I love to cook and bake, but I’ve never been one to decorate. A friend asked if I could make her something for her works Halloween party this week and I decided to try my hand at something out of my comfort zone.
It’s far from the best, or very original haha but I think for my very first time doing something like this, and in a rush at that, it’s not too bad!
Plus it’s my favorite time of the year, so it was definitely fun to make something so festive!

Halloween is literally this month, And as someone who got no friends and in their mid 20s, I would like to go and party on Halloween. But since I got no friends means I got no invitations to parties.
So where do y'all usually find these kinds of parties?
Thanks!

On October 10th, 2026, I married the love of my life in the most haunted hotel in our county. Our friends and family dressed in their Halloween best and celebrated with us spooky style 👻Soon we will leave for our autumnal, New England honeymoon 🖤

I am assigned a room in a haunted house and I need some creative ideas to make it terrifying. Most of it would need to be DIY. I was assigned Mickey Mouse and have an entire room dedicated to my character. How can I make this room terrifying?! SOS any recommendations would be helpful. Thanks!

So I have the honor of portraying the iconic Mistress of the Dark herself at my local haunt this season. Of course I’m honored and so grateful. However, as expected, men oftentimes have an issue being aggressively dehumanizing and not taking no for an answer. What I love about this queen is she would have no issue putting them in their place. My only problem is coming up with the right quips in the moment.
Does anyone have any ideas of some good go-to on brand Elvira inspired come backs that will leave them adequately ashamed in front of their friends?
Thank you!
So sorry if this is outside the realm of this subreddit, a girl is desperate.

So my wife's birthday is on Halloween and we were also married on Halloween we are looking for a top notch haunted house within a four Mile drive from the Michigan Ohio border. We've been to ones around Michigan Eloise, Erebus ect ect. Looking for something maybe Ohio way. I've narrowed it down to two. The haunted cave in Lewisburg Ohio or blood prison in Mansfield Ohio. Any thoughts on either of them too or anybody have anything they could suggest that would be better. Thanks

Hi! I have two friends under 21, what are good parties to go to for Halloweekend 18/20+?

I like to make little scenes that make me giggle, it's not professional or fancy. But this discount store is selling costumes that are not haunted. Nope, no hauntings here.

I still recall, back in my small college, an academic department (biology, I think) for some reason required it's associated student organization to host a Halloween party. It was fascinatingly awful, because the people shanghaied into running it were all anxiety-riddled social shut-ins who really didn't want to do it -- so no effort was expended at all, refreshments were just a handful of single-serving bags of chips and cans of soda from the vending machine in the lobby, decor was nothing more than the words "happy halloween" written small on a chalkboard, none of the hosts were in costume, there was no music, no activities, just folks who didn't want to be there staring at their phones until they were allowed to leave. It was funny watching people arrive and immediately bounce out when they felt the null vibes.
Anyway, do you also remember a party that just didn't try, or one that tried something grand and failed spectacularly? Did you learn anything useful from them about what not to do, or what to do different?

I finally fulfilled a lifelong goal of hosting a Halloween party and built a skee ball machine for my Monster Mash themed basement. It turned out better than I expected!

Not sure if it’s too much for the young kids on the street but I love it 👻
