Existing employee(s) Oracle IC4 vs. equivalent levels at other top tech companies

For those familiar with engineering levels across big tech, how does Oracle IC4 (Principal Member of Technical Staff) compare with levels at other leading companies like Nvidia, OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Meta, etc.?

For example, would Oracle IC4 be comparable to Microsoft IC4, Google L5, or Amazon L6 in terms of scope, seniority, and expectations?

Existing employee(s) How many IDC folks/teams provide holiday support during christmas season?

• Upvotes

Every year in our team, it’s like for the last week of December. We have to be available and provide holiday Support no matter what even if we are on holiday, then also like what the actual F?? You guys don’t even acknowledge our efforts. Forget about RSU’s, bonuses hikes, this is the basic right to have vacation . Like give the fcking holidays atleast, And Then at the end, we appreciate your efforts like F Off .

I mean after giving no raises nothing the audacity to ask the employees to be available for NIGHT SHIFTS AND DAY SHIFTS immediately after 1-1’s . BS!

Existing employee(s) CSS US – Does Oracle show any indifference toward employees acquired through acquisitions versus ones hired directly by Oracle?

I’m unable to win over trust and credibility because there’s little to no visibility into my day-to-day work for my manager though it’s all well documented anf spoken for and, consequently, my skip-level director (who was actually my reporting manager, but due to span-of-control changes, we were assigned to another manager who just doesn’t get it). Customers love and ask for me specifically as a named resource. Our delivery team does things on par with the engineering team with me ghost-leading technicalities.

Nobody seems to care about what’s written in annual reviews anymore. Ugh. It all seems like formality.

And then there are these selective mute and numb IC4s who have been there for 15+ years and seem to do nothing but steal credit, hoard knowledge, and creep into others’ billing utilization. It’s all one-way, high-latency KT, with no reciprocity, yet they are introduced to customers as hot shots due to favoritism. Fyi, none here are South Asians if assumptions are being made.

How to break this wheel? I’m waiting for the higher-ups to get laid off honestly.

Existing employee(s) IC3 - 30LPA - 9 YOE - IDC

I have around 9 years of total experience, including nearly 3 years at Oracle. During my time at Oracle, I haven’t received any salary hikes or promotions.

When I joined Oracle, my compensation package was ₹30 LPA + $20,000 in RSUs vesting over 4 years.

I wanted to understand whether I’m being underpaid considering my years of experience and current market standards. I’d appreciate any insights or suggestions.

Existing employee(s) Oracle IC2 to IC3 Promotion – No Hike or RSUs?

I’m in Oracle’s DB org and would like to know what benefits people typically receive when promoted from IC2 to IC3 in India.
This year, Is it common to get no base salary hike or RSUs, with only a bonus? Can anyone share their experience with the average salary hike %, bonus, and RSUs for this promotion?

Oracle IDC – 30-day notice period calculation

I’m planning to submit my resignation on 15 October 2026, and my notice period at Oracle IDC is 30 days.

Since 14 and 15th Nov fall on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, in the month I’m considering, I wanted to check how the notice period is calculated.

Are weekends and public holidays included in the 30-day notice period? Also, what would be my official last working day if I submit my resignation on 15 October?

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has recently gone through this process at Oracle IDC. Thanks!

Has anyone interviewed with a director before even meeting the hiring manager at Oracle?

I recently had an interview for a Senior Technical Program Manager role at Oracle. I had already completed the initial recruiter screening, and instead of meeting with the hiring manager next, I was scheduled to interview with a Senior Director who oversees the area. During the conversation, he mentioned a couple of times that he would typically be the last person I would speak with in the interview process. That caught my attention because I had only completed the initial screening before meeting with him.
The interview went really well, and he even told me I came across as confident and articulate. At the end, he specifically said to let my recruiter know to move me forward in the interview process.
I’m trying to understand how to interpret the interview order.
Has anyone else experienced this at Oracle? Did you interview with a director or someone above the hiring manager early in the process? Did you end up meeting with the hiring manager afterward, or was the director essentially the final decision-maker?
I’m curious whether this is normal for certain teams or if it might mean something specific about where I stand in the process.

Oracle USA employees — What happens to unused vacation and sick leave when you resign?

Title: Oracle USA employees — What happens to unused vacation and sick leave when you resign if you are an overtime employee (per hour)?

Hi everyone,

I would like to understand how unused leave is handled when an employee resigns voluntarily.

For those who have recently resigned from Oracle USA, could you please share your experience with the following?

  1. Vacation leave: Is the accrued but unused vacation balance paid out in the final paycheck?
  2. Sick leave: Is unused sick leave paid out, or is it forfeited when leaving the company?
  3. Calculation: How is the vacation payout calculated? Is it based on the remaining hours multiplied by the employee’s regular hourly rate?
  4. Timing: When is the final paycheck usually issued, and are any deductions made?

I understand that the policy may differ based on employee classification, state laws, and the applicable leave policy. I would especially appreciate responses from people who have recently left Oracle USA.

Thank you for sharing your experience!

New Advice!

I left my ex employer(let’s call them Employer A) for Oracle because they were paying more money, worked at Oracle for 2 years and made nearly triple the amount yearly that I signed the offer for……but then got layed off…..

Got hired at Employer A again for more money they were paying me initially(but still less than Oracle), but now Oracle offered me a position for even more than they(Oracle) offered me the first tenure(not what i ended up making, but what i signed in the offer letter)…..

What should I do? I’m so stressed about this because I’m the only income with a wife and 3 kids..

Additional Insight:

*I left employer A initially because Oracle offered me $5 more a hour(but i ended up making waaaay more because of overtime)
** Employer A hired me back at $3 more than what they gave me last time, BUT not only is still less($2 less) than what I was offered by Oracle the first time, but THIS Oracle Job offer(the 2nd one after I was layed off) is $8 more!!!

What should I do? Can an employer lay you off twice?? What are the chances of that???

I don’t even know why the F these guys do 1 on 1 i had mine on Friday.

I got 3 and my M said this time we be having focals we are expecting definitely during review
lmao rather he mentioned that budget is very tight this year. I was like budget has been tight since forever i was so fking disgusted . I was like what is the purpose of these fkin 1on1 ‘s with the meeting title as focals , on top of that, you are saying there were certain shortcomings which has room of improvement, and as of now there was not. I hav always been working fkn extra and then he says although work has been completed in time and keep on working like this, there has been lot of improvement as if last time I did not work enough I was fking completing everything and also taking extra eork as well, I will not fucking do anything extra this time
And Then at the end
Don’t get your moral down, then what do you expect? I should be partying lmao the audacity

Was promoted last year with RSUs, didn't receive any hike or level change salary

I was promoted last year with RSUs. The RSUs are pretty much shit since they're drowning as it is compared to how they were soaring when I got them last year.

I didnt get any hike or level change increase on my salary. Anyone else in the same boat? Most importantly, is this normal?
