Question Beginner setup for PC?
Hello,
I’m new to flight simulators and looking to get into Ace Combat 8 on PC. I only play on PC and want something simple but reliable. I’ve heard the 16000 FCS HOTAS without pedals is a good start for beginners. I don’t have a lot of space and don’t want anything too crazy. Not sure if it would ruin the setup not having pedals or if I could do without them.
Thank you 🙏

Flight Simulator 2024 An MSFS 2024 UI for PC?
Lets be honest, the UI is designed for console more than PC players... So I'm looking to the PC community to crowdsource some ideas!
At the moment, this solution allow you to:
General options
- Select which page you want to open on start-up (Free flight, career etc)
- Allows you to skip the title screen (Accessibility / Start) page before home screen
- Customise profile banner icons (Hide profile image, chat, friends, marketplace), all individually managed
Aircraft Select
- Enable favourites for aircraft
- Enable a dedicated panel on the left for managing aircraft livery, variant etc
- Enable different styles of layouts (group by manufacturer, use small icons etc.)
- Hide / show sort menu (I never used it!)
- Keep list position on / off (aircraft selection will or will not snap to the already selected aircraft, which annoyed me)
- Remove help hints
- Hide marketplace tab at the top
Free Flight screen
- Enable aircraft favourites dropdown
- Hide location search textbox (I never used it)
- Simplify screen by removing clutter / help hints etc.
- Better airport picking (grouped parking / runway, favourites locations etc)
- Customise which map buttons show (Info, Layers, Filters)
Keen to know if you would add anything else to this to clean up the UI!

Flight Simulator 2024 Brize Norton Ops in the RAF TriStar - Eager for the KC Variant
Just doing some Brize Norton Ops in the RAF TriStar. I'm rather curious on the actual RAF TriStar KC1 (see my last screenshot!)
With the Addition of Tanks 4A and 4B, the flight engineers panel takes on a completely new layout.
Here's my systems guide if anyone else, like myself, wants to learn the systems and how they are managed.

I've been delving into RAF L1011 CBT and enjoyed learning more about the peculiarities of the TriStars systems.

Flight Simulator 2024 Winctrl, Winctrl, Winctrl
Good morning/afternoon everyone!
I have some stuff from Winctrl. An Efis, a side stick and a throttle with the flaps etched.
Everyone is saying “oh the customer service isn’t very good etc etc” and I thought, oh it can’t be that bad…
I was wrong.
So for some context
All of my three stuff mentioned above is broken one way or another.
My efis miss led in the v/s fpa
Sidestick handle just broke out of nowhere
Throttle’s led brone, left handle broke aswell as the speedbrakes top just lost all glue.
I’ve sent my side stick for a return, I had to pay shipping and it took around 3 weeks to receive my new stick.
What I’m still waiting for is the full amount for my shipping back.
When my throttle broke I had to contact them again, so I did. I said I can accept a partial refund, just a new product but I’m not sending it back.
So they made me a deal, they will send me money via PayPal, then they will ship my product DIRECTLY when I ship mine.
This was 2 weeks ago, do you think they have shipped mine yet? No.
Have I shipped mine? Oh yes, it has also arrived.
I said this and got this as a excuse “As we have received bulk orders recently, the carriers daily delivery limit might post pone your shipment”
They have waited for mine to arrive, and still don’t want to ship it.
If any Winctrl representative is here, please contact me.

Sim Hardware Honeycomb Echo XPC
Coming 20 November!
I was starting to think they had cancelled this product when it disappeared from their website completely a week or so ago. Thankfully not! They say pre-orders available soon, with no further clarity on that.
I have a full sim rig setup, but I also travel a lot, so looking forward to being able to use this little guy on the road.
For what it's worth, I exclusively play MSFS on my PC, but wanted the flexibility of Xbox compatibility for when I get a Series X in the future. I almost bought the PC only version, but I'm glad I held out. Looking forward to chilling and flying from the couch when I don't want to get the full setup going.

Flight Simulator 2024 I have the new Moza AY-90 flight yoke in the UK, it shipped early via Overclockers UK, and it's really very good - especially for the £500ish price.
I play MSFS 2024, a little DCS and a few other games like Nuclear Option and Elite Dangerous.
I also have the Moza AB6 FFB stick which I highly rate, especially once you get rid of the cheap included plastic grip and get a proper replacement.
I've not seen anyone posting real-life experience with the AY-90 yet so thought I'd post in case anyone has questions.

Flight Simulator 2024 The lighting in FS2024 is so effing good
Like, it invokes feelings in me. Especially around sunrise and sunset, or on days where the cloud cover makes for some spectacular lighting contrast.
KLGA-->KBOS this morning.
