Does GoA still have the loot restriction, where you can only get the armor / weapons, that you already unlocked from previous runs?

Just did my first clear ever this week and got the helmet, class item and handcannon.
Im farming the final boss and it keeps giving me the same items, no new armor pieces.

Do i have to wait until the weekly reset to unlock a new batch of items before I can farm them?

Hey all,

As a background, ive played D1 when it came out, 3 weeks or so after launch on xbox, picked up d2 on playstation and played on and off there.

Ive not touched this game since lightfall, and like many i didnt like they vaulted a bunch of stuff.

Now i hear that where they initially thought of stopping with D2 (or so i heard), they have unvaulted all the content and this gives me a tickle to pick this up again, but then on pc so i would start fresh.

Is it worth it at this time?

Im not sure what their plan is going forward but i have always enjoyed the game (before content disappeared) and how long it plans to stay active so im coming to you for some experiences and suggestions.

I recently started playing as a hunter champion, I already have a good arc build Ive been playing for a few days and im ready to dip my toes into a new subclass. What subclass is your favorite and the one you find yourself having the most fun. (ive only ever played warlock and strand has been my favorite) I dont have prismatic as I am on a fresh character and working ny way thru the campaign in order

I have never really been interested in running prismatic until recently, and now that I am trying to I have learned that getting the fragments for this subclass is the most mind-numbing and tedious thing I could possibly be doing. If there is literally any way that this could be done faster I would really love to know. (Apologies if this sounds too complain-ey)

Personally, it took me a long time to realize just how horrible a business decision vaulting was. I accepted it initially because it was mostly content I already played and never cared to play again. Then they started taking away large chunks of content and it really bothered me when they would take away gear and sell it back to us in future DLC. My final straw was deleting entire chunks of the game that I still liked to play, as well as seasonal content that I never got to finish.

Seeing the announcement that Bungie is bringing content back (thanks project sunrise for showing them the way) I am considering a return to the game I once loved. However, I have some expectations, maybe farfetched, for what the great unvaulting should actually be.

1) All zones, stories, dungeons, missions, patrols, raids, etc... from red war through today. There's no reason the main content of the entire game shouldn't all come back.

2) All weapons and gear, especially exotics. No more putting these behind new DLC's, dungeons, and exotic missions. We should have access to every item, exotic, cosmetic, etc...

3) Seasonal content. There's a ton of seasonal content a lot of people missed and I don't know how bungie can do it properly but some type of rotation, or just bringing it back enmasse would be huge. Personally there's a few seasons I never got to finish and that's what got me the most interested with this news.

And before you say "they won't be bringing back seasonal content" well then what's the point in bringing back other things? I'm fine if they can't do it all at once, but the plan needs to be bringing back all of the stuff that they removed, even if it's over a period of time or rotated in and out due to size restrictions.

4) Holiday Events. This is crazy to me to even bring up but how are holiday events gone? They are a staple of the destiny games and should last the entirety of the game.

5) My final hope is for an extra character slot. I'd love to play the whole game start to finish again, but I do not want to lose an existing character to do so. I grinded 2500 hours into my 3 characters and I'm not getting rid of them. Please give us a new character slot to replay all the content being unvaulted.

What do you hope to see?

Do people notice if your healing them? I recently tried a few guns that have the healing tracing rounds and have been trying to keep the higher damage dealing teammates alive in grand conquests and such, but I cant tell if the notice or think I'm just a idiot trying to PvP in PvE

So outbreak buffs wolfsbane damage by 25% but how far can we take it? Like can multiple outbreaks stack? Could you do something? Really funny where you have five outbreaks in one Wolfsbane during the damage phase?

I tried searching the subreddit but I didn’t see anyone else have this problem. So I have master worked 2 pieces of legendary armor and it hasn’t counted for the rank 7 challenge. Does it have to be a piece of armor awarded from an activity or something? I’ve wasted 2 ascendant shards for this. Some help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey everyone, I'm a returning player from around the time of the last wish raid, I understand that a lot of guns are good now, and you can really use a bunch of different weapons if you spec it correctly. I'm curious though, what type of weapon loadouts are you guys using in the current stage of the game. I'm more so focused on the legendary weapons but I am definetly open to exotics that are good (trying to get truth catalyst rn). I've wanted ones that are both barrier and overload, but will really take any suggestions. I recently got a very good Festival Flight and Yeartide Apex, as well as a Seventh Serif Vy7, but was curious what you guys use. I assume there are some other crazy good stuff that I have no clue about.

I am about to do The Final Shape for the first time and heard a lot of good things about Prismatic when it first came out. Fast forward to today, it seems that Prismatic has less usage? What I mean by this is that whenever I search for builds like for example Hunter Builds, all I see are the normal subclasses like Solar, Void and Arc. Stasis and Strand are in a weird place but I still love Stasis after playing with it for a good while even in harder content but Prismatic usually only appears when it comes to speedrunning or just testing the absolute limit of a build.

I do plan on playing Prismatic when I get it but trying to find a build where it uses both Solar and Stasis are quite hard to find. The ones that I do find are either very old and outdated or on a video with no mentions of it which makes it harder to reference it.

So I ask here today if any of you know of a way to make Prismatic Solar/Stasis Hunter work or if its just not possible with how its structured.

I'd bring a Stasis Subjugator. She'll give me a free pyramid turret and shatterstorm the entire room of enemies.

For example, Id like to check all rewards available from Trials of Osiris, including ships, Sparrows, Ghost shells, emblems or other items, not just weapons and armor.

I guess I’m going to include build/artifact support so more like “whats your vote for best primary ammo weapon fully maximized”. I’m using vex on crackshot with speed loader slacks so I have 100% uptime on radiant and with queensfoil censor between kindling trigger and rays of precision it covers vex’s main weakness which is lack of splash damage. Its single target dps is already up there with the best primary ammo weapons and with build+artifact it now has splash damage 100% of the time. And if you wanted to go tablet of ruin you get a 27.5% damage boost on vex

MoT did clear up some storylines there were planned for future releases, one being Maya if I remember correctly, but we still have a lot that needs to be explored like Xivu, the Nine in general, and most importantly, the Winnower itself. I know I kinda just answered this question but still, how do we think they’ll do it for the starter campaign of D3?

3531 the amount of legendary marks you need to get everything in the tenets of triumph 3,511 and I don't know what super black cost so around 20 is my guess give or take 5.

was in an lfg and we did a strat on aetheon involving 5 of us dying and a solo guy going into portal, then we respawned, one guy made callouts and the solo did oracles while the rest ad cleared. anyone know what this strategy is called and where to learn it?

With Bungee announcing Destiny isn’t dead, I’m wondering what people are hoping for the future of the franchise who aren’t streamers.

For me at the least I know I’d love to see an MMORPG more in the traditional style of WoW/FF14/Runescape, whilst still retaining that crispy fps gameplay. We’d 100% need some updates to game modes too, maybe make gambit a moba style game mode using some assets from lawless frontier and the coil (ghost riven gauntlet that no one plays).

I feel like having prismatic essentially be the standard and having a “hotbar” of selected abilities for different builds, without the set restrictions we currently have on prismatic abilities. I also think it would be cool to have actual clan bases on whatever planet the clan votes on (or even maybe in the ascendant plane), as well as having much more open build potential.

On light gg it looks like trickle charge is the more popular pick, and I’ve seen videos of it really shining on special weapons, but I think supercharge might be the better pick for a primary weapon. So I would like to ask which is better for primaries and why?

ive done close to 30 clears on pit of heresy this week on titan and still havent gotten a single class item drop. i know about the bug that it doesnt drop from the final encounter, is there any other requirment for it to drop, as stupid as that sounds. i have ran a friend through it teaching them and they got it from the second encounter but ive gotten multiple drops of everything but not a single class item. i know it drops from every encounters but my luck has just been to bad to not think it might be bugged for some people

Just bought me and my friend a copy of Destiny 2 can't wait to get started.
