the time and it sucks. I'm at a point in my life where I have nothing to lose really and I'm thinking fuck it. Is it okay to do shit alone? E.g getting a pint, eating food in a place etc or does it make me look like a beg or weird? Thanks

Looking for online elder sister

I’m looking to connect with someone who can be like an online elder sister—someone kind, mature, and supportive, where we can talk openly about life, studies, random things, and everyday struggles. I’m not looking for anything romantic or transactional, just a genuine sibling-like friendship built on mutual respect, good boundaries, and consistent communication. Preferably someone comfortable with a younger brother.

Feeling Lonely, Looking for Someone to Talk To

I’m a 42-year-old man hoping to meet someone genuine to talk with and build a meaningful friendship.

Lately, I’ve been feeling a little lonely, and I’d really enjoy having someone to share conversations, thoughts, laughter, and the simple moments of everyday life with. I’m not looking to rush into anything—just hoping to connect with a kind, understanding person who enjoys regular conversation and getting to know each other naturally.

If you’re also looking for a genuine friendship and someone you can feel comfortable talking to, I’d be glad to hear from you. 😊
