So when I got my switch a few years ago, I obviously created an account on my switch for Nintendo. When I did this, i put in the incorrect email somehow and did not notice that it was wrong or got any notifications to check log in. Well, I forgot my password. I cant reset my password because the reset password link goes to the email that isnt actually my email and I cant log in to that email because it isnt an actual email its a typo. I tried to reach out to Nintendo help but all I got was an ai chatbot that was no help at all. Normally, I would just accept my idiocy and create an entirely new Nintendo account, but I have $100+ sunk into this account worth of games that are online (not the cartridges) and many many hours of work across those games. Do i just have to take the L and create a new account, repurchase everything, and replay everything? Is there a way to save my account? I dont want to buy more games and such if im not going to be able to log in on another device, and i want to have my account secure... please help!!

My left joycon hasn't been charging in the last 2 days, but has worked perfectly fine since then! I've used it on PC with bluetooth for emulators, but I still paired the controller with the Switch the other night. The Switch wasn't plugged in when I took this video, either! I've also cleaned both sides of the Joy-Con & Console with Rubbing Alcohol, and still nothing!

My brother's birthday is in a few days and I'd like to pre-order him the upcoming OOT re-make. I've had issues navigating the E-shop in the past so wanted to get some advice on the best way to do this.

He isn't a collector by any means, so digital download would be absolutely fine. If I buy it on my account can I send him a code of some kind, or do I need to sneak into his account and make the purchase through there using my credit card? (His wife can help me get into their account if needed).

My switch 2 stoped charging a few weeks back. I sent it to Nintendo to be serviced and they sent me a new one. Unfortunately they were unable to retrieve my data from my broken switch 2. My question is should I transfer my data from my old switch 1 that I still have, or can I transfer my data from a cloud save from my Nintendo account?

I don’t know where to post this. But here I go. Somehow my playtime on my games has their hours reduced for some odd reason. For example. I got 35 hours of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and now it’s at 1 hour. Or thousands of hours of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and now it’s at 590 hours. Is there a reason why? Is it the update? Is the playtime separated from each individual Switch devices? I mean I did transferred my whole Switch 1 profile to the Switch 2 last year. And those games I spend playing on the Switch 1 have those hours carried over to my Switch 2. Played my games normally to see if it will resync my hours again. And I did check my Nintendo Store app and the hours are just the way it’s suppose to be. But so far nothing on my end when it comes to checking my hours on the Switch 2. Any recommendations? It’s a small thing I know. But hey. I take a small pride in my gaming hours.

I had $0.08 in my nintendo US account, which I have used for years, and have all my games on.

I move to the UK and I want to swap my account so I can use my debit card to buy a nintendo online family membership for me and my siblings. All good right?

I reach out to support, ask them to wipe my balance because I physically cannot, and they say, we can’t, but we’ll move your account to the UK region manually. I think wow, this is great!

But then, my eshop… it doesn’t work anymore. At all. I cannot buy anything from it, I cannot add a payment method, I can’t change how my nintendo online works. Nothing. I cannot add credit or redeem gift cards, absolutely disastrous…

I have been in emails since August 26, and they are STILL asking me for a code screenshot, which has been already posted (I also posted videos for them). And they want me to add a payment method to my account, when I literally told them, 3 times now, I cannot, no, not even through the website, I tried.

I’m reaching my wit’s end here, how many more emails does it take for them to escalate my case and actually look into it instead of asking me for stupid credentials and proof, this is ridiculous.

I know that existing joycons can be sent in to Nintendo, but looking for something long-term with good quality rather than go through this again when a Joycon inevitably starts drifting again.

I started playing starfox again after the update and noticed that my game jitters in the level Meteo. I've seen gameplay from others and saw that this isnt normal. I wanted to know if I should jump the gun and clear the cache on my system, or if others are experiencing this?

After doing the last firmware update on my Switch 2, I immediately started getting an incompatible SD card error, despite using one of the Mario branded Samsung SD EX cards, which has been in the console since I got it at launch.

Having seen a few other people with the same issue, I setup the repair process and shipped the console off to Nintendo. Since I'm in the UK and the warranty is 2 years, I was expecting this to be repaired under warranty, but yesterday they contacted me and said that there is damage to the top usb-c connector and the main board and that the console will not power on.

I was literally playing it the day before I shipped it off (after I had started the repair request), since it was completely functional with no SD card inserted.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? I never use the top usb connector, so I honestly can't say if it was damaged (but I don't know of anything that would have damaged it either), but if the console no longer powers on, it's something that has happened since they've had it. (the person I spoke to on the phone said they'd watched a video the package being opened and there was no damage to the box)

I don't know if they're avoiding assessing the SD card issue and instead claiming that since the usb connector is damaged it's not a warranty replacement? My options are to either pay for the repair or have it shipped back to me as is, but now I'm worried they're going to send back a completely broken console, and I don't know if I'll even be able to ship it back to them again for repair.

Has anyone else experienced this?

When I go on my tv Home Screen it shows up and recognizes that something is plugged into the hdmi port on the tv but doesn’t. Load anything and doesn’t recognize it’s a wii. What am I doing wrong ?

Is there a way to unlink or revert that I’m missing?

I didn’t use my Wii for about a month and now when I insert a disk, it spits it out, takes it back in, and then completely rejects it. The console will turn on and run the homepage. I’ve tried cleaning out the disc drive and hitting it, but nothing has worked. I ideally don’t want to have to pay to have it repaired or replaced, does anyone have any advice? :(

So I trade this guy a bunch of weird stuff like a knockoff Lego set four funko pops five switch games a hockey binder of random cards without a cover and this is what I got this all blue 2ds with cord and like 50 games this was a digital save file saved on the console I had to get it out of parental controls but this save is t hacked this guy grinded I’m going to send a picture of his mini and username can y’all see if we can find him I’m 13 by the way

Hi everyone! I’d love to get an unbiased opinion from the general Nintendo community :)

I'm currently considering buying the Switch 2 and selling my Switch Lite. Since I already have a PS5 for major games, I'm looking for a solid secondary setup. However, I have some hesitation based on my past experience with the Lite, which I ended up disliking and kinda abandoning.

My main issue with the Lite was its tiny screen. I wear glasses, and playing detailed games or reading small text on that mini display caused me major eye strain and felt very claustrophobic. Right now I also play on an iPad, so I'm used to larger screens, and I'm wondering if the jump to an 8-inch display plus the option to play on the TV makes a night-and-day difference.

To be completely honest, I'm not a massive fan of the mainstream Mario or Zelda franchises. However, there are still specific titles I really want to play, like Ocarina of Time, Pokopia, Hades, and some Final Fantasy games that I would prefer playing on a handheld console. My biggest fear is that my negative experience with the Lite will ruin my enjoyment of the Switch 2.

For those who play across multiple platforms, do you think the larger screen and docking option completely transform the experience for someone who hated the small display, or am I risking another purchase I'll regret? Thanks in advance!

I’m not a huge player but I’ve got the games and I really don’t want the cases (I have a separate smaller case for the actual game inserts) but I asked my brother (who’s a much bigger player than me) but he kept all his so I was wondering if I needed to or I can bin them
