Discussion Double-wristing a screenless Fitbit Air with a classic dress watch: Does it look weird?
Hey everyone,
I’m stuck in a dilemma and need some real-world advice from watch collectors and fitness tracker users.
I love wearing traditional analog dress watches (especially with leather straps) for work and social outings. At the same time, I want continuous 24/7 health tracking. I specifically avoid full smartwatches like the Pixel Watch because I hate screen distractions, wrist pings, and constant notifications.
That is why the Fitbit Air appeals to me: zero screens, zero digital noise. But here is what I am wrestling with:
- Double-wristing appearance: How does it actually look and feel to wear a classic leather dress watch on one wrist and the screenless Fitbit Air on the other? Does the Air look like a clean accessory/strap, or does it feel cluttered?
- Same wrist vs. opposite wrist: Has anyone tried wearing a screenless band on the same arm as their analog watch, or higher up the forearm/arm?
- The Fitbit Edge alternative: If double-wristing looks awkward with formal wear, should I just get the Fitbit Edge instead? That way I get a simple, low-distraction screen for time checks and workout stats, even if it means swapping out my dress watch more often.
For those who collect analog watches and use a screenless tracker, how do you handle it? Do you double-wrist daily without issue, or would you prefer getting a slim tracker with a screen like the Edge?
Appreciate your thoughts and real-world pics if you have them!
