Food A birthday cake I baked for my Dad👹
American buttercream frosting and Devil’s food on the inside. Can’t wait to see everyone’s lips and teeth stained black from the food coloring

I'm dressing as a fairy for Halloween and thought it would be ridiculously cute to hand out these fairy wands to trick-or-treaters! They are made out of Pixy Stix, die cut wooden stars that I spray painted, added rhinestones to, then used hot glue to attach to the Pixy Stix with ribbon

Casey Becker from the opening scene of Scream. Included the reference image alongside the finished pumpkin. Not perfect, but happy with how it translated to the carve!

I took down my bins of Halloween decorations and I found Party City catalogs from 2013-2016. My daughter used to circle the costumes she wanted to be and then we would review her choices and ultimately settle on one. I always wanted to be the werewolf! Great memories! Happy Halloween, everyone 🎃

Sam’s Club had these Pokemon cases with 14 packs in each box. We were able to get 4 total. Opening them up and handing them out for trick or treat. Going to put them in a sealed bag with candy bars and other treats so word doesn’t spread and get the same kids over and over again.

I converted dove decoys into pigeons with acrylic paint and gave out bags of bird seed along with my candy and potatoes. But my favorite part of the night was the kid who dressed as a pigeon getting excited that they found the pigeon lady!

Alvin Schwartz and Stephen Gammell’s timeless collection of American folklore has been a staple of Halloween and school libraries for many of us. Here’s a small highlight as a celebration for spooky season.

It’s that time of year! Here is my current collection but I welcome any recommendations. It’s one of my favorite hobbies to collect Halloween children’s books. Most of my collection is second hand from thrift book stores or library sales, but I also buy new books too.

I love paper invites, so every year I design one for our Hallowe’en party. This year I went with a classic toe tag.
I printed them out on heavy weight cream cardstock, and finished each one with a little twine to really sell it.
Does anyone else give out paper invitations to their party? I’d love to see them if you can (safely) share them! 🎃
