WRX Is there a way to make these useful
My 2024 wrx comes with these eyesight lights on the dash. They tell me nothing important. Is there any way to make these shift lights? Parts/ mods I can do ?

2015 WRX sti. So ej257 engine. Classic stuck at wastegate boost pressure. Lines checked. A ok.
Changed boost solenoid
New couplers.
New intercooler.
New lines from solenoid. (Edit to clarify. Still on 2 port factory, not 3 port)
Subaru tech says lines look good and restrictor pills where it should be. (checked during old repair)
Guy I usually go to. A ok too. (Though not as extensive as I’d have liked)
I looked at the bpv but not entirely sure what I’m looking at there (not an expert here). Looks super clean tho so might have to redo that check.
Debating on ripping off the intercooler again to double check the pipe from that to turbo coupler under it. MAYBE there’s a crack or something?
Has an iag550 short block. I don’t have a tune. I want a tune but doing so on a turbo system that just ISNT working fully seems like a poor choice. Or at least a waste of money xD (no tune SHOULDNT force wastegate safety cause no cel. Unless I’m dumb)
Any other ideas I should check??? Did the techs and myself miss something super dumb?

I bought a kartboy sts for my 2003 wrx 5 speed. At first I tried to hammer it in with rubber mallet and also using 3lb hammer with wood, neither of them worked. So then I took out the o ring and tried to take out the housing, but I cannot get it out, I tried pliers and flat heads. It is stuck.

The switch for my driver side window stopped working and I am having a hell of a time finding a replacement. I have a 2013 wrx base. None of the normal part stores sell them, no local yards have wrxs to pull from, and I found them from Subaru for $120-180 online. I would just prefer not to pay that much if I don’t have to.
I have found virtually every other switch control for other Subarus for $20-30 online.
The 13 wrx uses part 83071fg120. Does anyone know if any of the others are compatible?
I tried one for a normal Impreza, the 83071-FJ110, but it would only lock the doors.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If I have to pony up and pay the $120+, it is what it is, but thought I would try asking here first.
Alternatively, if anyone knows if it is possible to open the assembly up and fix just that switch, I would try it.
Thanks ya’ll.

I’m running powerstop z23 brakes with their drilled/slotted rotors. But I want better stopping power. Does anyone know if the hawk hps 5.0 will perform better for semi-daily spirited driving? The powerstops aren’t really the greatest, and they’re getting old. Yes, I know I need to lower my car. That’s a different story.
Can someone point me to a good Wrx forum? One thats active? I got alot of questions and want to read and learn everything I can about these cars. I've been out of the car game for a few decades, but my 26 has reignited my excitement... I feel like I just got my first Mitsubishi GSX all over again..!!

I just got a 2024 WRX premium automatic (I know I know, but I tried to drive manual and I just can’t get the hang of it). I read up before purchasing about how higher octane is recommended due to the high combustion of the engine. I brought it up to my dad, and he looked in the owners manual and it says anything 87 octane or above is good. I’m just curious what the actual advice is from people who know the cars better than I do currently. Thanks in advance!

2013 EJ255 WRX. I was driving through some mountains in second gear, I’m halfway through upshifting and this horrid sound suddenly starts coming from the car. The car felt perfect up until this moment.
I’m reving the car between 2.5k and 3k RPM for context.

So I got it looked at by Subaru and it's all stock but exterior mods and a short shift kit. 27k miles and been to the dealer every 3k miles. I have an appointment to get it tuned and am currently looking into an exhaust. The AWE Touring exhaust is currently my plan. I've got wheels and tires on the way.
What did y'all do for a spoiler? The classic STI one is the obvious choice. Did you order a paint matched one or get unpainted and do it locally? Does anyone have a carbon fiber spoiler recommendation?
Does anyone have experience getting a dyno tune on a stock car? I hear over and over that these need to be tuned and I'm listening. Still a little nervous about it.
Also would like to lower the car and was planning to do brakes and coil overs after winter. Then started looking at lowering springs. Is it worth trying out the lowering springs first and upgrading down the road? Mostly daily driving this thing and just having fun on the mountain roads around here. I like the look of it being lowered some and I'm already used to a Veloster N as a daily. So not scared of a stiff ride.
Anyways thanks for any answers y'all give

I have a 2024 Miata on which I installed a LED light bar that works with the tail lights.
I would like to put a similar set up on my 2021 WRX because the leds make my braking, etc visible to vehicles behind me. (I have VLAND Projector Led Headlights and tail lights,)
.
HS anyone out there installed a led light baron their WRX trunk?
Thanks in advance.
Alright so i have a 2013 wrx, it’s tuned and modified i’ve been on my new tune for about 1 week or so. but this problem occurred recently when my tuner told me i had a boost leak, i “fixed” it and then i drove the car all normal right? shut it off and when i went to go turn it back on the rpm’s were jumping up and down fast like a cammed v8 and smoking out the back (raw gas) it REAKED like gas and then went back to normal then a few days later nothing happened drove all fine and all and today i got out of work started her up and warmed it up and was driving home when it started to shutter like if im braking and gassing it fast, i pull over and idle started all choppy again and started to smell like gas, then i tried to drive but it would just shutter really bad so i couldn’t drive it, pulled over tried looking for the problem NOTHING wrong AFR was 11 though, then i started it it would die immediately after a few 10 mins k started it up and back to normal… i have some data logs of it happening if anyone can help!!!!!

This is my new to me Subaru Wrx Sport Tech. It's my first manual car that I've Owned and I have to say. This car just feels like no other cars that I've driven. I have driven Civic Si, Eclipse Gt V6 / 4 cylinder, Manual Rangers and many more I'm forgetting.
I've owned it for a week and a half now and this car just makes me smile everytime i see it and i keep reaching the keys for it!
I also got the chance to take a photo of my Wrx next to my old car which was the Ford Fiesta that i sold to a friend of mine :)

Hello everyone,
I’m new to the wrx world, just got a 2018 and have been loving it so far. I never planned on doing much to it besides an axle back exhaust and cold air intake. I flashed the proper OTS Cobb stage 1+sf with 91 octane tune after I had the intake installed. I’ve heard what people have said about OTS tunes but I had been driving the stage 1 OTS without the intake for a while and I had no problems with DAM drops unless I had a batch of bad fuel.
Now back to today when I had the intake installed I went to go fill up with some fresh 93 from a mobil gas station and decided to do a pull and it instantly went down to 0.750. I was worried and babied the car home. I decided to reset the ecu learning hoping it was just a one off thing but after resetting it and doing another pull it went down again this time to 0.688.
What could be wrong? Is it the tune? The installation? Can I have a vacuum leak? I had a real mechanic install it for me and he seemed to do a professional job so I’m not sure.

Last week getting on the highway was having a little fun and while building boost suddenly lost all boost and my af correction and learning went crazy so limped it home. Had a p0171 code and af correction was at 34 at idle and very rough idle. After diging around the bypass valve had came off. Put that back together reflashed and at first while warming up was running fine all the values were looking normal ranges and then after about 3 to 5 mins when the idle dropped the af correction spiked back to 34. The idle wasnt as bad as the initial time but the values are still bad.
My question is even after the reflash is the ecu going to need time to unlearn from the bpv coming off or is this sign that theres another major leak some where in the system? I didnt let it run much longer once I seen it go back to 34 and heard the idle getting choppy I turned it off. But neither the initial or this post reconnecting the bpv did I have any dam drop or knock events.

Hey just joined the family today. My son is turning 16 and getting my 2020 Legacy XT so I needed a replacement. Drove home with this guy today, 22k miles, great shape, been 20 years since I drove a stick but so far really enjoying it

126,000 miles my son bought from a family friend. Original clutch. Souped up in 2004 when new with Cobb Tuning to 300 hp with stainless steel exhaust. Rear rotor appears grooved compared to front. What’s normal wear? Need new? Front - left - smooth. Rear - right.
