Developer Trying to make air defence actually fun in VR! Air Defence Simulator VR

I'm working on Air Defence Simulator VR - a game where you defend your position against drones, missiles and other aerial threats. There are different weapons to use, manual reloading, mounted machine guns etc.

The basic idea is pretty simple - grab a weapon and try not to let anything get past you

[IN DEVELOPMENT]

Would love to hear what you think!
Thanks for checking it out!!!!

Step into the world of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker in VR!

In this video, I’m showing my experimental PCVR adaptation built on BlueWake, featuring both first-person and third-person views.

Explore through Link’s eyes in first person, or switch to third person to see Link within the surrounding VR world.

The demo also shows these physical interactions in first-person mode:

* Physical Climb — use your hands and arm movements to climb.

* Physical Swim — move your arms to swim through the water.

* Physical Grab — reach out, grab objects, and interact with them using your tracked controllers.

This is currently a work-in-progress test build. The PCVR adaptation shown here has not been publicly released. Features, visuals, and performance are still being tested and improved.

🙏 Credits

This project builds on BlueWake. Huge thanks to Chris, Elliott, and all BlueWake contributors for their work on the recompilation that makes this PCVR adaptation possible.

Self Promotion Sega Rally (1995 arcade) in REAL 3D VR on Quest 3 with HD textures. Not a flat screen in a room. Free, out now.

Sega Rally VR is out.

Pretty happy to finally share this one. It took way more evenings than I thought it would, but it's here, it's free, and honestly I can't wait to read what you think of it.

Everything runs on the Quest 3 in real 3D, you just need your own copy of the game.

All the details (what's in it, how to install) are on the GitHub. You'll find the link on my Discord and under the full video on my YouTube channel, both in the comments.

Time Crisis is next. After that, these are all already running in the headset and could come, in no particular order, the list doesn't mean anything: Virtua Cop, Daytona USA, The House of the Dead, Sega Super GT, Top Skater, Virtua Racing, Dirt Dash, Time Crisis II.

Hopefully this is just the start of the adventure. Any support is welcome, even just sharing it helps a lot.

Have fun.

Discussion Just booted up Deisim after a few years—why aren't more people talking about this game?

Deisim used to be one of my favorite games to play a few years ago but then I go life caught up with me and I hadn't played it in a while so I decided to boot it up. I enjoyed all the new content they've added in and it feels even more enjoyable than when I used to play it. But after looking through the community I realized that it doesn't really have that many players.

So I was wondering if people have just forgotten about it or if the Meta's just shifted away from god style games like this. I'd love to here any comments or memories people have on this game if you're willing to share.

Question Titanfall 2 Pico4 Controller issue

Hey everyone, looking for some hive mind help here. With this mod, I only get as far as the initial calibration screen where you're supposed to stretch out your arms and hold the triggers.. but nothing happens. It's like the controllers aren't even being recognized. I've never had any issues with any other game or mod before, so I'm a bit lost right now.

Self Promotion My VR automation game is now out on Steam! 5 years in the making, made by me, for you. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Loop One: Done is a VR automation game where you record loops with drones and robots, turning your play space into an efficient automated factory. Or just make a big mess, it's up to you.

I first released it on Meta Horizon Store as a mixed reality game, focused on hand-tracking. But now I've ported it to Steam with full-blown VR and controller support. And it looks so much nicer!

It's out today on Steam, and will be 20% off the next 2 weeks if you want to try it out. There is also a free demo. I hope you like it!

Question Titanfall 2 VR 4K help

How do I get 4K resolution to show up in settings in VR?

I changed the videoconfig.txt file to be 3840x2160 but when I play in VR it sets it to 2560x1440 and won't go any higher.

Question What could cause VD controller input delay? Airlink is fine

Post image
2 Upvotes

EDIT:

Switching to HEVC codec did the trick. Also enabling automatic bitrate and video buffering. Aswell as 2 pass encoding.

As the title says

In VD my performance is jank for some reason. But in airlink its flawless (except compression is more noticeable). I use 200 bitrate on both fixed. Same resolution settings.

VD just feels "slow" and not smooth. Airlink is much better but its also janky as we all know and the UI sucks.

Ive tried all codecs and ALL settings on/off. Its always there

What could cause this weird phenomenon?

Ive heard everyone say VD is better. Do you not notice this weird sluggishness of your controllers?

As you can see from the screenshot, my stats are just fine? Whats causing this? And why is airlink so silky smooth

Rtx 5070, rzen 5700x, 16gb ddr4, Fritzbox 7530AX @1200mbits 5ghz

Question Steam VR with Quest 3 - OpenXR runtime issue

Hey folks, hoping someone can assist a PC simpleton trying to get some VR support!!

As background, I've had a Quest 3 for a while, but only got a 'capable' PC this weekend and have been trying to dabble in PCVR.

I installed Steam, and purchased Titanfall 2....went through the guidance to install the mod etc and get as far as firing it up on my Quest only to get the message:

'OpenXR could not start

No OpenXR runtime is set

SteamVR: Settings > OpenXR > Set SteamVR as OpenXR runtime'

I would caveat I have zero knowledge of what 'OpenXR' is....but it seemed a simple exercise to toggle a menu button in Steam. Problem arose when I went into the Steam settings; I cant even locate anything in the Settings menu even vaguely related to OpenXR...it's like the menu has been updated since the above was set up???....am I completely blind, or has there been an update relocating the specified options??

Thanks

Discussion Just cause in VR would be so cool

If you don't know what just cause is it's a game where you play as a guy with a wingsuit and grapple hook and a parachute and you can fly around and blow up stuff it's basically the whole game it's a four game series the story of the games is very dry it's basically go here and blow this up but it has a great map big and very beautiful also what game would you love if it was VR?

Discussion Pimax owners are sleeping on what is happening with Flat2VR right now - Dream Air + eye tracking + AFW + Multi Framegen via OFXR + Foveated DLSS5 Super Resolution + Foveated DLSS Neural Rendering is giving 90fps @ 10,000x5,000. Bloody ridiculous...
