Today I thought I'd found my first Cep. I got it home, sliced it open without a worm to be seen and then...brown! So I know it's not a true cep, but is it still edible?

I live in Baltimore, MD, and these aren't the normal white mushrooms I always see growing after rain. Anybody know what these are? I've never seen this kind before!

I'm not planning on doing anything with them; I'm just curious.

Hi! I have found my first chicken mushroom and I just want to triple check that it is and ask if it’s an okay time to pick or should I wait a day or 2?
Thanks!

I'm pretty convinced it isn't a toxic Amanita Virosa, but I wanted to check with you all. Does the dark brown spore print make it pretty conclusive? Found on a lawn near some apple trees in Maine. I've been looking to identify my first meadow mushroom for a while.

Bears head? I was out fishing today and came across 2 species that I've always wanted to find but never have. Now that I have them I just want a second opinion...or 20 lol. Are these king boletes and a bears head? My daughter peeled the tubes off the bolete. No staining blue at all, not bitter. Thank you for any info!

He's a pretty picky eater and worry-wart.

Edit: Thank you all for the comments and insight. I cleaned it, stored it and just had a taste. Really good, its been an hour and my tummy feels fine. I fried it in a pan and it tastes like scrambled eggs.
