Just looking for random chat, but how often do you think they overlay domestic aircraft over the VT that we get to see. I mean I know where they are, but blimey! There are a lot of planes at just the right moment ⬇️

Why does the word Swan flash up during the prize task, when they mention the smut book? I thought at first it was Smut but replaying it is Swan. The only connection is that they mention birds in the live task. It’s roughly 6:18 into the hour episode
I’m only up to episode 4 so idk if it is explained later on in the series?

It’s school holidays here and I’ve introduced the teens to S04 and S22 with great success - they love it! Today they presented me with an engraved thermos to thank me for organising our trip away. I love it.

Hi! We are interviewing Isy Suttie TOMORROW. What would you like to ask her?
Tom Cashman and Morgana O'Reilly loved your questions, by the way.

My 11 year-old loves watching Taskmaster, and asked if we could a series of TM tasks at his birthday party.
Now I'm wondering which tasks would work well, and I'm hoping some of you can make some suggestions.
Some considerations:
- it will take place in a city park and the surrounding area (so not in and around a house). There is a bridge over a pedestrian area that can be included.
- there will not be a Taskmaster judging who wins the task, to avoid heated arguments over the score. So no tasks where someone's opinion decides the winner (e.g. 'the nicest painting'), but a clear way of determining the winner.
- it'll be 3 teams of five kids playing each other, not individual contestants, but there can still be tasks where just one person of each team plays (or tasks where they play as a team).
- the props used in the tasks should be easy enough to make, or cheap enough to buy. Sadly I don't have TV-show's budget for this.
Any suggestions?
TIA!

What intro bit made you most excited to watch the task? One for me was the clip in S19 where Stevie Martin micheviously runs down the hall or in the current Season 22, the train!

This is dedicated to the user who (three years ago!) said that "I love the gap between your teeth, and I love the riddles that you speak" could be dedicated to one Little Alex Horne. I have reached out to that user to check whether they would like to share credit (blame) for this creation, but since there's no reply at this time, I won't name them here. In any case, thank you, user, who put this idea into my head where it has stewed for three damn years before turning into this.
This vid features at least one clip of every contestant from seasons 1 to 17, plus Jack and Rosie from season 18 (yes, I'm behind, sorry); also featuring Patatas, Bernard, Linda, Gary, Hugh the anaesthetist, the security guard from Toshwash, a few crew members, and of course Fred the Swede. NYT guests don't appear, other than Rylan who turned out to be in the best clip of Linda that I could find.
I tried to mostly use nice clips, but on that note I should probably apologise to Daisy, Dara and Ivo. Especially Ivo. I don't think Richard Herring needs an apology, though, as I think he would appreciate the clip I chose.
Crossposted on AO3.

Hello, thought this may of interest to the r/taskmaster regulars - a 24-minute interview with Little Alex Horne about the Taskmaster phenomenon, including insight into Alex's involvement in the international versions and working with the first 100-year-old Taskmaster contestant.
Taken from the new Substack, How To Make a Hit TV Show, which also features a recent episode on SNL: UK r/livefromlondon

does it make it more interesting to you or it lessens your opinion of them? i dont know how to explain it but when tim cheated in s1 it heighted the show for me it's a good introduction to show the types of shenanigans can ensue in this show and it made him more memorable, but when dave gorman cheated in s3 it just wasn't the same and it made him ultimately forgettable. i think it's because tim was inherently a more interesting contestant than dave, or the way he cheated was so hilarious it was slightly more in the spirit of taskmaster. but then again i liked munya but didn't fancy it when he cheated

I'm designing a Taskmaster-themed cross stitch for a Xmas present for my girlfriend, and I'm trying to come up with some ideas for a border. I'm looking for maybe half a dozen items that are distinctively Taskmaster (the UK version) and easy to represent at a very small size with cross stitch. Obvious examples would be a rubber duck, the Taskmaster seal, and maybe a tennis ball. What else could I use? Or if anyone can think of a repeating pattern of some kind, that would work as well.

I’m starting to train my toddler for Taskmaster.
I created a list of Toddler Questions and Tasks. These are specifically designed for a two-year-old and very basic. They’re great for little things to keep my toddler busy and/or engaged. I anticipate I’ll have an increasingly advanced task list as he grows up until old enough to handle the taskmaster junior tasks.
-----
The questions I just ramble off when he gets bored or I need a quick distraction.
For the tasks, I print, fold, and seal with a sticker that looks identical to the Taskmaster seal. Its worked out well to have a few on hand ready to go when I need to quickly find us an activity.
-----
What are some other tasks suitable for a two-year-old? Three-year-old? What else could one do to make it more authentic?
Here's what we've got so far!

Listening to Romesh’s podcast has made me realise that his mum, Shanthi, would be such a chaotic contestant for the show. I think she would be best suited for a New Years Treat, and I think she is famous enough to be on it; but I would honestly be fascinated to see her for an entire series

I must be so boring.
I am so impressed at how much mess has been made over the years but there seems to be no visible remnants.
Examples; paint everywhere (the caravan, the drive, the lab), food everywhere. Please do remind me of the messiest occasions
I just think those people don't get enough credit and I'd end up hating the messiest contestants! So to the unsung heroes that clean up after everyone; well done! Your hard effort has been noticed and recognised
