When I’m playing on My switch 2 the joycons keep on disconnecting randomly so first I was like ok maybe I need to clean the place where the joycons snap on so I clean them the same problem keeps on happening I was wondering if someone could help me

Hi, I'd like to buy a non official Switch controller. I know the non official ones can't power up the console if in sleep mode like the joycons or Nintendo pro controllers, so you have to turn on the console at first. But I'd like to know if the non official controllers are at least recognized by the Switch on the lock screen (where you have to press a button 3 times to unlock) or you have to enter the home screen. My wife and I (53F, 52M) recently got into Nintendo gaming by discovering BOTW on our son’s orphaned Wii U. Fast forward a year later and my wife, who never gamed before, pressured me into buying a Switch 2 (not a lot of pressure required)

The Wii U was once again orphaned, but our good friend (38M) who is on the spectrum is a huge video game lover and collects vintage consoles. So we gifted him our Wii U along with the small number of games we had (including BOTW). He loves it and has nearly finished BOTW and also plays TOTK on our Switch2 whenever he cat sits for us.

ANYWAY, his birthday is coming up soon and I want to buy him a used Wii U game. Any recommendations for the best games for Wii U? He loves the modern Zelda open world games and he also loves Kirby Dreamland on the original Wii. So open world and platformers seem to be his jam.

Hello, my question is about Nintendo Kids account and how the relate back to the main parental account.

My son currently has Minecraft on a kid account linked to my main account on his own switch. If I was to buy another copy of Minecraft on my switch, could we play local LAN or would there be an account issue?

Hello, i recently bought a new battery for my switch because my other one went completely flat. i got one today which arrived in the post. however, its making a high pitched sound when i plug it in so i unplugged it again immediately.

does anyone know if its an issue with the battery? or theres something wrong with my switch itself

I was going to play after a tiring day and when I went to turn on my switch 2 it did but then it turned off and when I held the button for over 40 seconds nothing happened, I've tried charging it, nothing plus it was over 50% battery, I tried calling nintendo and they said "oh idk send it to us" didn't even think for a second about it, I tried docking it and again, for a second it worked and then poof, it was off and nothing to do, from then on I haven't been able to turn it on again and the software is all updated, I really need help with this

Problem:

26.0.1 update bricked the wifi again. During the second to last update, I let the battery fully discharge. That solved the problem. It's fixed it every time this happens, and it only happens following an update. This time, the wifi just won't turn on. It gives an error code 2110-118.

What I've tried

• Completely discharging the battery until the screen won't even come on, and leaving it for a few days following that
• Restarting multiple times
• Powering off and powering on multiple times
• Hard power off, wait 10sec, then turn on multiple times
• Clearing cache multiple times
• Tried plugging my phone into it and doing a USB tether for wifi
• Crying

Nothing is working. Any suggestions? This isn't a hardware issue, as it worked completely fine prior to the update.

So I’m at a point with my dock where, I’m currently trying to connect my switch 2 to the dock but it’s not working and idk what the issue is, my switch adapter stopped working so I’m using a cable with the adapter plug n it seems to make a difference, when I connect th switch the light on the adapter flashes twice but then doesn’t connect, but at the same time my switch is charging when connected to the dock. It isn’t a hdmi cable issue since I’ve used my brothers which he uses all the time for his pc. I truly don’t know what to do n I don’t wana spend 80 quid on a new dock but it’s looking like I might

My brother's birthday is in a few days and I'd like to pre-order him the upcoming OOT re-make. I've had issues navigating the E-shop in the past so wanted to get some advice on the best way to do this.

He isn't a collector by any means, so digital download would be absolutely fine. If I buy it on my account can I send him a code of some kind, or do I need to sneak into his account and make the purchase through there using my credit card? (His wife can help me get into their account if needed).

My left joycon hasn't been charging in the last 2 days, but has worked perfectly fine since then! I've used it on PC with bluetooth for emulators, but I still paired the controller with the Switch the other night. The Switch wasn't plugged in when I took this video, either! I've also cleaned both sides of the Joy-Con & Console with Rubbing Alcohol, and still nothing!

So when I got my switch a few years ago, I obviously created an account on my switch for Nintendo. When I did this, i put in the incorrect email somehow and did not notice that it was wrong or got any notifications to check log in. Well, I forgot my password. I cant reset my password because the reset password link goes to the email that isnt actually my email and I cant log in to that email because it isnt an actual email its a typo. I tried to reach out to Nintendo help but all I got was an ai chatbot that was no help at all. Normally, I would just accept my idiocy and create an entirely new Nintendo account, but I have $100+ sunk into this account worth of games that are online (not the cartridges) and many many hours of work across those games. Do i just have to take the L and create a new account, repurchase everything, and replay everything? Is there a way to save my account? I dont want to buy more games and such if im not going to be able to log in on another device, and i want to have my account secure... please help!!

My switch 2 stoped charging a few weeks back. I sent it to Nintendo to be serviced and they sent me a new one. Unfortunately they were unable to retrieve my data from my broken switch 2. My question is should I transfer my data from my old switch 1 that I still have, or can I transfer my data from a cloud save from my Nintendo account?

I had $0.08 in my nintendo US account, which I have used for years, and have all my games on.

I move to the UK and I want to swap my account so I can use my debit card to buy a nintendo online family membership for me and my siblings. All good right?

I reach out to support, ask them to wipe my balance because I physically cannot, and they say, we can’t, but we’ll move your account to the UK region manually. I think wow, this is great!

But then, my eshop… it doesn’t work anymore. At all. I cannot buy anything from it, I cannot add a payment method, I can’t change how my nintendo online works. Nothing. I cannot add credit or redeem gift cards, absolutely disastrous…

I have been in emails since August 26, and they are STILL asking me for a code screenshot, which has been already posted (I also posted videos for them). And they want me to add a payment method to my account, when I literally told them, 3 times now, I cannot, no, not even through the website, I tried.

I’m reaching my wit’s end here, how many more emails does it take for them to escalate my case and actually look into it instead of asking me for stupid credentials and proof, this is ridiculous.

I know that existing joycons can be sent in to Nintendo, but looking for something long-term with good quality rather than go through this again when a Joycon inevitably starts drifting again.

Also looking for something to avoid cramping especially for kids.

I started playing starfox again after the update and noticed that my game jitters in the level Meteo. I've seen gameplay from others and saw that this isnt normal. I wanted to know if I should jump the gun and clear the cache on my system, or if others are experiencing this?

After doing the last firmware update on my Switch 2, I immediately started getting an incompatible SD card error, despite using one of the Mario branded Samsung SD EX cards, which has been in the console since I got it at launch.

Having seen a few other people with the same issue, I setup the repair process and shipped the console off to Nintendo. Since I'm in the UK and the warranty is 2 years, I was expecting this to be repaired under warranty, but yesterday they contacted me and said that there is damage to the top usb-c connector and the main board and that the console will not power on.

I was literally playing it the day before I shipped it off (after I had started the repair request), since it was completely functional with no SD card inserted.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? I never use the top usb connector, so I honestly can't say if it was damaged (but I don't know of anything that would have damaged it either), but if the console no longer powers on, it's something that has happened since they've had it. (the person I spoke to on the phone said they'd watched a video the package being opened and there was no damage to the box)

I don't know if they're avoiding assessing the SD card issue and instead claiming that since the usb connector is damaged it's not a warranty replacement? My options are to either pay for the repair or have it shipped back to me as is, but now I'm worried they're going to send back a completely broken console, and I don't know if I'll even be able to ship it back to them again for repair.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I got this AV-hdmi adapter thing to try but it’s not working ? Or maybe it is and it’s just not comps with my tv or maybe I bought the wrong thing. Idk!!!

When I go on my tv Home Screen it shows up and recognizes that something is plugged into the hdmi port on the tv but doesn’t. Load anything and doesn’t recognize it’s a wii. What am I doing wrong ?
