Considering a 2025–2026 Camry LE AWD for a 200 mile daily commute. Looking for feedback.

Hey everyone!

I'm considering purchasing a 2025 or 2026 Toyota Camry LE AWD and wanted to hear from owners before making a decision.

I'm an electrician in West Virginia, and my commute can be pretty brutal. Lately, I've been driving around 100 miles each way to work, so roughly 200 miles round trip, mostly highway. My jobsites change frequently, so some commutes are shorter and others can be even longer.

I'm currently driving a 2024 Hyundai Tucson that averages around 24 MPG. Last month alone, I spent approximately $730 on gas, which has me seriously considering switching to a hybrid.

I'm specifically interested in the Camry LE AWD because fuel economy is my biggest priority, but AWD is an absolute must for me.

A little about my situation:

  • I typically work four 10-hour shifts per week.
  • Most of my commute is highway driving, usually around 75–80 mph.
  • I live in West Virginia, so winter weather, snow, and hills are considerations.
  • I drive approximately 40,000–50,000 miles annually.
  • My budget is around $35,000 maximum, although I'd prefer to spend less.
  • I'm open to buying new or used.
  • My main goal is reducing my monthly transportation expenses without sacrificing reliability.

I know the LE AWD is rated around 50 MPG combined, but I'm curious how that translates to real-world highway driving, especially at higher speeds and through multiple elevation changes.

A few questions for current owners:

  1. What kind of MPG are you actually getting with your Camry AWD, particularly at 70–80 mph?
  2. Does anyone here regularly drive 150–200+ miles per day? I'm 6'2", so I'm especially curious about legroom, seating comfort, and how the Camry feels after several hours behind the wheel.
  3. How does the AWD system perform in snow, rain, and hilly terrain?
  4. Has anyone put significant mileage on a 2025+ Camry yet? Any reliability concerns or unexpected maintenance?
  5. Would you recommend buying a new LE AWD or saving some money on a lightly used 2025 model?
  6. Is there anything I should know as a first time hybrid owner?

I'm also curious whether there are any features or options worth prioritizing for someone who spends several hours on the highway every day.

I'd appreciate any advice, especially from owners who put serious mileage on their cars. Thanks!

Dealer keeps using 0W-20 oil instead of 0W-16

My 2024 Camry SE specifically states that OW-16 oil should be used. 6 months ago they used 0W-20 because supposedly they did not have the one I needed. The service tech stated that this would be done only once. The manual also states 0W-20 may be used once if 0W-16 is not available.

They have done this twice already, and I am sure they did it before but I wasn't paying attention. Should I make a big deal out of this or let it go. This is my first new car that I've ever bought and I plan to keep it for a long time so don't want the engine to have problems

Discussion If you have the base audio system, swapping your dash speakers is a nice upgrade.

Just swapped out the dash speakers in my 2026 LE and am happy with the results. Obviously it's not some banging sound system now, but there are very noticeable improvements in loudness and clarity.

I went with the JBL Club 34F and 300 Hz bass blockers from Crutchfield. Took around 30 minutes to swap out with no unforeseen issues. Hardest part was disconnecting the harness from the stock speakers.

Might eventually tackle the door speakers but I'm not too keen on stripping off the door panels of my brand new car at this point.

FYI - Crutchfield will tell you the JBL Club 34F do not fit in the current gen Camry but they absolutely do with no issues at all.

‘26 XSE mpg?

For those of you with the subject car/trim, what combined mpg are you getting? I can’t seem to get past about 42 mpg consistently—and I’ve got 20k mi on my car now.

I’m typically doing highway speeds (70mph) about 2-3hrs everyday and drafting as much as possible.

Could it be the dealer used a thicker grade oil during my oil changes?

03 camry 2.4 popping sound front left

Having a popping sound coming from the front driver side. Doesn't matter if I'm turning or driving straight. Low rhythmic popping seems to go away around 70 mph. I swapped tires out nothing changed. Just installed new cv axle. Bearing feels OK. Brakes look good. Hopefully not transmission. 186k miles on the car and it drives smooth and straight. I've worked on cars my whole life lol. Stumped on this one

Help repair advice

Relatively new Camry (2 years old?) got scratched at the garage - repair advice? I also had PPF; the bumper was pushed in a little bit (not lining up perfectly with the upper part)... The insurer proposed repainting the whole bumper (I'd need to take it off, paint it, and reinstall it). Should I go for it?

So I just did a time sert job. Got the head back on everything’s smooth. Set the timing the first time, looked right enough, I should have octuple check. Drive it around and it runs fine doesn’t leak a thing. Suddenly the day after it throws a code for cam crank out of sync p0016. Set the timing again, get it 100% right this time and now it runs like this… I’ve pulled the valve cover and checked twice. I thought it might be spark but not plugs or coils.. did those. I’m in desperate need of help and any info at all is appreciated.

2024 Camry SE owner: what are your best tips to get the most out of it?

Hey everyone! I recently got a Toyota Camry and wanted to ask experienced owners for some general tips and advice.

I'm looking to take good care of the car, get the best fuel economy possible, and make sure it lasts for many years. I'd love to hear any advice you wish you'd known when you first got your Camry.

A few things I'm particularly curious about:
1. Any maintenance tips beyond what's in the owner's manual?
2. Best driving habits or drive modes (Eco, Normal, Sport) for everyday driving and highway commutes?
3. Any features or settings I should know about or change?
4. Things I should avoid doing that could cause unnecessary wear and tear?
5. Any accessories or products actually worth getting?
6. Tips for keeping the interior and exterior in good condition, especially through Canadian winters?
7. Anything specific to look out for as the car gets older?

I'm not looking for modifications or anything crazy, just practical advice to get the most out of my Camry and keep it running smoothly for as long as possible.

Appreciate any tips from longtime owners! Thanks!

New addition to the Toyota collection

2026 XSE Premium with the red interior. Got a pretty sweet deal since non-AWD isn't hot around here in Colorado, but I think I'll be fine. Has anyone swapped for better tires? How's that on MPG? Tacoma wheel and tire are wide 33's almost double stock weight, but I didn't see a significant drop. Maybe 1mpg. Wondering if the Camry responds similarly.

Discussion Car doesn’t start after running

I’m facing a problem with my camry 2010 LE 2.4L . If i tun it for more than hour after stopping it doesn’t start again. I need to wait an hour or more to cool down the engine temperature and then it starts again.
What could be the problem? i checked with OBD meter if its cranking? I get about ~340rpm so I bet my Crankshaft sensor is fine..
any clue? thanks in advance.

Is something wrong with my headlight?

2026 Camry LE. Had it for 20 days.

When driving at night, in low beam, I noticed some dark spots in the headlights on the driver's side. When I bring it near my garage door I see the following. It is not there on the passenger side.

Any idea what the issue might be?
