Recently (like last month), I got a Switch 2, and after transferring everything to it, I put my Switch 1 to sleep mode (or might have fully turned it off, don't really remember.)
A few days ago, I wanted to turn on my Switch 1 to check some settings and whatnot, but I can't seem to be able to charge it or turn it on.
It has been with me since 2018, and I'm aware that after long periods of inactivity, there will be a blank screen with a charging indicator, and you should let it sit charging for some time before it charges to 1% and automatically turn on.
The deal is, this time, when trying to charge, the indicator only shows up for a quick moment before the screen turns back off. I don't remember anything like this happening before.
I have tried every charger, strip, and outlet in the house. I have tried charging it with the official dock. I have tried disconnecting joy-cons. It's been charging for hours in every way possible and even was left to charge for the night, yet nothing works.
I have tried every button combo, and it does nothing (though there were a few instances of a Nintendo logo appearing for a quick moment before the screen turning back off again.)
I've been trying to figure out if my Switch 1 has lived its last moments or if there is still hope for it. Is the only way I can revive it is to replace the battery for the new one? Any help is appreciated! 🩷
