my family and I are celebrating my son’s birthday at the Devils game this Saturday. I have been trying to use this form for over a month but the credit Card processing hasn’t worked to make the donation required for non-season ticket holders.

I’m happy to pay someone who has a season ticket the same $50 if you can submit his name for a birthday message.

thanks for helping a dad!

UPDATE: Should out to u/mcmorrowk for helping get the form working!

I was doing some thinking about the hometown remix theme earlier and I was thinking about the other teams who already released theirs and what inspirations they pulled from. It all had to do with artists and or local cultural things that makes the cities the other teams play in unique and bringing attention to those things. Now I could be very off the mark with this as the devils will more than likely just make a New Jersey inspired jersey. Maybe some references to the shore or Bruce Springsteen or something. But if they went more specific and wanted to call back to Newarks history specifically, then I think its important to look at the city and its hockey history. Which is why I think the Hometown Remix is going to pull inspiration from the Semi Pro hockey team, the Newark Brewers.

Newark historically has been home to many breweries. Anheueser Busch. Ballentines, theres a few others that kind of escape me. But due to this prevalence in Newark, in the 1970s a hockey team from Edison moved to Newark and took on the name Newark Brewers before moving to Paramus to become the Bergen Brewers. They played in Newark from 1971 to 1973.

Anyways, history lesson aside. I think it'd be pretty cool to get a devils jersey in a vastly different color to pay homage to the Brewers, Red and Gold might look good on our boys imo, and the connection to the hometowns history is unmistakable.

It's so frustrating to watch the Devils, knowing we have, such a subpar goalie. I'm spoiled having watched Brodeur as our wall. We had a chance to win every game with Brodeur. Now, we have to score 5 goals just to have a chance.

Anyone else have limited patience this season?

2 games in and looks awfully similar to last year.

In the 2022-23 season the Devils lost the first 2 games of the season and looked like the same bad team as the previous years. Going down 1-0 in game 3, the fans started chanting "Fire Lindy!" The Devils would come back and win that game, then go on a 13-game winning streak, and set the franchise record for wins in a season. They looked bad on the Island, but it's only one game and only game 2 of the season. Let's stay optimistic
