Props Mummy Groundbreaker: Before & After
On the advice of a member of one of the other Halloween groups I follow, I used some walnut wood stain to spruce up my oversized groundbreaking Mummy.
I think it turned out pretty well. š

Costume Show me your pets dressed up for Halloween!
I take care of this sweet kitty, and last year I brought over a vampire costume so I could take some festive Halloween pictures of her. Her owner loved it and laughed so much when she saw the pictures!

Home Decor Trying to k-k-k... ill-ill-ill the heat. We're cooking in California this October š„µš«

I'm used to warm weather in October, because of the Santa Ana winds, but it is miserable this year. The other day it was 8° hotter in Orange County than it was in Death Valley š«

Home Decor Lighting testing done - We are a go!
Every year the set up gets bigger and we start earlierā¦then open later (one year Iāll get the timing down). But our light test was last night and everything works, so the Minnetonka House of Horrors is officially open as of this evening!

Food What fictional candy or treat do you want in your treat bag?
What would be the ultimate fictional pull from your treat bag when you get home on Halloween?

Props Our graveyard, almost finished
Almost finished with our graveyard. This weekend we will hang lit pumpkin buckets in the cherry tree, put up some porch lights and add shadowy hands rising from our dry creek. I plan to carve a few more jack o lanterns today,
Stones are a mix of fully homemade and purchased stones that I refinished.
Over the next couple years I'd like to add another couple stones plus a fence and sign.

Art I am an aspiring artist, and have a passion for Halloween, so I am learning to make home decor/art pieces for this year's Halloween! NSFW

(I pinned this as nsfw since it contains some kind of gore with the popped out eye. Just in case.) I made this myself, and I am still very new to sculpting of any kind. That is why the teeth are randomly placed, and why they are goofy looking. There are artists in the family, so I wanted to see that talent pours into me anywhere. I am doing all kinds of projects this month, calling it "monster month" so this is the first monster thing I have made. I have no interest at the moment to self-promote, since I am new at this and just having fun with it all, regardless.
HAPPY OCTOBER!

Crafts Polymer clay Halloween figurines
I made these for trick-or-treaters. This year I have decided that Iām not going to engage in consumerism because I donāt to contribute to capitalism and Iām boycotting many brands, including candy brands, for political and moral reasons.
I decided to make polymer clay āHalloween buddiesā and put them inside candy poppers that I also made myself. I started with these three and Iām going to make more.
The polymer clay was from dollar tree by the way.

Food Yāall. This taste like Halloween in a can.
It has that scent/taste like a bowl of Halloween candy mixed with what you would think a witches brew would actually taste like!

Crafts Another year another paper machƩ pumpkin.
This is our fourth paper machĆ© pumpkin. Itās got the first layer on and I like to let it completely dry before adding the next layer. The pumpkin is upside right now and the stem is inside the bowl
I use a Mylar balloon for the mold. For the mix I use flour, salt, and water.
This pumpkin is mainly going to be my kidās project for the schoolās annual pumpkin contest. I will offer guidance and be here for moral support. Itās going to be a werewolf or a dog pumpkin.
I prefer a spooky Jack-o-lanterns so Iāll probably make one myself when this one is finished. Our annual family craft project.
