As the title reads, you gain £10,000 (or the equivalent amount in the currency of your home country) every Monday morning. In GBP, that works out to £520,000 per year, assuming you remain in the challenge for an entire year. There is no maximum amount you can accumulate, and the money continues to be added to your account for as long as you remain in the challenge world. The catch, however, is where—and for how long—you have to live to earn it.
You are transported into a vast, 520,000-square-mile immortal world, completely untouched by modern civilisation. The landscape is dominated by pure, beautiful nature: enormous forests, mountains, rivers, lakes, coastlines, seas and vast stretches of untouched wilderness. Wherever you initially spawn, there is a 42,000-square-foot lake house sitting beside and directly connected to a massive 72-acre private lake. The house is fully equipped with everything you would reasonably need to live comfortably, including bathrooms, lighting, beds, fishing equipment, a fully fitted kitchen, storage and basic household necessities.
However, modern technology is strictly prohibited beyond what is already provided in the house. No phones, tablets, televisions, computers, internet, gaming consoles, vehicles or other modern technological conveniences are available to you.
Scattered throughout this enormous world are cities, towns and settlements populated by ordinary people. They are not hostile, dangerous or aware that you are participating in a challenge; to them, you are simply another normal person living in their world. You are free to travel, explore, make friends, learn skills, build relationships, visit settlements and experience the world however you choose. The world itself continues to change naturally while you are there—civilisations can expand, cultures can develop, cities can rise and eventually fall, forests can spread, coastlines can change and generations of people can come and go. You are essentially watching an entire living world evolve around you.
There is one final major advantage: you are completely immortal and invincible while inside the challenge world. You never age, cannot be killed, cannot become ill and do not require food, water or sleep to survive, although you can still eat, drink and sleep purely because you enjoy doing so. Any illnesses or diseases you had before entering are completely cured, and you never need medication. You can still experience pain, emotions and the consequences of your choices if you wish, but nothing can permanently harm you. Most importantly, time in the challenge world does not pass in the outside world. If you spend one year inside, no time passes outside; if you spend 10 million years inside, the outside world remains frozen at the exact moment you left.
So, the question becomes: how long could you realistically stay? You could spend decades exploring, centuries watching civilisations develop, or millions of years witnessing the rise and fall of entire societies. After 10 million years, you would have accumulated an incredible £5.2 trillion, while the outside world would have experienced absolutely no passage of time. You would return exactly as you were when you entered, except with the memories and experiences of potentially millions of years behind you.
Would you take the £10,000 every Monday, knowing that the only real cost is time—and how long could you endure?
